Personally, I think that the reason it is harder to remember where everything is in this game is that the graphics make every area more or less look identical. This doesn't make it a bad game, it just means that there aren't any significant landmarks to orient yourself.

you can play pretty much any NES game ever at virtualnes. com for free. I'm playing this on there, but I can't get very far.The only other metroid games I've played are fusion, and prime 3 which were AWESOME!

actualy zero mission has a 3 shot far gun its the second item your supposed ot get and it powers your gun up intensly enemys go form a 3 hit to a 1 hit

I lost my copy of zero mission, and I am going to buy it on amazon. I just beat fusion. Final boss is sorta epic, but it could have been epicer.

Not by far, as you say. i consider them equal. i can understand you not liking fps metroid, but I personally LOVE the prime series, as well as the 2-D games. So equal in my eyes. ^_^
