@rdrgz05 There is no way we can tell you will be able to dunk the basketball. It is possible if you commit yourself to Vertical Jump Program that you completely involve yourself in and work really hard. No guarantees, however!
I am 6 feet tall, and I can grab rim consistently. When I just off 1 foot, It feels weaker than when I just off 2 feet with momentum. Is there some way to improve single legged jumping?
@bigpopppaa92 All of this information is available in our Vertical Jump Handbook on our Channel page. Check it out. It is a three month program of daily exercises. Very complete!
I really want to jump higher and do these exercies, but i'm afraid of hurting my knees or damaging my kidneys by jumping too much, would that really happen?
@pnwtree these two videos just show the demonstrations of the exercises we suggest. To really get the full benefit, you need to get our "Vertical Jump Handbook" (download link is in the description of the video) because it lays out 3 months of training.
@soldierlystew23 we made the handbook for people that really want to increase their vertical. We made it only $4.99 so that anyone could get it. That's three months of daily workouts for less than a sandwich at lunch would cost you. We worked really hard to make the handbook and these free demonstrations videos and any other program will cost you a lot more.
@soldierlystew23 Well, you probably don't really want to develop your vertical that badly then. It is almost free at $4.99! If you buy other programs they will charge you $30.00 and up for their program. Sorry!
let me get this straight, i can get all this information in your program, for $5 ? :O....im 6'3 16 years old and cant dunk :(..im hoiping your program will help me develop a strong lower body to do some good dunks like those guys in your video dunking(PART1 video)
@flybOiizel If you follow the program exactly as it is laid out in the outline you should be able to dunk the ball in three months or less. Hard work is the key here and not occasionally workout. You will also like how much stronger and explosive you will become as a result of this workout.
@MrAlexisz23 All components are important. If you just focus on one area, you will likely not make much progress, or at least start to get near your potential. Check out our "Vertical Jump Handbook" (download link in the description of this video) for what we suggest as a vertical program. Good luck!
@LilEpikBoii check out our "Vertical Jump Handbook" (download link is in the description of this video). It gives you a complete breakdown of what we suggest you do for a vertical program.
@Roflbrowser Get our Vertical Jump Handbook and it will give you all the drills you need to improve your vertical and involve all of your leg muscles. It will explain the use of the foam roller and stretching for better explosion. You can find this on our You Tube channel.
@joellouis2 Please go to our You Tube Channel and find the Vertical Jump Handbook. It is a complete 12 week program with daily workouts. We have had many students report some really good progress.
Awesome videos, I'm 6'4 and the tallest on my under 16's team and they've all been pressuring me to learn to dunk, but the problem is I can't jump, lets hope this helps. :D
@ThatOneGuyNamedLouis If you work your butt off it will really help you. We believe that the whole idea of the dunk is over-rated in high School basketball. Focus on your skills as well as your jumping and let the vertical jump be the important thing in your rebounding and less on dunking.
@mxftw15 The muscle mass is not the thing that is going to make you a great jumper. It is all the things in the first few weeks that you want to ignore. You can ignore these, but do not expect any significant gains. Re recommend that you follow the program for best results.
@thomastum well, it's important to understand that size alone "does not a Dunker Make!" He obviously does not have a big vertical. Let's not be too critical.
Hey Chase. Im wondering... im 5'10 and dont have such high hops. I can probable get up 2-2.5 feet up in there. Do you think after this program... I will be able to Dunk.?? I mean not only that, but even for harder layups like reverse and all. How many feet you think my jump will increase??
@oscarloco2 Oscar, you probably need to get another 3-4 inches on your vertical, but you can easily do this with our Vertical Jump Program. It will be a lot of hard work, but you can do it! Find the link on our You Tube Channel and it is down-loadable.
@oscarloco2 Remember this over 12 weeks and you can continue to use the same program for a year if you wanted to achieve something more. We are planning to have a new program that will follow up on the first 12 week program soon.
@bineteran Probably not a real problem. What may be harder on them is to use heavy weights. At fifteen your body is still maturing, but most young players can do the Vertical Jump exercises without a problem.
@bineteran The program will be tiring if you do it as directed by the Handbook, but you can still play. You will recover in a couple of hours and be ready to go.

