@02TLtypes don't say that. it's immature. my mom owned a charger r/t and now an acura tl. It's less noisy and better on fuel, interior qualities are about the same. these cars aren't for racing but the charger r/t is faster. LOVE BOTH! no need for hate.

Best Generation Acura TL made...own an 05 Acura TL RRP/Parch. Its in excellent shape...materials are not let down in quality, trust me there are worst cars that have hard/ cheapy plastics. The styling hit the ball park on this generation. I do not have not one single problem with squeaks or noises. Sound system is good, may need a bit more umf. to it

Acura Tl is beautiful, but it has poor quality. There are many problems with the car; there are alot of complaints on the Acura product for instant the daskboard.

Please do some research before buying any of the acura products. I has an Acura TL and it gave me so much problems. The costs of fixing it aren't cheap, because it is a luxury car. Be cautious of what you will buy!

2004-2008 have the same hp just different measuring in rating. Skip 2004 and 2005 because they tend to have transmision and rattle problem. This is what i know from research on acurazine.

I test drove one yesterday and love everthing about it. Love the interior, sterring wheel and the powerful engine. I'm saving my money.

@ferrari4sale, Buy the BMW or Lexus. I have a 2005 Acura TL, Blue on Grey which was bought as a a lease return with 31,000 miles on the odo. The car was immaculate and had obviously been well pampered. I've had it for two years now and it's only required oil changes at 3,000 mile intervals. It's very reliable. It's downside is: very uncomfortable seats, jerky ride, quality of interior components and fit and a lousy radio. The only saving grace is it's engine and roadholding skills.

@ferrari4sale, I rented a 2010 TL and drove it for three days hoping they may have solved the 2005 deficiencies. I found that same low quality interior, vague steering, and uncomfortable ride. I'm dissapointed. Next time I'll try something a little more upscale.

Depends on what you want. TL or TL type S and also the miles on it and what the dealer or owner wants to sell and how much you want to negotiate to pay for it. Many factors and something we can't answer except you.

I brought a theft recovery salvage 06 TL w/ 47k for 7G at an auction. The seats, steering wheel, frontal airbags, gear shift, navi and radio were all stolen but the car driver and runs perfect. At another auction I brought another 06 tl w/ 147k and extensive body damages due to roll over for 4G. I stripped out the interior and put it in the other TL. I sold that stripped Tl for 2G. So now I have a 06 TL for w/ 47k for 9G. BEST DEAL EVER!!!

o my friend there are lots of things about cars and how dealers make money that you certainly wouldn't believe... my advice is never buy a car from dealers... instead look for a salvage car and fix it up... you will save thousands/ make thousands by selling it

@shootnmove Not if he wants to keep it for a long time (like 10-12 years). it should serve him well, and then he could sell it for 4G which in 10 years time knowing Acura and Honda's reputation of resale value. The maximum he will lose would be around 5G and that is nothing over a 10 year period. Too bad many people think leasing a brand new car every couple of years is smart.

I have a 2004 TL thats going to have its dash replaced. Its cracking in four different places, a common plague with this car. The dealer says its a manufactures defect and Acura is embarassed about it, thats why they have not posted anything about it. Costing me $1500 bucks. Acura is a good car...but its nothing more than a gussyed up Honda.

This question is for anyone... A friend of mine has a 2002 TL Type-S & another friend has a 2004 TL. Both auto's. Does anyone know why the 2002 is faster? They have raced many times & the 02' always walks the 04'. The 04' has 270 HP vs the 02's 260 HP. I would think the 04' would be faster right? Both are bone stock by the way. Thanks

there's not much difference in power or weight but the type-s versions are tuned more aggressively.. it's not just a badge.

Oh ok, thanks... I looked into this a little bit yesterday. The 04' has 10 more hp & 6 more lbft of torque but, the 02' hits it's torque peak at 3500 rpm vs the 04's 5000 rpm. Maybe that had something to do with it also? Not sure though. Thanks again.

Best car Honda built in my opinion. Distinctive styling, beautifully wraught interior, good ride with tight handling, excellent quality, just the whole package.

no the '06 has 258 hp, the '04 and '05 has 270 hp, '06 Engine was rerated at 258 hp (old was 270 hp) due to new, stricter engine rating system - the engine was almost identical to the '04 and '05 engines with less hp

I HIGHLY recommend an Acura TL. You wont regret it. Haha it's seriously a really great car. It's fun and sexy all in one package. The Toyota Solara shouldnt be compared. It's like apples and oranges. The Solara is nice as well. Though I dont know much about the features. The TL gives everything you need in one great package. If you put a race between the TL and the Solara, TL would win hands down. But thats not the main objective always. I recommend looking up reviews on both cars. Both nice.

well for the looks and the power and the style your looking at the TL hands down, It's faster better looks there is more stuff you can do to it than the Solara if your willing too, the Solara is for a comfy relaxing style of riding I know it's a convertable but it's not as good as TL period. Your better of with the TL dude trust me on that one + if your willing your car to sound good it's almost as G35 only deeper sound like it's supercharge lol so yeah the TL all the way.

well it all depends on what you are looking for in your desired vehicle. Solara is great, all bells and whistles available, but the only drawback is it only comes as a coupe, it would have been nice if it came as a sedan. As far as TL is concerned, in my opinion it is much better designed and much more to offer if compared to Solara. The only issue with TL is its stiff suspension. Test drive both of them and determine which one you like better.
