OMG!! I was in the same boat as you when it came to turkey. I always had to get a leg because the rest of the turkey was so dry and not moist at all. I had to smother it with gravy to get some moistness to make it edible. So, I tried your brine before I smoked it on my grill........absolutely amazing. I didn't even eat a leg because I was so into the white meat. The most tender Turkey I have ever eaten. Thank you so much for this brine. I can now love Turkey again. :)
that looks great! my family is none the wiser to the brine, specifically my pops, even though he was a professional chef for part of his life! he bastes it like everybody else, but i realize it is not as useful. how much better does it taste?
You know, your video helped me a lot...I mean, most videos have very conplicated ways and very complicated recipes---yourse was efficient ans simple enough and this year, I'm trying it again...
I saw this video and thought it was ideal for me. I love sweets and have always wanted to make a juicy turkey with that hint of sweetness to it. I have read and seen other brining instructions, and they specify that you should rinse the turkey after you let it set for a few hours. Do I do it with this one? When do you add the brown sugar? Please help, this will be my first turkey and I want it to be amazing!
I did this yesterday. AMAZING! The white meat could be just picked up with your hand it was so moist. No carving needed. LOVED IT!
