  • Welcome to your life

    There's no turning back.....

  • Genial

  • Nobody makes music like them anymore...lyrical, poetic, melody-rich music that stays with you.

Sheer genius! In the tradition of great duos like Hall and Oates, Style Council, (heck..even) Everly Brothers... TFF is in the mix!

  • You are 100% correct SIR!

  • my decade my song my thoughts

  • There are some songs that just take me back to a different time & a different place. This is one of those songs. I really do like this song...

  • @RevrinJoe

i know what ya mean..... tc

  • Why are British bands so amazing?

  • Pop music today is no where close to as good as it was in the '80's. It's all about image now.... never mind finding good songwriters and singers. Heck, it's even "cool" to sing flat these days.

  • Open your eyes a bit and you'll see this is not the case at all...mainstream pop and hip hop is just terrible...but do a bit of searching and you'll find extremely talented artists

  • underground non mainstream hip-hop is awesome man :O

  • Yes, I believe in you for 20 years. The power of your words echoing in me. Petar from Serbia

  • epic.

  • I love how this was playing in Adrian Veidt's office in Watchmen.

    LOL

  • i like how the instrumental sounds!!! XD i luv this song ingeneral!!!!

  • best song of the 80s!

    and that says a lot!!!

  • GOD I WISH I COULDVE LIVED IN THE 80S

  • It wasn't all that great, frankly. The 70's had Disco and the 60's was totally ridiculous bullshit. However, those three decades were better than the black is white and up is down PC nonsense of today. At least, the sexes enjoyed their differences and there was some semblance of common sense. Also, we did not have a socialist in the White House back then. Even music is dead today.

  • Music is generally better when there are conservatives in power. Reagan was one of the worst presidents we ever had but the music was awesome.

  • he was one of the best presidents what are you talking about?

  • Friend, I don't know where you were, or if you were even alive, during the Reagan era, but Ronald Reagan was probably the best president we have had since Eisenhower, who did not upset anyone, ended the Korean War, and faced down the USSR.

The prosperity of the '90's was a direct result of Reagan's policies and the USSR fell because of Reagan's strong stance against them. You really need to read more and quit listening to the liberal bullshit that has given us that clown, obama.

  • It was there and couldnt agree with you more!

What we are seeing today is quite saddening.

I fear Americas day in the sun is done.

At least I had the good fortune to live the first half of my life in what once was the greatest nation on earth. Ive told my Son of a time when we lived in those Shining Cities upon the Hills.

Ronnie wouldnt be pleased to see what

weve allowed to happen to them.

    Hope and Change my Ass!

  • Earth to Halo101st. First off, Reagan was one of the most liked Presidents, he was not one of the best. He lowered income taxes (yea! from the wealthy) and then raised payroll taxes when supply side economics failed the first time (boo from the middle class).

He ramped up defense spending to an unprecedented % of GDP while the USSR kept their spending flat. So we certainly didn't scare them. It was "blue jeans" in the figurative sense that brought down the iron curtain.

  • Whine on, little liberal. You cannot rewrite history here. I was there and voted for him twice. Stop parroting the DNC mantra. My taxes did not go up, my income did as did the rest of the middle class due to the increase in employment and a period of unrestrained growth in the small business sector that lasted all the way through the 90's. Reagan took over from Jimmy Carter who almost broke us and destroyed our military. You have no idea what you are talking about, as is usual with liberals.

  • I'm 6' and my family came to this great land in 1630 and it seems you have a case of revisionism. Progressives don't have to whine, we have brains and can think. I too lived through that time and unless you were on mars your taxes did go up and while your income did, interest rates ate away that gain. Facts suck but even right wing-nuts have to embrace them sooner or later. I too voted for Reagan once, and that was too much. Ask Dick Cheney about gutting the military in the early 1980's.

  • Employment did grow but purchasing power didn't, and the middle class saw the beginning of a 20 year decline in living standards. The budget deficit, mainly military driven, skyrocketed, and the national debt more than doubled. How do you think that helped the middle class? Oh yeah, 13% mortgage rates. The bad part is, the dopes tried it two more times. Clinically, I think that would be classified as crazy. Try reading something other than comic books if you care about this country.

  • ... and I'm 6'.2", an ex-airborne officer and Vietnam veteran. So what has that got to do with anything?

"Facts suck?" Sporto, you are just an uneducated idiot and not worth bothering with. Go whine your liberal drivel elsewhere.

  • You're the one who called me little, sir. I applaud your service to our country but that doesn't give you the right to pound your chest, spew innacuracies, and mislead people. It's little minds like yours, and BS bullying, that attempt to cloud dialog about what really is going on with the fanatical right. And who's the one who sounds uneducated when you have nothing to back your radical drivel? This kind of whining is called an exchange of ideas. Remember, what you risked your life for?

  • Spacing out while driving, with this song playing while running over pedestrians without a care in the world.

  • His voice is pretty awesome XD

  • Great song!

  • essa musica é inesquecivel voce viaja................

  • amo de paixao essa musica e a cara de alguem que eu amei como um louco na vida !!! teamo minha vida

    Best song ever

  • This song is forever engraved in my brain as the song that was played at my hiigh school graduation, class of 88 . such a biitter sweet memory!! Great song.

  • How does likeing a queer band make you queer again? Maybe I missed something... I didn't know likeing a song meant you were gay... that was very sexist...

Please no human hating. The humans on Youtube might get offended and leave a grenade in your pants.

