It's a nice rifle. Looks bulky but great functionality, Modularity, and its around 6.6lbs unloaded suppossedly. Definitely something other companies should be dissecting.

This gun is the archetypical example of the case of "yeah, but...".
If we look at the features of the gun, it probably outperforms both the ACR and the SCAR. It sports a bunch of great stuff, basically all of the pros of the abovementioned guns and even a bit more, but it looks so darn fu!%ing ugly and bulky (and it really is, weighing more than either of the other new gen guns), I couldn't ever like it. A gun is not a Versacce shoe, alright, but this ugliness is a bit too much in my opinion.
Ho letto nei commenti alcune cose giuste e altre minchiate astronomiche!!! L'AK si inceppa!?!?! In che mondo!!! I pregi dell'AK sono: Potenza, affidabilità, utilizzo molto intuitivo. I difetti sono: scarsa precisione, peso eccessivo, non modulare (almeno che non si usino attrezzi appositi)..concordo con chi dice che è ormai obsoleto. Ormai non è più molto efficace. Sicuramente è stato molto sopravalutato negli anni. Per l'ARX-160, spero di vederlo per il softair!!!!

@SuperNos12 Tutte le armi hanno la possibilità di incepparsi,persino nelle condizioni più blande,e l'ak non fa eccezione.Solo che è molto meno probabile che succeda ad un ak.Sto parlando di condizioni normali,senza fango,neve,sabbia e altri problemi.E rarissimo che succeda,ma può succedere,ed è successo,anche agli ak.Sull'efficacia,beh,la maggior parte degli scontri odierni avviene sotto i 150m di distanza,nei quali l'ak è abbastanza preciso,quindi non stupisce che molti eserciti lo usino ancora

@armandsudi Ma che stai dicendo??? Questa che vedi nel filmato non è quella dedicata alle FS. E' solo la versione base. Quella dedicata alle FS si chiama ARX 160 A2 ed è stata sviluppata direttamente dall'incursori del 9° Col Moschin (Le forze speciali del nostro esercito).P.S.:A detta di tutti gli esperti (anche americani), questo è uno dei migliori fucili d'assalto del mondo. Perciò Informiamoci prima di affossare tutto quello che è italiano...
no no non sto sminuendo... l'ak utilizza la meccanica dell'stg talvolta modificandola con soluzioni anche peggiori, leggi le schede dei due fucili e se hai possibilità dagli una occhiata smontati.

@ZZimster yes its an spanish magazine called "ARMAS", they wrOte a small article regarding some complains about the early model of the weapon (back then the weapon was in developement stage) but thats was in 2006, I dont know if they made further modification and improvement, but i hope so..., any way i can give you the number and the page if you want.
@curseofa5r5a I would assume that there have been some changes to the rifle sense 2006 I did not even know this rifle existed until this year from all the talk from Shot Show 11. However I don't know of any rifle that does well in the sand. But man this carbine is tight!!!! I want one.
@ZZimster well ill check out the magazine to confirm the year, but im almost sure that its form 2006, and yes sand is a serius truble for any rifle, even the russians reported problems with their trustable weapons in afganistan due to that little thing, and about the rifle, well what can i say it has pretty ergononics, good accuracy and good stability during full auto (and is italian) so what more could you ask for.

I would dare say that this is THE BEST assault rifle in the world. It's everything the SCAR and ACR were supposed to be, but actually lightweight with fully ambi controls and a true quick change barrel. Beretta better get these onto the US consumer market ASAP!!!!!!
These are not even avalible yet here in the US. I saw some nice features and though it might be a good rifle, but now that I see it in action, it is an awsome rifle. I will have to add one to the arsonal.
What was the barrel sizes & why does it need another barrel to use a can. I have another ? how was the shooting being done at the 100m ? Was it on a bench with a scope or off hand with iron sights. How much does a 2nd barrel cost to use a can.....Seem's to shoot fairly good for such a thin barrel...Thanks for your info. yl
@ylism the barrel is accually a mid profile thickness barrel lol an its an MG barrel not just a simple rifle barrel u cant really tell from the vid but ive seen it on another vid from Shot Show 2011 and its excelent!! and the extra barrel is for the quick change from non supressed to supressed which is much faster than simply screwing the suppressor onto the threads.
@gunman3006m What would a barrel cost just to use a suppressor on it. Do you happen to know. I would say it's not that cheep to buy. I think a gas regulator world be better. First off there is the less parts to carry & less weight that could go into ammo. I am a very practical person to me less is better. It may work great for others that use a FA carbine. I like all the rifle that can change out there barrels & caliber in a fast order. Even just for hunting different game types. Best, yl
@ylism well i dont know exact price because the guy at the booth at Shot Show said that he couldnt devulge a price yet but he did ball park it at well under $2000 for the entire rifle so i would think that a barrel would be round say $150-$300? but yea i think the changeable barrel idea is mainly for say LE units that need to change quickly for say swat teams. but yea less is more but its jus quicker is all and he said that the rifle is a little under 6.5 pounds overall with empty mag.
I see people jump on the band wagon when they see something new and dis all the other rifles. It might be better then the SCAR or ACR but don't be bad mouthing them just because there's a new kid on the block. The ACR and SCAR are still great rifles. Nice vid and its on my wish list.

