Doesn't work that way. You have to kill someone to unlock them. However, since Sasuke couldn't accomplished it. He transfer it to Sasuke to make it seem that he killed his brother. That's why he gets a new eyes. When you get someone's eye and they are dead. You unlock a new power as well.

You would know that Tobi has declared war on the ninja nations, and thus, the nations became allied, Naruto now has the Kyuubi as a friend, Sasuke has got his brother's eyes (litterally, he lost his, and Tobi gave him Itachi's) and Itachi has come back from the dead thanks to Orochimaru's reviving jutsu. As of now, Sasuke and Itachi are going to fight again.

The only important guy Sasuke succeeded in killing is Danzo, who is basically a sixty year old Sasuke. He was able to defeat Kakashi, Deidara, and Orochimaru in a matter of seconds (or less).
He was able to bear the weight of killing his entire clan except his brother (including his girlfriend, his best friend, and his parents). If he hadn't, there'd be more bloodshed; it's like killing one innocent person to save 10 innocent people (or something like that, not entirely sure on the specifics but it would have been the worse option).
@dalekcaan1963reborn actually in the case of kakashi it took 3 days. and in the case of orochimaru, we didnt see all of their first fight but in the second fight, he had to seal him away with his strongest technique. and no he wasnt able to bear the weight. he cared so much about dying at sasukes hand that he forgot to do anything to protect the world. and he didnt even beg for his mothers life, only sasukes. he didnt care about his mother at all.
@Canadish He plays it cool; no half hour monologue about how superior he is and how he'll take over the world, he just goes in and gets stuff done so fast it's shocking, and all while appearing to not even need to put effort in.
He was able to hold out against Sasuke while dying from a horrible illness, and even then he only lost because he intended to from the start (he fought to make it believable to Sasuke that he'd won, and to get rid of Orochimaru).

Also in Japanese mythology a warrior named susanoo sealed the demon away. A lot of Naruto is based on multiple Japanese mythology.

@SouthDallas20 It wasnt his fault. The Leaf elders including the Third Hokage told him to kill everyone in his clan to prevent another Great Ninja War. He just couldnt kill his brother, but in order to keep sasuke from becoming obsessed on why he killed his clan he lied to him so he would think that he just wanted to kill his family for his own purposes. Itachi wanted his brother to get stronger and become a great shinobi and not to become addicted to research and be a nerd.

@TheSpyker98 yes it was his fault. he withheld the information of madaras return for no real reason, even though it would have eliminated the need to segregate uchihas, and therefore the need for a coup. the leaf elders told him, but third hokage didnt want to. he was overruled. and he tore sasuke down by making him into a crazy revenge obsessed maniac rather than making him a hero. itachi cared about making sauske stronger but didnt give a shit about sasukes sanity or happiness.

if he didn't overuse them, he would have beaten him, not necessarily killcuz he loves hiim, but he would have dodged sasuke's attacks. Itachi would have still been alive, if madara never attacked the village, then itachi wouldn't have to protect sasuke by killing his friend and the clan to get internal mangekyou sharingan, and he would have still be here rite now, the point is tht it is madara's fault

He was able to defeat Kakashi, Deidara, and Orochimaru in a matter of seconds (or less).
He was able to bear the weight of killing his entire clan except his brother (including his girlfriend, his best friend, and his parents). If he hadn't, there'd be more bloodshed; it's like killing one innocent person to save 10 innocent people (or something like that, not entirely sure on the specifics but it would have been the worse option).

@dalekcaan1963reborn actually in the case of kakashi it took 3 days. and in the case of orochimaru, we didnt see all of their first fight but in the second fight, he had to seal him away with his strongest technique. and no he wasnt able to bear the weight. he cared so much about dying at sasukes hand that he forgot to do anything to protect the world. and he didnt even beg for his mothers life, only sasukes. he didnt care about his mother at all.

@Canadish He plays it cool; no half hour monologue about how superior he is and how he'll take over the world, he just goes in and gets stuff done so fast it's shocking, and all while appearing to not even need to put effort in.
He was able to hold out against Sasuke while dying from a horrible illness, and even then he only lost because he intended to from the start (he fought to make it believable to Sasuke that he'd won, and to get rid of Orochimaru).
He's ridiculously intelligent.
