@super00su Easy, Ford drops in their new 6.2L V8 but with DOHC and an aluminum block and a different tune for street performance rather than for a truck. They should easily make over 500 horsepower naturally aspirated if they can get 412-444 horsepower from their naturally aspirated 5.0L. Then for a GT500 version throw a supercharger or twin-turbo's now easily over 600 horsepower. Dodge and GM just have to make some tweaks to their current engines and lose some weight and they're set.

And they can never get it to its top speed because they constantly break transmission and such trying. Your actually wrong about the v8. I built my LS2 350z and I just recently got it running again with my new 88mm turbo setup up front and its STILL lighter than a stock 350z. Last year it was 3100lbs full weight and went 11.3@129 on street tires and handled just fine.

Yes you're absolutely right. You can take a beautiful VQ engine and add heads/cam for 6k and make an extra 50hp or add JUST a camshaft kit(750$) to an LS engine and make 100whp..your logic amazes me.