  • well, I dont know about the offended part, but i certainly dont know about the grenade in your pants part.

  • Kick ass video.

    Wonderfully classic song.

  • i herd it to and u can hear then talkin from 12 seconds ro like 15

  • haha this game is awesome. on the first one I was the best person at Soak up the song (don't know if I got beaten since, did my score this spring or something like that)

  • theese guys look a little queer lol but i love them and there music

  • what do you mean a little queer?it was the eighties, you know!

  • QUEER!!!!

Your obviously unfamiliar with 80's campness xD

  • not really at all dumb fuck, its different era.

  • How did I write I love them? I think they are an ok band with some good songs. Your a fucking dumb cunt. Stick the thumb up your ass, you obviously like the band aswel if you are watching the video, fucking donkey.

  • You're so fuckin' dumb, coolguyjames99.

  • How exactly? Read the conversation.

  • How does liking a band that "looks queer" make you queer? You're fucking STUPID. I guess this is YouTube, so I shouldn't expect much at this point, but fuck, a good portion of you morons on here need to go back to fucking school and learn how to spell and come up with logical arguments. Christ.

  • hahaha read wat he wrote dumb bich he wrote they look queer but he still loves the band and i graduated from college u dumb fuk i spell how i want to!! dskfjsadlkfjsdlkfjas i spell how i want to fukin kunt

  • Yeah, I read what he wrote. Just because they band looks "queer" and he still loves their music and them as musicians, that doesn't make him queer. I don't know how you graduated from college with spelling and grammar like that and with your illogical fucking stupidity.

  • he doesnt get it, he's one of those 'fools' you hear about. you know, never reason with a fool?!?

  • like i said before i spell how i want dumb azz dsfknsdakfdsjkhfdsklahsdlkfdslkfdklsjhfksdaljnfdsalkjfhdansf

  • lol, okay. You have fun looking like the rest of the lowlife, uneducated jackasses on YouTube.

  • hahaha unedicated?? ok sure do ur self a favor unpluge ur computer and choke ur self with the cord

  • Yeah, okay, I'll get right on that, then.

You can't even spell uneducated or unplug! Look at yourself, dude! Get a fucking clue, Jesus Christ. I love arguing with people like you because you're too stupid to come up with a logical argument and even if you could, it wouldn't be understandable because you couldn't spell it.

  • no. its a fool. stop arguing. doesnt understand. do yourself a favour. never reason with a fool is the old saying. theres a reason for it. if you do, you're a more stupid than him. Stop. Love

  • well put :) keep shinning

    xoxo

  • lmao

  • Dude shut the fuck up

  • I have to watch commercials on TV. I come to You Tube to watch a video & have to sit through a d@*# commercial before it starts. Give me a break.

  • Just refresh the page and the video will start immediately

  • jesus sooo much memories i love this song reminds me of a different time love 80's music even though i was born in 1990 but reminds me of my ex...... love never leaves a broken heart! xxx

  • OMG I did the same shit when I was younger lol. Fucking love this song.

  • ha! know i don't feel so alone.

  • one of the best songs of the 80's

  • the beat really reminds me of the way you make me feel by michael jackson

  • This has to be one of the most underrated songs of all time, but one of the best of all time. How can anyone not love it?

  • @CWiggles1989

yeah it's incredible. to me this is the song that defines the 80's.

  • this makes me depressed but its a great song lol

  • these music videos were so much fun to watch.

the best time to see them was to tune in to MTV after midnight, there were hardly any commericals then.

the early ones were pretty simple, later on they spent more money. take a look at Duran Duran, Hungry like a wolf, it was filmed on location in India.

  • Yeah. Like Hall & Oates' Dreams music video.

Haha. Awesome technology at work there.

  • muy buena cancion una de las que mas me gusta de los 80's

  • i think this is a great songs of all time.

  • EPIC

  • I personally just listen to the music, I don't care about the video clips!!

  • get it right, DM dont rule the world....the 80s rocked where music was concerned....not like the crap we get these days

  • 80's songs were quite good but y were dere videos so bad

  • @Wantgamegetmilkful because it was the 80's. Video production has increased enormously in the past 20 years.

  • Yh ovi but that is due to money and growing pressure on artists to produce good videos. But y were good bands (like this one) not backed with dosh or y did they not think to produce a better video?? Nd this video is not so bad but other 80's Videos were incredibly bad.

  • this is they only song i like of all thir albums.

  • wow!

  • Depeche rules the world , xD!

  • Skip775: That's definitely Palm Springs. Look at the dinosaurs at 2:04. I've driven that way many times.

  • God i hate universalmusicgroup's vids they always tune the volume down to 30% for all their vids

  • That looks like Palm Springs?

  • I love this song its one of my favourites!

  • my favorite song evah omg because of this song i subscribed

  • I always remember this as the theme song to Dennis Miller Live. LOL

  • i love this song its incredible, and it's true: nowdays everybody wants to rule the world,

  • Dane Vogel has good taste in music.

  • roland had to ask neil taylor who is now robbie williams guitarist do do the guitar riff at the end of this song & he made a small mistake but it was kept in the mix

  • There was a time when I wished that synthesizers and chromatic drums would go away forever. And surprisingly, they pretty much have - but now I a l m o s t miss them.

  • You are incorrect. They are used more now than they were back then. It's called electronic music. And it sounds way better now than it did in the days of cheese.
