That was pretty bad dude...practice it more before you upload a video. Firstly you need to play it clean, keep a steady rhythm, and not be so robotic, feel the music.
I've just been learning this song I don't tend to learn many by others, I would have to disagree with the best instrumental band of all time description. From what I've heard I'd give that particular accolade to Mogwai all day long.
I can tell you that that's not how it goes. If you watch a clip and listen you'll hear that they don't play that high, they play as low as you can, pretty much. If you can read cheat notes then try to find some and play after that
And one advice I can give you is that you should lift your right hand so it doesn't hit the strings.
@beamones Yeah I know my teacher made me learn a higher version. I already learned the original one but I'm trying to get a better camera. Thanks for the advice.
@marius994 But shouldn't you change place on the 16ths aswell? Cause it doesn't sound good when you play all the other notes that high and then play those as the original
@MissCasandra I always really like to play this song with my teacher, and I also played it last summer in a gig. I shall remake this cover by the way, I got an awful sound in this one.
By the way... have a look at the cover by Dave Turner onthis site. and see how he approaches it. (I do not know him), but his performance should give you a good guide
Everyone should play at least one instrument, no matter how badly... seriously though... A little more practice will help....and for Apache you need to come down an octave, I feel. Try not to record your own part so loud.. it would be much better if you did not drown out the background and end up with so much distortion. You would also probably find that you would not be so out of time, if you can hear the backing better yourself. Keep playing and enjoy it to the full. All the best .
