Wow this is a blast from the past! I lived in Baumholder as a child (1984 to approx. 1986). Being a military brat I was blessed to see places in Alabama (RIP Fort McClellan), Fort Sam Houston (TX.) and Ft Leonard Wood (MO.). I still remember that first aid kit under the seat of the Audi (lol). Good times.
I have some footage like this from Wetzel housing all the way to Kusel castle. It's all on VHS...1993!...I'll have to convert it someday. Wild to see how things have changes. Subtle but changed.
Man , that was good to re-visit Baumholder through your camera, my dad was in 2/68 Armor, i went to the high school there from 1980 to 83 if you get a chance could you get some shots of the high school and the housing area. i lived 2 buildings down from the high school on the right 8807 3-F , i remember the commessary, PX and the wagon wheel, thanks a lot , keep it up
