The problem I have with muting the game to listen to music is not being able to hear the game sound at all. It feels weird missing the sound effects, and in some games audio clues make the game more playable.

I wouldn't have imagined Z liking such hard metal as some of those songs.

My game machine of choice is the Acorn Electron microcomputer. The games came as audio cassettes, but you can download an emulator and countless games to play on a more modern computer.

These games usually had no music at all, or else annoying repetitive tunes, but music can nearly always be turned off. There is only one sound channel so the music stops playing while a sound from the game plays.

The original Mega Man and Mega Man X aren't exactly the same character. I guess they like X's look more, because they think it looks more "badass". Irem's Kung-Fu Master arcade should be praised more than Nintendo's NES port of it, simply called "Kung-Fu". When I first heard of Joan Jett somewhere else, I thought she sounded like a young boy with fat cheeks that acts like today's college boys that curse a lot.

I've found that the people who accuse those games of being sexist are almost always male, or haven't played them. I would say that Lara looks more like a Mary Sue character designed by a woman: she's beautiful, intelligent, rich, athletic, can outsmart and outfight any man, is always in control, and even has a wardrobe full of expensive clothes.

Minor mistake. The Wii does support costume soundtracks, it's just that most developers don't use it. The launch game Excitetruck had costume soundtrack, and so does Endless Ocean. There might be more, but I'm not sure.

"Custom," you mean? I've never heard of a costume soundtrack, is that something you listen to on Halloween or something? =P

It's a similar deal on the PS3, there're a lot of games that don't utilize the feature. Actually, maybe the only reason the 360 seems to have so many Custom Soundtrack compatible games is because Microsoft requires it.

I believe only two games for the Wii have that option to switch musik with an SD-card(Endless ocean and Excite Truck)... but honestly, games should have good music from the start of (Even sonic BK, wich was..... ok i guess, had realy nice soundtrack), but yea, it would be nice to see some more games have that option on the wii :)

I personally think Lara listens to Techno like Pendulum and Crystal Method. Most of Pendulum music is fast paced and works really well when exploring tombs and other various places that happen to be explorable.

you can't play games and listen to music at the same time on the PS3 unless you have a PS2 and 3 like me, cause my PS3 isn't backwards compatable, and you only plug in the video output of the PS2, and the audio output of the PS3, disturbed+god of war 2 equals awesome
