its @ 1.60 Ghz on normal mode and its @ 2.8 on turbo mode... its pretty damn good thats a quad core.... i still cant decide between that and a toshiba qosmio u should chek it out

lets put it this way.... depending on the program u r runin the computer would use x cores.... most common use programs use only 1core, most games use 2 or 3 CPU cores at max....if u r watching this i asume u wana buy a gaming laptop.... go for the one with the best graphics card... thats better gaming performance.... hope this helps....

dont buy this laptop, it looks good it costs a lot, but other than video card it has ver very bad specs like old ddr2, slow front bus speed processors!!! the main things are old old technology, you can buy a a customized lenovo y550, looks amazing has choice of very fast processor and ddr3 memory standard has 1 gb nividia card. and comes at about only $1000 you can find a coupon online to save 15%
