Oh crap I remember this! My mom was making grilled cheese and we were listening to the police scanner, and they said that they saw a funnel cloud heading tord us.
The sky looked gray and bright, and then it all the sudden turned pitch black and rain started pouring! Oh crap how scary it was!

Wow, pretty cool, looks like a couple of transformers arcing over wet lines.
The vertical light lines are probably a lens artifact from the bright light.
