@v19d What I thought was odd was that when the USA landed on the moon, the astronauts left a placard on the moon with Nixon's name and nothing with JFK's name and it was Kennedy's idea. Probably not their "doing". They just placed what they were given to place.

This is so sad either way ...both what really happened and what if....i wasn't even born when in 63 but being born in 70 i grew up VERY aware of this tragic event and even as a kid i always felt very sad watching documentries about both JFK and Bobby....even today it's very difficult to watch movies about the Kennedys when gets to the part about Dallas Nov 22 the whole 60's (JFK , MLK, RFK ) was crippling decade from which America has yet to truly recover

This is a great little what if. I love how they kill Ruby instead of Ruby killing Oswald. Cool stuff! Is this a short film or a piece of it (I assume a short film).

An interesting "what if" or "what might have been" scenario. I thought the June 1964 scene between Kennedy and LBJ to be particularly enlightening. JFK, now having the gift of knowing what's ahead in Vietnam, makes a moral decision to pull the plug. Johnson has the insight of the military industrial complex. Kennedy ends the meeting skillfully by telling Lyndon that we'll give the SOB's what they want by a joint Soviet-American space project. Nothing like enlightened self-interest.

interestingly enough, while there have been plenty of other "alternate history" storylines in TV shows and movies where JFK's assassination is prevented via time travel, Timequest(this movie) is the only production where the aborted killing is NOT eventually "righted", i.e. the intefering character(s) don't ever go back yet again and see to it that the events of 11/22/63 leave John F. Kennedy dead.

@admjg8 that corrects timequest is really a other sort of alternate movie about the jfk assassination. i remember that are two other simliar timetravel movies exist too , the first is "Lee Harvey Oswald" from Quantum Leap (1992) and the second is Running against Time from (1990).

I have this movie, and for those who were asking, it IS feature length- very original concept and nearly flawless execuction.......in this montage I noticed that you silenced the audio at 2:31-2:33 where Bobby says "Fuck you, sir" to Oswald. :-)

Gary Oldman came close. I don't know if you remember but there was a movie about Oswald that came out back in the 70's that gave a alternate history, "if Oswald had lived" scenerio. The guy playing him in that movie looked like a dead ringer.

I just rented this movie from Netflix and WHAT A GEM! Great Sci Fi movie with JFK. There's A LOT more than the great scenes that TitusFlavius posted. Can't believe this movie is so unknown regarding JFK movies. I don't know who the actor playing JFK is, but he was excellent. Probably the best job of acting as JFK.

Many people in the military indutrial complex and government thought he was weak because he removed missles from Turkey in exchange for the Russians removing missles from Cuba; there is a word for that; its called diplomacy.
