يارب ارحمنا يوم الاربعاء كسوف 1432/7/13الساعة 10:25مساء بتوقيت مكة المكرمة، ويتحرك بعد ذلك باتجاه الشمال الشرقي.

ويحدث الاقتران المحاق لشهر رجب عند الساعة 12:02 في منتصف الليل. ويصل الكسوف الجزئي ذروته في أقصى شمال روسيا عند الساعة 12:16 في منتصف الليل، وهذا يحدث بعد نحو ساعتين بعد بداية الكسوف، وينتهي عند الساعة 2:07 فجراً بتوقيت مكة المكرمة فوق المحيط الأطلسي.

When the main imam is around normally he leads the prayer. E.g. When Sheikh Sudais was here in London last summer he couldn't lead the prayers at the Masjid-ul-Haraam! That's what I think. I could be wrong. Wallahu Alam.

When both Sheikh Sudais and Sheikh Shuraim are in Haraam then the main imam will lead the prayer i.e. Sheikh Sudais. So you will see sheikh Shuraim behind the imam.

But when sheikh sudais is somewhere else(like when he came to London last summer) then sheikh Shuraim will be leading the prayer(if he is in Haraam!).

Brother @reeab that does not always happen, sometimes both imam Sudais and Shuraim are in the haram but another shaikh might be leading the prayer, sometimes the imam (in this case Sudais) can choose some other imam to lead.it can happen anyway,sometimes Ale-Shaikh leads in madinah but that does not mean he is the imam, or even sometimes in the Haram for Dhuhr prayer some other alim in the Jami'ah tul-Quraa may lead if there is no imam available.Have you been to Makkah to see this?

Salaamu Alaikum dear brother and sisters, can you tell me the reason why the imam did the Rukuh but not the sujood at 11.06 of this video? I haven't seen anything like this before....is this a special rule for the Eclipse prayer?

In school of thought of Imam Ahmed Bin Hanbal (Rahimahullah) may performs Salatul Khusoof as Imame Kaba did (They are Hanbalis Alhumdulillah), but as per Imam Abu Hanifa (Rahimahullah) Salatul Kusoof (Sun) and Salatul Khusoof (Moon) performing as same of normal Salah (I m Follower of him).

Anyway both ways are 100% permitted and narrated from our beloved Prophet Sallallahu alaihi wasallam.

Also you see 14:22 Imam perform one sajda and came back to Qayam, it is "Sajda Tilawat".

MashaAllah the eclipse prayer is very special. it has 2 rukoo instead of one without going into sujood.

there are some differences of opinion among the scholars but most say it's 2 units (rakats). click the links on the video description shaykha provides. they are very useful.
