God is immutable, unchangeable, in this way: He never changes. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. But that does not mean that He has not granted man the freedom and responsibility to respond to His gospel, receive it with the help of the Holy Spirit, and be saved.
Calvinism offers an answer to God's open-ended, thought-provoking question. "You reprobated us of your sovereign will, THAT'S why they die." But the words of God do not really leave that possibility open, do they?
Ezekiel 33:11 "for why will ye die?" Why does He ask? If He has sovereignly elected them apart from any choice of theirs, He knows they will not die. If He has sovereignly "reprobated" them, He knows they can do nothing to not end up in hell. So, is He asking in sincerity or in pretense?
@Mcfirefly2 I would love to answer your questions, but it seems it would take more than a limited comment section to do it in. Do you have the ability to use Skype? If that is so, would you be willing to discuss these things on there?
(KJV) Romans 10:21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people. What is He waiting for, if He makes all the choices? Is He being insincere? (KJV) Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
@Mcfirefly2 "What is He waiting for, if He makes all the choices? " Where in that text, do you see, God waiting? Not there!
"Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;" Yep, He promised eternal life, and all the ones believing in the sacrificial death of Christ on the cross for them, have it!! Next!
@Mcfirefly2 Do you even know what "immutable" means? Please, dont you have anything better to do? Yes, God makes the decisions. He leaves the sinning to us. Isnt willing for anyone to be saved? Where do you get that?
(KJV) Ezekiel 33:11 Say unto them, [As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Praise be to our immutable Lord! Brother, your teachings are always a blessing. Thank you for glorifying our King and rightly dividing His sanctifying Word. God bless you, Kevin.

He doesn't sound "immutable" in the sense that He makes all the decisions and leaves nothing to you, or that He isn't willing for anyone to be saved.

Did God change ontologically when the Son of God was incarnated and added to Himself a human nature which He did not previously have?

God did not cease to be God when he became Christ, Christ is God in his Creation.
Before the foundation of the world the Lamb was slain, this was already an act God was going to accomplish in his creation before time began.
This is a mystery that deserves great adoration.
