  • Would have LOVED to have been there!

  • A great version of this song. Should be a classic but sadly Mott just seemed to of missed out some how.

  • Estes são momentos DIVINOS.....

  • This really rocks!!!!

  • Awesome video, what a band they were & still are!:)

  • Joe's really cleaned up his act since then.

  • Joe Elliot really doesn't belong up there

  • God Music=Brian May ...:D

  • Thanks, Enid, I really needed that!

  • i bought my first 8 track tape in 1974 mott the hoople, & i saw the live at the coffee break concert at the cleveland agora & i still love em !!!

  • Ladies and gentlemen, playing the role of "Kid Rock", Mr. Joe Elliott!

  • Rock and Roll with "heart".

Ian wrote well: "you have to stay a young man, you can never grow old".

    Wisdom.

Brian May is great. But he is like the king said about Mozart in Amadeus: "Too many notes". (wink)

Who is the clown that walks onto the stage?

  • Joe Elliott...idiot

  • @extreme469 Joe Elliot..Yummy...

  • Well Joe Elliot pretty much ruins this potentially classic performance, doesn't he?

  • @cybolt YES. I was thinking the same thing. Brian May was awesome though.

  • @NChorseluvr - Does Brian ever age????

  • Joe Elliot is useless - get Bowie out there!

  • The guitar on the lyrics are so f..kin awesome, chills runnin down my spine

  • Brian May is the shit !!

  • Joe Elliot, please go now!

  • Brian May!!!!! Ian Hunter!!!!!!!!! All the way Dudes!!!!!!!!! Rockin song, hot rockin good-time band. Perfect concert tune. GREAT POST!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fuckin great

  • One of the greatest rock-n-roll songs of all-time.

  • Parece una reunión de borrachos, joder. musicalmente penosos todos, incluyendo a brian may, que en solitario hace una versión que le pega cien patadas a esta.podrían haber ensayado todos un poco.

  • brian may

    the best

  • Joe Elliott is a tosser.

  • Somehow, I dont think Bowie will show up. I believe there to still be some animosity. On the other hand, time dulls the bitters and some things may be forgotten/forgiven. What do you think?

  • This video makes me want to be a rocker when I grow up....Lot of love and respect on that stage.Saw the band in S. F. in 1974.Pretty Things opened the show.Another classic rock and roll show for the ages.....Hope the band makes it to the west coast.....

  • There is so much to love about this video. But, hey. Brian May. Nice guitar.

  • Joe Elliot :)

  • Ian's da man.

  • Anyone want to venture a guess as to who might show up at the Mott The Hoople Reunion show? My guess is Brian May, Joe Elliott, maybe Brian Ferry from Roxy music?

    C'mon everyone, chime in here ! :)

  • Bowie ?

  • Got 2nd row seats dead center for the big Reunion show October 2nd 2009. Flying from "Cleveland Rocks" Ohio to London England for the show. I cannot wait to see this. What a class act Ian and gang have been all these years. Please dont stop making music. You are truly one of the Great Ones. May God continue to smile on you.

  • Lucky! Wish I could be there...

  • express to heaven sisters and brothers. play it LOUD.

  • definitely heaven brothers and sisters, fastest way to get there is to play this video loud.

  • iv'e got my tickets for London!!! Have you????

  • oh yes i was there thought i died and went to heaven

  • Brings tears to the eyes..........tears of truth and inspiration.A sine' quo non of what live rock and roll is all about performed.Perhaps the song makes sense to musicians who fit in to the 'rocker'category, but the words and composition clearly make this song epic in its portrayal of rocker life in a Dostoevsky kind of way.

  • That is Mick Ralphs playing guitar along with Brian May ,btw.

  • lol the guy signs his name at the end.

  • This is one of those songs that you can't really explain why it is so great. I agree that it was better when Mick Ralphs played lead as on the C.D. recently released from '04. Brian May I will always appreciate for his insightful remarks about Honda Minako when she passed but Mick Ralphs lived the song, its about his guitar. Ian is the only late 60's rocker who I feel has never let us down. I hope he lives to be 120. Greg G. of Portland

  • joe created the word sexiest man alive! just by the way he looks and continues to amaze even someone like me

  • Just fabulous. Thnaks

  • My first concert in Atlanta in 1973 they opened with this song. I'm afraid I have a soft spot for it then. Nothing against nostalgia. I think Hunter's voice has actually gotten better with age. He should do the vocals on this song. (Let's face it. he never could really "sing" -wink) I like May just fine. But I miss Mick Ralphs, Overend Watts and the boys doing it then.

    Just Of The Boys.

  • Sorry, I had a senior moment when I typed this.

They oppened with "Driving Sister". My bad. How could I get that wrong.

I feel we must be historically accurate with this special band. LOL

  • i think i've just died and gone to heaven.

  • Genius.

  • Look at the hair and the posture! HAHA I liked 1970 aswell..

  • amazing

  • I was there too. Brian May appearing was such a bonus. A really great night despite the bar only selling canned beer that was warm and very expensive. You notice things like that when you are middle aged. Rock and roll!