Doing same number of times per exercise isn't accurate, because these exercises may work at different effectiveness. For example, the glutes squeeze isn't that intense, so you may need to do more of that than the hamstring bridge etc.

@YellowFlash5566 You really need to get the Vertical Jump Handbook that you can find on our You Tube channel. It is a complete three month program with reps and all the exercises. It is a must for your vertical.
@ShotScience I cant get the book cos you need a credit card or something right? Im only 14 and my parents never uses their credit card online unless if its for buying medicines lol

@ShotScience What about quickness and speed and body control overall. And then why are there certain players in the NBA like russle Westbrook, lebron James and Derrick rose that are more athletic then everyone else?
@HardWorkPays0ff you can definitely develop all of those aspects of athleticism. Guys like the ones you mentioned were probably born with natural abilities, but we can assure you that even they work really hard on developing their physical abilities.
@HardWorkPays0ff The people saying these things are off base. It is definitely possible to improve the strength of your muscles and therefore develop more vertical leap!
@MrGalactoseify For all of the pertinent information you need to purchase the Vertical Jump Handbook on our YT Channel page for $4.99. It' gives you all of the needed information and exercises for each day.
hey coach i'm 5'8 and i'm turning thirteen would these exercises help me dunk since i'm still growing taller at the same time say if i grew to about 6'0 as i mature?
@jumpinghoarse999 We have no possible way to know if you will be able to dunk. Our program would Probably would help you dunk! Most of the possibilities are on you. You must follow the program and wrok really hard. Most of our players who get back to us say they have improved 3-5" in the three month program.
@votix10 We have no idea how long it would take or if you even could do it. Using a good jump program is essential and then follow it to a tee and see what the results are. We cannot forecast this for you.
are you going to be releasing a tutorial for how to physically jump. I have been doing the training program for weeks and my vertical is increasing. However, I'm not sure how I should be jumping because I already have my basic foundation and I am ready to start jumping but how should I be jumping in the air. Is there going to be a tutorial ?
Hey Coach, I've got a question, I'm 15 years old and I'm around 6'4-6'5, now, I'm 209lbs and I play Center, I can from time to time touch the rim, but barely. Should I still follow the program?
@MrMKFAN If you are asking about our Vertical Jump Program the answer is yes. And follow it exactly as this program was put together to help you reach your goals. It is difficult, but nothing comes to us that is good without a ton of work!!!!
Hey coach, I followed each exercises well. I amazingly increased vertical few inches after a month. I can grab the rim now with my both hands. But, when I try to dunk I get a rim stuffed. I'm confused and discourage. pls help me
@FrenzyLine Be patient! You will get there and begin dunking the ball. There are some techniques that you will learn to go along with the vertical that will make the dunking easier.
@Jordan5583 we really feel that this program will help anyone who wants to put out the effort to develop their vertical. The key is to get the Vertical Jump Handbook as your guide. Find it on our Channel page.
I just don't get it I have been strength training my quads and trying to jump higher because im plenty tall...... I just can't seem to get any higher off the ground no matter how hard I try.. ..... any advice shot science?
A helpful and informative vid. Although I'm unsure on how to structure workouts with how to order the exercises. Like do you do 3 weeks of mobility, strength and stability before starting power exercises.
The guy showing how to lung doesn't show a great example of good form in either close of wide stance. He dosen't have his back straight and you can tell that a lot of the pressure that he is applying is being transfered to his knees. That is a quick way to screw your knees up. Lungs are a very dangerous exercise if not done properly.
I am a trainer, and you are giving a very good example not only how to activate the glutes and hams, but also the way they should be trained in the gym. I rarely see trainers teach this method of training in most of the gyms that I've been to. Also, the people you have showing the actually movement use very good form. I didn't hear the importance of form expressed, but it was definitely show. I do have one gripe though. I don't think that lunges should be done in the in close fashion. Great Vid!
@ryanchang10208 The football would probably work fine or use a tennis ball. It varies with each person based on how hard you work. We have found that most player who report to us that 3-6" seems to be the range. One player reported 10", but there is no way we can predict how much you will gain.
@bcb243 Surprisingly, our Vertical Jump Program is awesome when it comes to working on speed and acceleration. Check it out. YT Channel Vertical JUmp Handbook.

