  • Damn Giants ruin everything

  • @SuperPeezoo no roger craig and kyle williams ruin everything

  • Great, great game. This is a a tough thing to say for a life long Raider fan to say but, I think the 9ers woulda beat the Bills just as Giants did. That having been said it's all academic really, the Bills never faced the 49ers so, we'll never know. Excellent post.

  • The Bills for 4 years stomped through the weeds of a pathetic AFC which made them seem better than they were. They were destroyed by teams like the 1991 Redskins and 1992 Cowboys with great offensives. The great 1990 Niners offense, basically the same team as the Super Bowl winning 1989 version, would have out scored them as well. And the Niner D front 7 was superior against the run to the Bills. Ever notice here that the Giants don't get to maintain epic long time time of possession like SB 25?

  • Jerry Markbreit...my all-time favorite ref

  • The Buffalo Bills would have won Superbowl 25 if the 49ers won this game.

The Giants were had an amazing gameplan to beat the Bills (game clock, tire the defense, and keep Kelly off the field).

San Fran would have lost - Buffalo was too damn good that year.

  • @2taggs2

The only reason the Bills made it to those 4 straight super bowls was the mediocrity of the AFC.

The 49ers had enough defense to keep them in the low 20s and enough offense to score more than 30 points.

Steve Young would have started that game since Montana got knocked the fuck out. THe only thing Young did was win a couple of MVPs and a super bowl after that so the '49ers were in good hands.

Buffalo Bills = most overrated team of the 90's.

  • @QBDogKiller

Yeah. John Elway and Dan Marino sucked, right? NOPE. Such a WEAK argument when everyone says how the AFC was not strong enough -- well, you know what? Let's suppose your argument was correct (that the AFC was too weak) that STILL means the Bills were the BEST team back then in the AFC. They beat the 49ers - no question... Seifert is no Parcells.

  • @2taggs2

"Yeah. John Elway and Dan Marino sucked, right? NOPE."

No retard. Their teams simply didn't match up to the dominant NFC teams of the era: 49ers, Redskins, Giants, Bears & Cowboys.

"They beat the 49ers - no question"

Your ignorance is sad. Watch more football.

  • HAHA! I love the screen name! Meggett was the ONLY good kickoff, and punt returner in our history!

I have this entire game too!

    GEEEE-MEN BABY!

  • ESPN NFL Countdown had a flashback on this game today with Bill Parcells providing his memories.

I think what was most memorable about this game was when after Bahr hit the game-winning field goal, Pat Summerall said "There will be no three-peat."

It was Roger Craig who after Super Bowl XXIV began the "three-peat" chant. And it was his fumble in this game that essentially destroyed the opportunity. One of the greatest exercises in hubris that I witnessed.

  • @ultraback29

Roger making a reference on the sidelines of their Super Bowl victory over Denver about a possible "three-peat" is a sign of hubris? From what I remember about that statement he was not being a dick about it. He was not making a guarantee either. Hubris?

  • But the other game to be played Sunday, Ravens-Patriots, has interesting parallels with the 1990 NFC title game. Ray Lewis and Tom Brady are viewed as the best players on their side of the ball in this century while L.T. and Montana were seen just the same in the '80s.

Also, Bill Belichick was a Giants assistant at this 1990 playoff game, a game broadcasted by CBS. On Sunday, you'll find Belichick and CBS (and yes, Phil Simms) in the Ravens-Patriots battle.

  • Thanks dave for the video i have been looking to see this game for ever my friends said they had it on tape but could never find it. Thank you sir wish u were returning kicks this weekend for big blue

big blue fan since 1973 yes yankee stadium ... well i thank my uncle for makin me a giant fan

  • This is the 21-year anniversary of this game, I'll bet the G-Men win again!

  • Brother I'm a niners fan for life. But i loved wathcing you play takecare. David thanks for the memories stay blessed...

  • Now the 49ers will have a chance to avenge this game next Sunday!!!! GO NINERS

  • @Jackass887 Im making a matt bahr jersey and flying to SF. Go Giants!

  • @res340 I'll give you my glock, you might need it

  • @MegaBigdawg75 my friend just told me that. your ititials mm?

  • Man ima die hard Niner fan and as a kid i didnt go to school for 2 days after this game.lol great old rivalry of the 80s. Still hard to watch. Thanx for uploading

  • @chauncy817 I feel the same way about the tuck rule game( Im a raider lover, guilty as charged)

  • This was essentially Joe Montana's last game as the 49ers' starting quarterback. He missed the entire 91' season with an elbow injury and when he came back for the 92' season the job already belonged to Steve Young.

