It speaks volumes that when this film was released, not one person in the audience ever questioned the fact that this world contained corrupt cops, evil members of organised religions, manipulative and selfish politicians and uncontrolled inner-city crime.

That alone should say how well Frank Miller was able to capture modern-day society in his graphic novels.

@Slevinbg That's because they kept it more or less CANON - unlike, say, The Losers. I followed that series from start to finish, and was disappointed by the movie.

Only Sin City, 300 (Which had some minor deviations but in the main kept canon too) and the much maligned Superman Returns (IMO the REAL Superman 3) are in my DVD collection.

@RosemarieGothic I'm not sure if You are referring on Sucker Punch movie, but in my imagination the fight against dragon in that movie much resembles on the fight against Highdragon from DA:O and the way how Babydoll killed that dragon is exactly the same way how I killed Highdragon with my Rogue character, i.e I jumped in front and above of the dragon and stab my short sword in his head. It is a cutscene for sure, but it is a super similar with that movie :)

Who knows maybe they play Dragon Age. Yes, I know about the kill of the High Dragon, My rogue did it too with her dagger, my mage did it with a dagger, and my warrior with a sword and claymore. Have you played DA 2? It's amazing. They've already announced details for DA3 IT's supposed to be in Orlais if I remember correctly. I'm excited.

@ohlookitspudding there are 7 books (7 stories) and there are many different characters... In the 1st Sin City there were 3 stories : The hard goodbye (Marv& Goldie), The big fat kill(Dwight)and That yellow bastard (Hartigan & Nancy). However, Dwight's story (the big fat kill) is the last of the 3 stories of him (so they can show the characters again). Also Marv's story was not shown completely. So there could be 3 movies, there are many things to show us...
