Jasper, thanks for your input, Runyon Canyon Park is not a 30 but 160 acre park, which is visited by some 12,000 to 15,000 people a week. I track serious accidents with some care; there have been plenty. The city is currently raking loads of revenue from the parking citations issued in the surrounding permit parking zones. And I've wasted not one, but hundreds of hours trying protect our community, which gave Los Angeles this park and gets little but inconsideration in return.
Jess... There is 30 acre park spitting distance from this. Have you seen the parking restrictions now on vista and every other street in the surrounding area. Do you realize the revenue the city has lost ? I bet you that if you spent time looking up just how many serious traffic accidents on these streets you'd feel stupid about wasting an hour of your life on this crap.
Really..this is whats wrong with California, the one place which has soul and a sense of community is under attack...You are right these criminals needs to be stopped!!!! Cause as well all know that a high traffic area..this is the diff. between east coast and frigid west coast mentality..bah
The big deal is that this is a very dangerous mix of autos (many lost and looking for parking or the Hollywood sign or whatever) and pedestrians who are obviously more focused on their glutes than the traffic around them. I live on the street, and it's a nightmare. Someone is going to get killed or seriously injured if something isn't done. I just hope it's not me or one of my friends on either end of the transaction.