@silenciouskiller il kalashnikov(in ordinanza del esercito) sta perdendo efficacita in guerra..vista la sua scarsa precisione e il troppo peso...la potenza non e tutto quando sei in guerra, invece la beretta arx 160 ha il peso ridotto ed e precisa,per adesso quest'arma in albania viene usata per le forze speciali che sono in iraq affianco delle forze italiane e u.s.a,io penso che il kalashnikov verra sotituito al piu presto...visto che la n.a.t.o sta rifornendo l'albania di armi moderne..
@91Skulboy va beh certo... non sono però armi da mettere a confronto: il kalashnikov è un'arma ormai obsoleta(penso degli anni 60?) mentre l'arx 160 è quanto di + moderno e tecnologico ci possa essere

@silenciouskiller l'ak47 è l'evoluzione dell' stg44 usato dai nazisti durante la seconda guerra mondiale, il primo prototipo di ak viene creato nel 1946, però quel prototipo presentava molti problemi, quindi passarono un anno a studiare soluzioni migliori, così un anno dopo nacque l'ak47. il fucile era stato costruito in base al calibro, perchè i russi stavano cercando di creare un'arma migliore del simonov sks e che utilizzasse il 7.62x39 russo.

OMG!!! I never tought I will be excited about a Berettta rifle, you know what I am pumped the rifle looks good on early look of it only thing we need for more field trials and see what comes out but so far looks good.
Now this is what the ACR was trying to achieve. Well for what I see so far, it’s an amazingly accurate rifle, looks like the ergonomics’ have been well thought out through the design process. I love the quick changeable barrel as well as the modularity the rifle offers. Not to mention it looks smoke-in. Awesome job Beretta “I soooo want one”!!!!
I've handled the SCAR and the ACR and I'm not impressed much by either. I would rather have a Noveske AR15 over either of them. However, THIS rifle looks very promising. Way to go Beretta!

@ipernisper Guarda il lato positivo, l'XM8 è leggero e pratico, questo dovrebbe essere migliore (dovrebbe). Ma noi continuiamo a fidarci del vecchio AR70/90 affidabile, potente e preciso.
@Mortales0092 Sinceramente non sono tanto convinto nemeno del 70/90... diciamoci la verità, stiamo messi bene solo a pistole e fucili idraulici.
Come altro armamento non abbiamo nulla (basti pensare che come armi di reparto usiamo ancora MG42 o le FNminimi e credo che siamo ormai l'unico esercito regolare a non avere nemmeno una mitragliatrice a canne rotanti di propria fabbricazione)
@ipernisper Tiene presente che la MG42 è la madre delle mitragliatrici, l'unica che supera il suo rateo di fuoco è la M134 vulcan mentre la minimi dato il calibro non la chiamerei mitragliatrice, o la PKM e altre non hanno un rateo di fuoco del genere. In quanto a pistole siamo migliori al mondo ed anche con i fucili a pompa idraulici ecc..
Ricorda però che il vantaggio sta nella precisione, se spari 10000 colpi al minuto e non uccidi nessuno, a cosa serve alla fine?
Addirittura l'esercito statunitense usa le nostre armi (m9 e spas), ma credo che l'AA12 non abbia più rivali ormai.
E sinceramente sarei più tranquillo a portarmi una 45. che un 9mm in combattimento (e non sono l'unico a pensarla così, visto che la colt 1911 è in servizio da 99 anni)
Ma ad inventiva e fondi bellici siamo molto scarsi (e l'ARX160 ne è la prova)
Molti eserciti hanno migliorato quello che avevano già, noi abbiamo copiato gli altri.
@ipernisper Se studiamo la storia molte armi risalgono al vietnam e dopo. Infatti molte armi sono la versione migliorata di roba vecchia. Cmq se devo usare proprio una pistola affidabile mi do ai revolver, calibro 45 e non si inceppa mai, riguardo all'AA12 non è che mi fido molto, preferisco lo Spas12, vecchio e leggendario (anche se vecchio)
Oggi è difficile inventare qualcosa di nuovo e molte armi fighe le hanno gli israeliani.
@Mortales0092 no scusate, io personalmente non riesco a concepire gli elogi fatti a certi tipi di armi da fuoco. l'XM8 o anche questo qui o lo SCAR o altri fatti di polimeri e basati secondo me solo sull'estetica. Noi continuiamo a rifornirci o con armi italiane o (mostrando ignoranza) statunitensi e penso sia una cazzata tremenda. da come la vedo io la superiorità assoluta per i fucili d'assalto l'hanno i russi. dal leggendario AK al nuovo AN e AEK. per non parlare del AS VAL o del Vintorez.

