It wasn't too bad a show. The english dub was terrible and the japenese dub wasn't too bad,but the story and symbolism in the show will leave many confused. I know I was confused when I first saw this show. Its far from a perfect anime.
In ancient Rome, it was forbidden to kill virgin girls... so when Tiberius wanted the young daughters of his rivals executed, he had the executioners rape them before their strangling.
... This has been your "Fun Ancient History Fact" of the day. :)
Suetonius "The Twelve Caesars." In the book dealing with Tiberius, Chapter LXI.
Suetonius has lots of interesting tidbits about the Roman emperors. Not all of them are true, mind you, but I do think this particular fact is. There are other sources that tell us of this sort of act, and if you understand Ancient Roman culture, it does make sense.
The music was a nice touch.

I find this to be somewhat a mix of berserk and glass fleet abridged.
That is an amazing combination.

What a dickhead! Yeah, it's probably some Freudian symbolism getting thrown into our faces...I'm surprised this video doesn't make fun of it.

Yes, catapults are mighty. Why there isn't a Catapult Gundam throwing spears I'll never know.
Konataproduction 3 years ago
They did.
It's called a "ballista."
It's technically a catapult.

With a Gundam? 0.0

Oops. I read your comment wrong.
I thought you were asking "why don't catapults throw spears?"
... Well... sure. They did have spear-throwing Gundams in ancient times!
Why not?
After all, the absence of evidence isn't the evidence of absence. :p

According to Persepolis and Christoper Hitchens, there is a similar law in The Quran, and some Islamic state regimes have used the same loophole.
