This just proves the original is not always better. This is too remixed and... I dunno. I just don't like it as much. The Japanese One Piece version is more lively and makes more sense in my opinion.
eurobeat is recorded by Italian artists singing in mostly English (sometimes Japanese) and sold in japan.
it was originally in English then covered by folder 5, they also covered "baby 1 baby 2" (also Lolita) into ready, which was used in a one piece short.
Folder 5 typically remixed and reworded many songs from the Super Eurobeat singer "Lolita". Believe is a remix and reword of her song "Dreamin' Of You".
Actually Lolitas version is the original version, but Folder5 made the own version which is Believe, if you listen i don't believe you ever hear them say Believe in the entire song, and the song is actually called Keep on Dreaming of you ^^
RAAAAAAGE! This is not an 'unused remake'! The song was first published in 29.03.2000 on the album Super Eurobeat 105. It was a fairly big ParaPara hit in those days. The Folder 5 version was released about four years later.
This is not a remake - this song existed before One Piece did. folder5 borrowed the sample and used it, like MCHammer did with "Super Freak" and "You Can't Touch This".
Folder 5 typically remixed and reworded many songs from the Super Eurobeat singer "Lolita". Believe is a remix and reword of her song "Dreamin' Of You".
Its not at all uncommon for j-pop and j-euro artists to cover eurobeat songs. Such as Hello Goodbye, Do You Wanna Dance, Night of Fire, Tora Tora Tora, and Seventies. And eurobeat is a very old genre. Its been around 2 decades, at least. But, yeah, this probobly came out before Folder5's version. If I'm wrong plz correct me.
Alright, in the above case, it's been on: Super Euro Best Super Euro Best Presents 70min 70 Songs Super Eurobeat 105 Super Eurobeat 108 Non-Stop Megamix Super Eurobeat 128 Super Eurobeat 130 The Global Heat 2002 Request Rush Super Eurobeat 140 Request Countdown 2003 Anniversary Non-Stop Mix Super Eurobeat 170 Super Anniversary Non-Stop Mix 2006 Super Eurobeat Presents - GTC Special 2001 Non-Stop Megamix Aerobeat Eurobeat 6 and ParaPara Paradise 5...
I'm glad we have our own opinions. I don't speak Japanese but I preferred the Japanese version because I look for meaning of where I first heard it, which was the 2nd Op of One Piece. This is why I have more Asian songs than English songs.
Yeah, overall, I like them both:) This is a good conversation because we aren't saying that either version stinks, we're just discussing about how the songs are unique in their own way:)

It's okay but the Japanese version, in my opinion, is better
YangLuigi 3 years ago
I'm not sure, I like them both the same.
Maybe this one better, actually, because it has better beats, and you can actually understand it without Subtitles (if you don't speak Japanese.)
darknovablast 3 years ago
I'm glad we have our own opinions. I don't speak Japanese but I preferred the Japanese version because I look for meaning of where I first heard it, which was the 2nd Op of One Piece. This is why I have more Asian songs than English songs.

I only like Japanese better because they sound better. :P
But the English version of this... just sounds cool. :P And I can actually understand it.
But I like them both equally, with that in mind. XD

Yeah, overall, I like them both:) This is a good conversation because we aren't saying that either version stinks, we're just discussing about how the songs are unique in their own way:)

Indeed, unlike alot of conversations on Youtube which usually consist of low-intelligence fans screaming their opinions;
XBOX RULES!
XBOX SUX!
NARUTO SUX!
If you were to ask "Have you even seen Naruto?!"
Many would reply "NO!!!" :P