Questo nuovo nostro ARX160 bisogna dire com'è, si inceppa troppe volte? si surriscalda in fretta? quanto dura?
Tanto le pallottole sono quelle e fanno sempre male, quindi buono o no, mi basta che duri, che sia leggero e che faccia danni.

la beretta ha studiato (e sta studiando tuttora) molto per rendere l'arx affidabile come l'ar ma leggero come un m16a4

@kitemu16 l'AK è tanto leggendario quanto lo Spas12, per quanto indistruttibile (spara anche se pieno di fango) ha un rinculo della madonna che veramente non si tiene, non guardare i film od i videogame, il forte rinculo poi lo domini quando ci ha preso la mano, ma alla fine spari sempre a colpo singolo e non ha una gittata così lunga.
@Mortales0092 per esperienza personale 0. x quanto riguarda i giochi ho un portatile e dal 2003 in poi non mi parte nulla, io parlavo sulle statistiche sulle prove a fuoco, ovvio che qualsiasi fucile deve essere utilizzato da mani esperte, un soldato che usa un ar70 la prima volta avrà fatto delle cazzate immani ma poi ti addestrano apposta su quello. a me sembra che ci sia un blocco totale su un apertura alle armi di fabbricazione russa, nonostante il 7.62 è una palla pesante con uno s.power
@Mortales0092 notevole allora dico non è meglio un arma che "faccia il suo dovere". ora poi vabbè la stanno sostituendo l'abakan monta il 5.45 che forse (non sò) è più leggero dello standard nato, ma ha una funzione che fà un burst di soli 2 colpi a 1800 colpi/minuto in modo da avere 2 proiettili che colpiscono il bersaglio in simultanea permettendo la penetrazione del giubbino. se poi vedi com'è fatto vedi anche le soluzioni che hanno trovato x eliminare il rinculo eccessivo

I wonder how it'll stand up compared to the M4 family of rifles. The SCAR actually is an improvement, but not by enough to justify the cost over the M4. Still, it's nice to have options.
La cosa più importante non è il fucile in sé ( sappiamo già che è un ottima arma come il 70/90 ) ma la tecnologia con cui è legato, molto sofisticata come tutti i fucili ed accessori di 4°gen. infatti legato sia con l'elmetto che con il sistema di puntamento che nel seguente caso è SELEX GALILEO sicuramente costosissimo.
Speriamo che ai soldati venga dato l'intero pacchetto, almeno a ( tutti ) quelli che sono in missione se no il solo fucile va anche bene ma non è un soldato futuro ....

francamente, sono tiratore e collezzionista, e tra l'altro ho 4 fucili d'assalto automatici (SiG550, M-4, M16A4, AK-47) e non discuto la precisione del Beretta.. Però un tale gruppo sparando a raffica, da questa posizione mi sembra una cosa irrealizzabile. Ho visto tiratori eccezionali al opera, ma cosi , mai.
@valeriobert Niente di strano. Sono in Svizzera. Qui le armi automatiche (tranne il nostro SiG550 d'ordinanza) sono normalmente prohibite, e concesse a collezzionisti tramite autorizazione eccezionale, che costa 150chf (a confronto dei 50chf per une permesso d'acquisto di un arma semi-automatica).

great gun. it can compare with the bushmaster acr. it fires the 5.56x45mm rounds. its barrels are 302 and 406 mm long

@ZZimster yes its an spanish magazine called "ARMAS", they wrOte a small article regarding some complains about the early model of the weapon (back then the weapon was in developement stage) but thats was in 2006, I dont know if they made further modification and improvement, but i hope so..., any way i can give you the number and the page if you want.

