I bought one of these (in the uk as im a brit) around 2 years ago.. it was another 911 or the V8.. dont know about the usa but in the uk you can now get a very good 2nd hand one as i did for £50,000 (£90,000 retail new) although it was more than i wanted to spend on a car... i still have no regrets.. they are so much fun and go like a bat out of hell... i love it.

With all do respect i like Aston Martin specialy DB9, but yesterday one vantage convertible cut me off and went in to the carpool lane like if he wanted to toy with me and i took off with my 02 mustang GT pretty much stock except air filter and magnaflow mufflers, i left him way back and also my GT is 5speed, the irony is that a car that i bought for 3,900 just beat a 130,000 car, Also not that much difference knowing that a GT has a 4.6 and a Vantage has a 4.7

I really want to get to a pre owned dealer and check this automatic out. All of the reviews like top gear and fifth gear are unforgiving towards the automatic. nobody likes it but dosent care to elaborate more other than it lags. i hear alot of bad shit about these semi auto transmissions, it cant be that bad can it? i hear BMW, aston martin, audi, all have terrible semi autos. its hard to believe companies like that would put a inferior product into a 6 figure car.
Well not strictly true. Audi use double clutch gearboxes & BMW have started to use 5 clutch gearboxes which dont suffer the lag problem, infact with 5 clutches you cant even feel a shift which are only noticable via the rev counter. I have had a normal semi auto which suffered the lag problem & it gets really annoying, in full auto it revs too high & doesnt pick the right gears, in manual it takes noticable time to actually change gear and the car kind of jerks on gear changes
aston martin and america are alike, they both put big engines in smaller cars. except aston makes theres cost 3 times as much

Under auto mode, It's quiet,imo :) S-mode will make the engine loud.

I love to buy a use Aston Martin V8 Vantage but heard and read review that their build quality is not on par with a 6 figures car. I think I will get a use Audi R8 instead.

hahah "but get the manual!" lol i love manual ^_^ Its just so fulfilling to have that much control over your cars responses xD not to mention down shifting makes such an amazing sound! i have a 215 hp BMW 3.0i and thats a blast to drive i cant imagine what this must be like...

I really want to get to a pre owned dealer and check this automatic out. All of the reviews like top gear and fifth gear are unforgiving towards the automatic. nobody likes it but dosent care to elaborate more other than it lags. i hear alot of bad shit about these semi auto transmissions, it cant be that bad can it? i hear BMW, aston martin, audi, all have terrible semi autos. its hard to believe companies like that would put a inferior product into a 6 figure car.

Well not strictly true. Audi use double clutch gearboxes & BMW have started to use 5 clutch gearboxes which dont suffer the lag problem, infact with 5 clutches you cant even feel a shift which are only noticable via the rev counter. I have had a normal semi auto which suffered the lag problem & it gets really annoying, in full auto it revs too high & doesnt pick the right gears, in manual it takes noticable time to actually change gear and the car kind of jerks on gear changes