hey coach i'm 5'8 and i'm turning thirteen would these exercises help me dunk since i'm still growing taller at the same time say if i grew to about 6'0 as i mature?
jumpinghoarse999 1 month ago
@jumpinghoarse999 We have no possible way to know if you will be able to dunk. Our program would Probably would help you dunk! Most of the possibilities are on you. You must follow the program and wrok really hard. Most of our players who get back to us say they have improved 3-5" in the three month program.
ShotScience 1 month ago
hey coach was wondering how long would it approximately take for a 5,8 guy to dunk and how often will he have to work out and for how long
votix10 1 month ago
@votix10 We have no idea how long it would take or if you even could do it. Using a good jump program is essential and then follow it to a tee and see what the results are. We cannot forecast this for you.

@ShotScience
are you going to be releasing a tutorial for how to physically jump. I have been doing the training program for weeks and my vertical is increasing. However, I'm not sure how I should be jumping because I already have my basic foundation and I am ready to start jumping but how should I be jumping in the air. Is there going to be a tutorial ?
Jael1625 1 month ago
@Jael1625 Jael, there are several videos on our channel that are about the development of your vertical. They will answer many of your questions.
ShotScience 1 month ago
Thanks coach. I'm thinking about increasing the reps of the exercises to make it more harder. I'm not giving up. Thank you so much

Hey Coach, I've got a question, I'm 15 years old and I'm around 6'4-6'5, now, I'm 209lbs and I play Center, I can from time to time touch the rim, but barely. Should I still follow the program?
MrMKFAN 1 month ago
@MrMKFAN If you are asking about our Vertical Jump Program the answer is yes. And follow it exactly as this program was put together to help you reach your goals. It is difficult, but nothing comes to us that is good without a ton of work!!!!
ShotScience 1 month ago
Hey coach, I followed each exercises well. I amazingly increased vertical few inches after a month. I can grab the rim now with my both hands. But, when I try to dunk I get a rim stuffed. I'm confused and discourage. pls help me
FrenzyLine 2 months ago
@FrenzyLine Be patient! You will get there and begin dunking the ball. There are some techniques that you will learn to go along with the vertical that will make the dunking easier.

will jogging and calf raises help me jump higher?
CopEmRetros 2 months ago
@CopEmRetros Possibly a tiny bit!!!!!!
ShotScience 1 month ago
Yuu are right! No other jump training programs focus on a full foundation nor focus on activation. Theres activation then warm-ups then yuur workout.

JaPhA12 2 months ago in playlist Shot Science Basketball Videos
I am a trainer, and you are giving a very good example not only how to activate the glutes and hams, but also the way they should be trained in the gym. I rarely see trainers teach this method of training in most of the gyms that I've been to. Also, the people you have showing the actually movement use very good form. I didn't hear the importance of form expressed, but it was definitely show. I do have one gripe though. I don't think that lunges should be done in the in close fashion. Great Vid!

@JaPhA12 thanks! Always a different opinion to make us think! Thanks.

@ryanchang10208 The football would probably work fine or use a tennis ball. It varies with each person based on how hard you work. We have found that most player who report to us that 3-6" seems to be the range. One player reported 10", but there is no way we can predict how much you will gain.

I know it helps but I need something specially for speed. I'm probably going to buy the jump handbook but I need more speed.
bcb243 2 months ago
@bcb243 Speed and acceleration are direct result of added leg and abdominal strength. Check out Chase's videos for two videos on this topic.
ShotScience 2 months ago
Hey sorry for all of the questions but you guys are the only ones who seem to help! Anyways what can I do specifically for speed?
bcb243 2 months ago
@bcb243 Surprisingly, our Vertical Jump Program is awesome when it comes to working on speed and acceleration. Check it out. YT Channel Vertical JUmp Handbook.
