@skatersfriend mild soapy water ruining your rim? (Not) I wish you luck trying it without mild soapy water. Make sure you get the rim and wheel lined up and then give it a good stomp just like the video. It helps to get the wheel started all the way around on one side first and if you have it all lined up it goes much easier. It does take a first timer a few tries but you will get it.
@dfx961 You should not need a video. The kill button has one wire and that wire needs to be connected to one of the wires found at the engine. The other wire your engine has is not used. The kill button's second ground wire to make a circuit is actually the body of the kill button and so there needs to be continuity from the button all the way back to the motor for the button to work.
hi i have a question on throttle cables... i just bought a new throttle cable barrel extension to hold the cable in place better. But i cant figure out how to get the lead weight on the cable through the old barrel to put on the new one... could you please respond or make me a video and post it as a response.. thanks alot
The bearings can stay in place if your just replacing the rubber. I only show how to pop the bearing so this video can cover replacing bearings as well. I get my bearings out to replace them when they need to be replaced by using an axle bolt stuck in on one side so it bumps into the bearing on the other side and with a hammer hit the bolt to pop the bearing out. Those bearings are just press fitted into place. Just don't forget to put the spacer back between the new bearings.
i watched this video and went out to my garage and did that to my go-ped rim. worked after about 3 tries and now i can finally ride my go-ped after about 2 years! haha thanks for the video
I should have mentioned that the tire will go on the rim even easier if you get one side started all the way around the rim before stomping. Then maybe you would have gotten it your first try. This was a quick and dirty way I would get my new tire/wheel ready for a race but it can take a few tries before they snap together.
Can you show us how to take the old rubber off!!!?!?!? these videos are very one-sided

@FrenchValleyAirport You simply just cut it off with a sharp utlity knife or a hack saw will work too.

yeah i figured that out after the first few failed attempts.
no worries, if it weren't for your video i probably still wouldn't even be able to ride my go-ped.
thanks again!

How would you take the tire off?
jfire5 2 years ago
Use a razor blade to cut through the tire. It should only take several passes with the blade. Once you get through, it comes off easy.

The factory uses a custom designed pneumatic press.

Just curious, how are the tires put on at the factory? Is some type of press used?
