Modern democracy doesn't work like it is supposed to. Democracy only works if the populace is given the necessary information required to make an informed decision. Instead we are fed misinformation, only the parties that can afford an expensive campaign are able to amass enough public attention to be voted in (exacerbating the economic disparities in society and the structures governing it), and in a lot of cases our elections are as corrupt as Afghanistan's. Who said anything about democracy?

My simple question is Whether the Americans in particular & the Western world generally, has ever lived in peace with the rest of the world ?

Are they at all able to live on their own merits, in peaceful coexistence with humanity & Mother Earth ?

Actually, my metaphorical question / issue concerned the concrete 2500 years of European history of persecutions, wars, destructions, devilry, Inquisitions, racism & slavery , colonialism, Zionism, hypocrisy & fascism, neo-colonialism, etc, etc !

There have been two governance / mentality in the history of mankind:

on the one hand the 'MAKIAVELIAN' (what we described), which based on the rule through Fear & Terror, Repression & Injustices, Persecutions & Destruction or to live as parasites on other's expense !

And on the other hand, the 'CYRUSIAN' which is the opposite, a positive spiral of Love, Respect, Fair Coexistence, who created peace and freedom for mankind in nearly a millennium !

I think that YouTube speaks for me more than my government does. At least this way I can express my own opinion, unlike voting where the parties I vote for don't even come close to winning.

So, for what it's worth, I want to apologize on behalf of all Canadians for not doing more to stop the corruption of our government and their foreign affairs. I am sorry that NATO troops are disorganized and end up killing a lot of civilians.