  • DAMN it's nice to see Ian is still out there. Mott had some really great rock songs. He still sounds pretty good here and aged well. Rock on IAN!!!!

  • Oh My God!!! Brian May is the best!!!

    Brian May!!

  • I was there! :-)

  • So was I....trying to stop my mate Dave jumping on stage...I failed miserably lol

  • Brilliant! Not only is Ian singing and playing better than ever but he certainly has aged gracefully. In fact name me a Rock star from late 60's to the present who still looks this sharp. And believe me, Mott partied with the best of them I imagine. Go Ian Hunter!

  • Did you ever read his book - Confessions of a rock star? It's really funny. He was a married guy with kids, always worried about his weight... They all hated the groupies, and would send them to annoy the roadies, & vice versa. Good stuff.

  • @lordritchie Jimmy Page!! He looks awesome in It Might Get Loud. He has aged VERY well.... fell in love with him all over again. :-)

  • ONE OF THE GREATEST FUCKIN' ROCK & ROLL SONGS EVER MADE!

    ~And there was my guitar..electric junk~

  • speechless

  • How sweet was that??!! Absolutely brilliant jam-out. Brian, of course, stole the show on that one - It don't get any better than him!!

  • awesome! sounds really different from the original but certainly not in a bad way i mean brian may is playing guitar!!

  • I agree!

  • ian hunter (mott) brian may(queen) joe walsh (the eagles) it cant get any better ,,ffs this is golden,,,god bless rock-n-roll,,p.s u got to tell your friends to tell there friens abot this 1 ,,

  • Joe Walsh?

It's Joe Elliot on vocals along with Ian.

  • Brian with Ian Hunter ...excelent

  • Dave from Dartford is cool! Sorry about Spurs though.

  • SPURS?

  • joe is amazing

  • Hey Joe...cool t shirt...where can I get one?

  • joe elliott is the sexiest man alive!

  • Guy in black shirt~~~sexy joe elliot (Def Leppard)!!!!

  • Brian May is incredible on guitar. I saw him in Hyde Park with Q+PR. He is easily the greatest guitaring legend. He plays amazing on this song.

  • this was a mates thing when ian came to the uk- just for fun and the noise and the love

  • P.S. I saw Queen open for Mott the Hopple in about 1974 or 75 in KC. Yes, it was Sweet. Brian May had just joined the Group or it was his first US tour.

Mott the Hopple should have stayed together. I never actually liked Bad Company much, never disliked them.

  • They certainly did not compare to Mott the Hoople in my book

  • theses were some good ole times stirz up the teenager inme again love it dee!11

  • Check out Ian's Napoleon Dynamite hair!

Cholling, you're right. Brian looks like he just walked out of a 'Night at the Opera' session.

    Almost didn't notice Mick!

Who's the blonde guy in the black shirt and not playing anything?

  • That's Joe Elliot...Wiki has a piece on him.

  • "All The Way..." is one of the greatest rock songs ever written. I saw Mott the Hoople play it live in '70s (and I've seen Ian and his band play it a couple of times) and it never fails to thrill me!

  • I always knew Scorcese was cool but when he opened his movie "Alice Doesnt Live Anymore" with this tune, that sealed it.

  • Scorcese always has great rock songs in his films. Check out Meanstreets(1973) when Johnny Boy(Robert DeNiro) enters the bar."Jumping JaCk Flash"..Classic Baby...ATWFM is a great tune..Thanks..

  • I saw Queen open up for Mottin the 70's. They were okay, but Mott rocked!

  • although I am a huge Def Leppard fan,,,Joe is left in the dust here,,

  • Ian Hunter ROCKS....I love this tune!

  • including ian hunter

  • i also got to meet the band after the concerts it was a great experience

  • i went to a couple of the concerts on this tour and i must say the show was awsome but they were minus brian may he only appeared in the london concert here but the whole band were great including and not forgetting Mick Ralphs one of the originals

  • i dont know if anyones noticed it here but the drummer here is ex wings drummer steve holley my cusin

  • Don't forget Mick Ralphs on guitar as well!

  • I was noting that before he was announced... Played with Mr. Gilmour as well on About Face 84 tour! I heard this only with the Contraband project from Michael Schenker, the star of that all-star affair. It almost is a better version then Hunters!! Check it out

  • Brian May looks like he never left the seventies! His swashbuckling body movements here (i.e. the perennial guitar hero) are pure Histrionics 101, but I'm sure it always makes for a hell of a good time live, nevertheless.

  • wow! What a find! So glad to see these guys still making such great music. I was a fan of Mott the Hoople's back in the 70s and to see video of Ian or the group itself is so exciting. And oh man, Brian May in this? I swear, that man has one of the best guitar styles and sound that I've ever heard. He rocks out here!

  • A custom signature bred from an early design... Really only May seems to appear with one, though I think there was a line for sale, or still is

  • the dude who jumped on stage is cool!

  • Dave from Dartford. I was there. Embarrassed the shit outa me lol

  • MY GOD!

Ian and Company showin' the young-ones how it is done.

    Thanks for this gift.

  • Awsome.. thanks..
