I'd never even *heard* of a plough plane before yesterday. I'm a painter but I wanted to explore making frames. The only thing people talk about are routers, so I got one but now I have to save up for some new bits. This looks great though--yeah a bit more elbow grease, but well done! Thanks for the post.
Because I like using the plane? :) Also it's less noisy, less messy, less dangerous, more time to realise you're doing something stupid without the work being too far gone to rescue, and personally I get a greater sense of job satisfaction than I do after spending even a minute wrapped up in safety gear with a screaming router. But yeah, I could have used a router. Be an awfully noisy video though... ;)
Great job. Can u do a demo with profile cutters? This video is 4 years old so I suppose not. Your now probably grown, with children.

Good technique and well explained on how-to use a plow plane properly. Great results without the noise and setup of a router.