@curseofa5r5a I would assume that there have been some changes to the rifle sense 2006 I did not even know this rifle existed until this year from all the talk from Shot Show 11. However I don't know of any rifle that does well in the sand. But man this carbine is tight!!!! I want one.

@ZZimster well ill check out the magazine to confirm the year, but im almost sure that its form 2006, and yes sand is a serius truble for any rifle, even the russians reported problems with their trustable weapons in afganistan due to that little thing, and about the rifle, well what can i say it has pretty ergononics, good accuracy and good stability during full auto (and is italian) so what more could you ask for.

I would dare say that this is THE BEST assault rifle in the world. It's everything the SCAR and ACR were supposed to be, but actually lightweight with fully ambi controls and a true quick change barrel. Beretta better get these onto the US consumer market ASAP!!!!!!

What was the barrel sizes & why does it need another barrel to use a can. I have another ? how was the shooting being done at the 100m ? Was it on a bench with a scope or off hand with iron sights. How much does a 2nd barrel cost to use a can.....Seem's to shoot fairly good for such a thin barrel...Thanks for your info. yl

@ylism the barrel is accually a mid profile thickness barrel lol an its an MG barrel not just a simple rifle barrel u cant really tell from the vid but ive seen it on another vid from Shot Show 2011 and its excelent!! and the extra barrel is for the quick change from non supressed to supressed which is much faster than simply screwing the suppressor onto the threads.

@gunman3006m What would a barrel cost just to use a suppressor on it. Do you happen to know. I would say it's not that cheep to buy. I think a gas regulator world be better. First off there is the less parts to carry & less weight that could go into ammo. I am a very practical person to me less is better. It may work great for others that use a FA carbine. I like all the rifle that can change out there barrels & caliber in a fast order. Even just for hunting different game types. Best, yl

@ylism well i dont know exact price because the guy at the booth at Shot Show said that he couldnt devulge a price yet but he did ball park it at well under $2000 for the entire rifle so i would think that a barrel would be round say $150-$300? but yea i think the changeable barrel idea is mainly for say LE units that need to change quickly for say swat teams. but yea less is more but its jus quicker is all and he said that the rifle is a little under 6.5 pounds overall with empty mag.

I see people jump on the band wagon when they see something new and dis all the other rifles. It might be better then the SCAR or ACR but don't be bad mouthing them just because there's a new kid on the block. The ACR and SCAR are still great rifles. Nice vid and its on my wish list.

@silenciouskiller il kalashnikov(in ordinanza del esercito) sta perdendo efficacita in guerra..vista la sua scarsa precisione e il troppo peso...la potenza non e tutto quando sei in guerra, invece la beretta arx 160 ha il peso ridotto ed e precisa,per adesso quest'arma in albania viene usata per le forze speciali che sono in iraq affianco delle forze italiane e u.s.a,io penso che il kalashnikov verra sotituito al piu presto...visto che la n.a.t.o sta rifornendo l'albania di armi moderne..

@silenciouskiller l'ak47 è l'evoluzione dell' stg44 usato dai nazisti durante la seconda guerra mondiale, il primo prototipo di ak viene creato nel 1946, però quel prototipo presentava molti problemi, quindi passarono un anno a studiare soluzioni migliori, così un anno dopo nacque l'ak47. il fucile era stato costruito in base al calibro, perchè i russi stavano cercando di creare un'arma migliore del simonov sks e che utilizzasse il 7.62x39 russo.

Now this is what the ACR was trying to achieve. Well for what I see so far, it’s an amazingly accurate rifle, looks like the ergonomics’ have been well thought out through the design process. I love the quick changeable barrel as well as the modularity the rifle offers. Not to mention it looks smoke-in. Awesome job Beretta “I soooo want one”!!!!

I've handled the SCAR and the ACR and I'm not impressed much by either. I would rather have a Noveske AR15 over either of them. However, THIS rifle looks very promising. Way to go Beretta!

