At the time though it was just a pet theory and I never actually thought that would be a part of the plot. I thought "well, it would make sense, but that's just too dark for this series. Still, what Sasuke never had was that outcast feeling. People loved him during school and such, which Naruto never had. I can see the point that people make about both Sasuke and Naruto. On one hand, Sasuke did get it worse when his whole clan was killed by Itachi. But still, the guy had a choice whether to go for revenge or stay and become a better ninja. A better ninja would refuse that temptation, no matter how great it was. Naruto does have some cheek to talk though. I'm sure of he was put in the same temptation as Sasuke he would have thought about it. He may have not made the same decision as Sasuke.

Naruto is probably the best character for me.

He can also be an emo if he wants to. He can have revenge if he wants to. He can be consumed in the darkness if he wants to. But he still never gave up in pursuing his dream. He's always smilinge even though he's hurt. He thinks of others more than himeself. I think he's a very insperational character.

Sasuke, too, is one of the best characters. His determination to kill his bro is really extravaganza. But yeah, he's kinda consumed in hatred.

For the fact. Sasuke and Sakura had absolutely no connection beyond teammate-like behaviour. Although I don't agree entirely with the SasuNaru fandom, SasuSaku is just as non-existent. Sasuke never shows interest in Sakura, beyond that pointless Thank You. Naruto got more of his attention than Sakura. If anything, Sasuke doesn't seem interested in any females in Naruto.
