Strange that unitedites should mock this given that it is over 86 YEARS since they won a major trpophy...perhaps they should be getting ready for their centenary...I know we will be lol
I was on the cop,15 years old and had twisted my ankle at school the day before.
When we scored i jumped up and my ankle gave way when i landed,i fell under a barrier and god knows how i avoided being trampled by the fans.
WE should have won the replay at Highbury, the ref played well past time (like refs do at man utd when theyre not winning) Any videos on here of the replays?
Great memories! Went to the Highbury replay-Roger Wilde 1-0 heaven ;we were robbed! All this when the FA Cup mattered. This was the first real 'Big Game' I recall-the previous one was beating Southend 2-1 in our last game in 1976 to avoid dropping into Div 4. Christ we'd fallen. The old boys talking about championship challenges was before my time! Can't believe we've dropped into the 3rd tier for the third time. 75-80 should have been it after Big Jacks rebuilding job.
I was at this game..what a laugh it was with the snowballs..all the way through the half time break we were making em..waiting for Jennings to come back on..there were 1000,s thrown..great memmories..no harm done.never forget it.
Yeah, the 3 replays at Filbert Street are a part of Wednesday folklore. There probably little more than a curiosity to most Arsenal supporters. Wednesdayites greatly outnumbered there counterparts at he Leicester games as well.

Yes, it took Arsenal 5 games to beat us, then 5 more to win the cup.
(And Lowey's goal at Highbury should have stood - but how I enjoyed the replays at Leicester)

Yeah, the buggers beat us in that bloody final :(