  • The REAL NFL DAYS. Todays NFL is soft

  • @skywalker7327 you git that right, eff roger goodell

  • @gntluvr Watch this game and you see a lot of hits that are now banned.Ronnie Lott was one of the best

  • 49ers ran barely any slants or screens, or if joe just ran to the left game over

  • horrible calls against the niners in this game refs had there heads up their butts

  • In This Clip, From 0:00 To 0:29, It Was CBS Sports' NFL On CBS: NFC Conference Championship: New York Giants Vs. San Francisco 49ers Video Open From Late Sunday Afternoon, January 20, 1991.

  • Worst game of my life. But I tip my hat to the NY Giants.

  • Roger Craig gift-wrapped a superbowl to the Giants.

  • i remember this season like it was yesterday both teams stared of 10-0 and lost their first game in the same week i Love my GIANTS.......

  • thank you for doing these games......fantastic

  • thanks dave meggett!! u were cool little dude on the field!

  • pause the screen at 0:30, DAMN

  • man, this was so upsetting at the time for me being a 49er fan. But Oh well

The Giants Played a great game here

  • wow this old

  • Can u upload rams vs 49ers 89 championship game? Thanks

  • For my money, the best NFC Championship game ever. Two ALL-TIME GREAT teams...hard hitting, great strategy, big stars/names, and a great finish.

  • oh john madden, how i miss your voice when i watch football

  • @MrJonesywales Yes Madden and summeral was the best they had the best football voice of all time

  • Anybody got that "86" 49-3 beatdown of the 49ers in the divisional game or the 17-0 NFC champ game against the Redskins?

  • thanks

  • lmao HOW CAN ANYONE NAME HIMSELF " DAVE MEGGETT" If he not a series abuser? And im a md alum and know his osn

  • ah man thank u, good times back then love the vid

  • most physical championship game ever

  • i dont care who played qb for niners the would have beat bills their defense was better and they would score easy on buffalo not taking anything away from bills buffalo was overated in my opinion giants played clock ball against bills niners could do same thing all day

  • lucky for the giants phil sims was out!! Hostetler's style gave alot of teams trouble....

  • Back when the NFL was a man's game....not the case today.

  • The 1990 NFC Final is one of the best ever played between two tough and great teams

  • Does anyone else LOVE the fact that there's no first down line on the field, no score/time box taking up a corner of the screen, no constant graphics popping up, no stats scrolling at the bottom of the screen, no scores of other games constantly flashing...

Unlike today where people's attention spans are a joke and everyone needs to be updated constantly and repeatedly.

  • what a bad call, clearly an incomplete pass

  • Question. I had some videos of this game removed due to copyright reasons. You know any specific rules, because you have the whole game posted.

  • This was a great game.

  • joe montana would have been out for the super bowl, and though steve young was capable, he still had yet to emerge as the player we all know him as so it's hard to say if they would have three-peated or not

  • @vudujl83 Buffalo would have won Super Bowl 25.

  • thank u for putting this and the mnf game on here. ive been a giants fan all of my 30 yrs on earth. ive dealt with a lot of heartache, pain, disgust and anger out of these guys but ill never give up on my boys.and in 07 when we went all the way it made all those years of bullshit worth it. this is the greatest playoff game ive ever seen an im not just sayin cus im a giants fan. everything that hinged on the outcom for both teams and the physical brutalliaty of this game is somthing never see again

  • still the greatest win in the history of nyg. nothing will ever top this.

  • @albanypjm - I used to think that way, til SB XLII. Now this game - for all its glory - is second best.

  • Man, This is when the 49ers where the shit. Now, they are a piece of shit.

Roger Craig, I'm still looking for him to kick his ass. They could have 3-peated.

  • Haven't seen this game since I was 11. Thanks Meggett.

  • THE DAVE MEGGET, MR. EVERYTHING, MAN I NEVER THOUGHT ID FIND U ON YOUTUBE. I SEEN YOU PLAY IN ANAHEIM AGAINST MY RAMS IN 1990. OF COURSE U GUYS KICKED OUR ASS. THIS GAME WAS ONE OF THE BEST GAMES IVE EVER SEEN NINERS GIANTS , WITH PAT SUMMERAL AND MADDEN IN THE BOOTH, MAN IT COULD NOT GET BETTER THAN THAT. ALTHOUGH I HATED TO SEE YOU GUYS WIN IT THAT YEAR , YOU EARNED IT BY PUNCHING EVERYBODY IN THE MOUTH AND I PAY MY RESPECTS TO THE 1990 GIANTS

  • cbs old school grapics

  • Good game, bad result. 49ers could have won more Superbowls than I have fingers! 5 will do I guess. But it's time for #6!

  • Not just that game from 1990, but what about the monday night game from 1989? Which had lots of scoring.

  • Hey "Dave Meggett", do you have the giants vs 49ers from monday night dec. 3, 1990?

  • @y3nbiz just finished uploading it! enjoy...

  • @DaveMeggett Which game was when Bill Romonowski broke dave meggetts finger
