If the double striker had trample any left over damage can be reassigned to the player as normal. So a 4/2 DS with Trample blocked by a 2/2 would do 6 damage to the player and 2 to the creature. If the 4/2 creature has no trample then the 2/2 would die due to 1st strike damage and the 4/2 would live and the left over 6 damage is lost and not needed as the target is no longer existing. A creature with Double Strike deals both first strike and normal combat damage. For instance, a 1/2 creature with double strike would defeat a 3/1 creature in combat and survive, due to destroying it with first strike damage. It would also destroy a 2/2 creature, though be destroyed itself because the opposing creature survived to deal its own damage.

in the double strike... if we attack and the oponent does block.. what hapens? for example if the creature has 2/2.. it will deal 4 directly to the life points??