Come altro armamento non abbiamo nulla (basti pensare che come armi di reparto usiamo ancora MG42 o le FNminimi e credo che siamo ormai l'unico esercito regolare a non avere nemmeno una mitragliatrice a canne rotanti di propria fabbricazione)

@ipernisper Tiene presente che la MG42 è la madre delle mitragliatrici, l'unica che supera il suo rateo di fuoco è la M134 vulcan mentre la minimi dato il calibro non la chiamerei mitragliatrice, o la PKM e altre non hanno un rateo di fuoco del genere. In quanto a pistole siamo migliori al mondo ed anche con i fucili a pompa idraulici ecc..
Ricorda però che il vantaggio sta nella precisione, se spari 10000 colpi al minuto e non uccidi nessuno, a cosa serve alla fine?

Addirittura l'esercito statunitense usa le nostre armi (m9 e spas), ma credo che l'AA12 non abbia più rivali ormai.
E sinceramente sarei più tranquillo a portarmi una 45. che un 9mm in combattimento (e non sono l'unico a pensarla così, visto che la colt 1911 è in servizio da 99 anni)
Ma ad inventiva e fondi bellici siamo molto scarsi (e l'ARX160 ne è la prova)
Molti eserciti hanno migliorato quello che avevano già, noi abbiamo copiato gli altri.

@ipernisper Se studiamo la storia molte armi risalgono al vietnam e dopo. Infatti molte armi sono la versione migliorata di roba vecchia. Cmq se devo usare proprio una pistola affidabile mi do ai revolver, calibro 45 e non si inceppa mai, riguardo all'AA12 non è che mi fido molto, preferisco lo Spas12, vecchio e leggendario (anche se vecchio)
Oggi è difficile inventare qualcosa di nuovo e molte armi fighe le hanno gli israeliani.

Questo nuovo nostro ARX160 bisogna dire com'è, si inceppa troppe volte? si surriscalda in fretta? quanto dura?
Tanto le pallottole sono quelle e fanno sempre male, quindi buono o no, mi basta che duri, che sia leggero e che faccia danni.

@kitemu16 l'AK è tanto leggendario quanto lo Spas12, per quanto indistruttibile (spara anche se pieno di fango) ha un rinculo della madonna che veramente non si tiene, non guardare i film od i videogame, il forte rinculo poi lo domini quando ci ha preso la mano, ma alla fine spari sempre a colpo singolo e non ha una gittata così lunga.
Meglio un M468 (anche se lo conosco poco)

@Mortales0092 per esperienza personale 0. x quanto riguarda i giochi ho un portatile e dal 2003 in poi non mi parte nulla, io parlavo sulle statistiche sulle prove a fuoco, ovvio che qualsiasi fucile deve essere utilizzato da mani esperte, un soldato che usa un ar70 la prima volta avrà fatto delle cazzate immani ma poi ti addestrano apposta su quello. a me sembra che ci sia un blocco totale su un apertura alle armi di fabbricazione russa, nonostante il 7.62 è una palla pesante con uno s.power

@Mortales0092 notevole allora dico non è meglio un arma che "faccia il suo dovere". ora poi vabbè la stanno sostituendo l'abakan monta il 5.45 che forse (non sò) è più leggero dello standard nato, ma ha una funzione che fà un burst di soli 2 colpi a 1800 colpi/minuto in modo da avere 2 proiettili che colpiscono il bersaglio in simultanea permettendo la penetrazione del giubbino. se poi vedi com'è fatto vedi anche le soluzioni che hanno trovato x eliminare il rinculo eccessivo

La cosa più importante non è il fucile in sé ( sappiamo già che è un ottima arma come il 70/90 ) ma la tecnologia con cui è legato, molto sofisticata come tutti i fucili ed accessori di 4°gen. infatti legato sia con l'elmetto che con il sistema di puntamento che nel seguente caso è SELEX GALILEO sicuramente costosissimo.
Speriamo che ai soldati venga dato l'intero pacchetto, almeno a ( tutti ) quelli che sono in missione se no il solo fucile va anche bene ma non è un soldato futuro ....

@valeriobert Niente di strano. Sono in Svizzera. Qui le armi automatiche (tranne il nostro SiG550 d'ordinanza) sono normalmente prohibite, e concesse a collezzionisti tramite autorizazione eccezionale, che costa 150chf (a confronto dei 50chf per une permesso d'acquisto di un arma semi-automatica).

Io soldi si trovano riducendo i costi della politica e diminuendo l'evasione fiscale. Per me tu non sai neanche di che cosa stiamo parlando.
