  • bakawas singer!! all are of-tune singers

  • Mr. Rizwan: Thank you. Sometime back I had a similar comment and I acknowledged my typo (or mistake). I stand corrected. Thank you for pointing it out.

  • Allama Iqbal was born and died much before the creation of Pakistan. I agree that he is Pakistan's national poet. i also wish well to our neighbor, Pakistan. It is also the truth that this song was written by Allama Iqbal FOR India. It is India's unofficial national song as well.

  • this is not indian petriotic song was written by pakistans nation poet and poet of easty DR.ALLAMA MUHAMMAD IQBAL..remember this.thanks pakistan zindabad

  • @TheFaisal106 Brother .... Ya i agreed ....its written by Dr.Muhammad Iqbal But He Died in 1938 ....Nearly 9 year Before Partition......@ that time He was an Indian ...He wrote this on 1904 When He had a secular Vision......And its an Unofficial Indian National Anthem ......

  • aligarh muslim university is a fine institution of india.... welll thye r not singing as nicelt as they sud but.... yeh... passion is good

  • this song by Allama Iqbal in praise of India is so patriotic that people in India and world over think that this is the National Anthem of India.

Has not Dr Allama Iqbal rightly described the truth about India .

  • No doubt In expressing feelings and presenting beauty Iqbal has his own place. This is his very early age poem (Tarana-e-Hindi) but in this we can see flight of his thoughts and grip on language..thanks for sharing Sharma ji

  • No doubt AMU is wonderful University. I have spent my SIX precious years there....... no one in this world can ever forgets the memories of Aligarh if studied once......i salute to The founder Hazrat Sir Syed Ahmed khan......

  • Thank you for your comments. Both deserve praise for their contributions. Allama Iqbal for his philosophical

poetry and Rakesh Sharma for being the first Indian in outer space. I am proud of both of them. Are'nt you.

  • give credit to the great poet......shayer-e-mashriq......the one and only Alama Iqbal.....not rakesh sharma........

who went in space wo bhi kiraye ki gadi mein.....

  • @amasameer stop disrespecting great people, kiyaye ki gadi mein hi sahi atleast we've gone lol padosi mulk ke haalat dekho.

  • Although its not recognized as such

but I think Aligarh is one of the best institutions of the world

A lot of leaders of Pakistan have been a product of AMU

but thats a matter of the past now, we have future ahead of us

May this institution live and shine for ever

  • hindostan zindabad. humay hindi bolni chahiye dooston ,ye angrezi kya hai hindi kay aage, aisi khoobsoorat zabaan is duniya mein aur koi nahi hai....

  • Thank you Mr Rizvi. Its a pity that we have tended to ignore AMU's role as a national institution.

  • Thank you. We have never ignored AMU's role as a national institution. Why will we. If you are in Cambridge US, you will have noticed that AAANE is active locally in all functions by the Indian Associations. We have been and will always play a constructive role for the beterment of the commmunities that we live in and serve.

  • Mr Rizvi, I agree with you and my comment referred to mainstream media in India

  • Mazhab Nahin Sikhata, Aapas Mein Baer Rakhna,

Hindi Hain Hum, Vatan Hai Hindositan Humara

  • Also in the second line.. the word 'GULISTAN' very often wrongly pronounced as GULSITAN..

  • it is so pronounced coz it rhymes well.. try singing it with Gulistaan, nd u'll know the difference!

  • Dear Vinay Bhai: namashkar. Thanks for your comments which are true and in good faith. Yes, Allama Iqbal was a Kashmii Pandit before he embraced Islam. This is a fact and history. I concur with you.

Their might be comments that we may or maynot like. It is OK as long as the comments are made with a sense of responsibility and respect to everyone.

thanks and do not be a stranger.

  • Reliable sources??? Fact and history, lol, i think not. It doesnt bother me either way, but get ur so called "facts" straight before u start presenting them as such.

  • @Alirizvi12 Brother.. Allama was born in sialkot. It was his great grand father, who was a Kashmiri pandit, He had then embraced islam and migrated to sialkot. Both Allama's grand father and his father were devout muslims(May Allah's mercy be unto him).

  • Mr. ali Rizwi donot try to change history this "Tarana -e-Hind" not "Tarana-e-Hindi"

  • Mr. ali Rizwi don't try to change history this is "Tarana -e-Hind" not "Tarana-e-Hindi"

  • now i know this will start another firestorm among your more crazy viewers rizvi-saheb, but do you know that iqbal was a kashmiri pandit, a sapru, before converting to islam?

so not all converts were lower caste and hence discriminated against. this is just by way of providing information and i hope it wont fuel more incendiary remarks from khatara express and others....

  • HAHA, ur not serious. Check ur facts and not ur made up propaganda. just makes me laugh, turns out u cna find anything on the internet to prove a random argument!

  • THIS IS WRITTEN IN URDU! and is not "Tarana-e-Hindi" but "Tarana-e-Hind"

  • OK. Thanks

    Ali

  • Dont be picky about typo .I dont know which post it is .Urdu is NOT writen in Bastardised Roman script introduced by firangi .Are you one ?

  • Actually, it IS tarana-e-hindi, as published and recited by Iqbal at Government College, Lahore, in 1905. And tarana-e-hindi is perfectly correct in Urdu.

  • This was written by Allama Iqbal ... the national poet of Pakistan...

By the way.. by Hindustan... Allama Iqbal didn't meant India... but India, Pakistan and Bangladesh!

  • Missmundo2006: True this song was written before India's partition.

  • Its funny every indian quotes ayesha jalal like its vedas or something. Ayeshah Jalal is a no mark who was not there to witness the freedom movement of the subcontinent and so has her point of view. Its funny Indian argument is so flawed that they have to resort to a Muslim no mark to support their argument. There are better than the likes of her who were not in favour of dismemberment of India but you guys just cannot seem to help yourselves.

  • Siddhuw - Please do not generalize. Im Muslim, and also Indian, and will always be so.

  • Dear Friend, Dont speak of Prayer.

    Prayers Dont give Solution.

    It's Determination that does.

And we need to groom ourselves.

  • what a beautiful song! A beautiful description of India and her people.. I am from south India but after listening to the sheer poetry here i really want to learn urdu! Thanks to Alirizvi & co for singing it wonderfully and for posting the song here.

  • learn hindi u fool

  • As a Kashmiri, I love India as much as I love Pakistan. I wish it never separated. I AM hopeful for it's unity. Sare Jahan se acha Hindustan hamara!!!

  • no it is not.. Iqbal realised that India was for the hindus and not muslims after a few incidences.. if you read up on history Jinnah was the same and after the politics of Nehru Muslims realised they would be better off with a separate homeland.. If anything Jinnahs fears have been found to be true seeing the socio economic situation of muslims who are the worse ethnic group of any in india

  • saara jaaha se accha Hindustan hamara....

  • soon this song too would be probably banned by this Italian as this may offend some who feel Mecca and Jerusalem are the best in the world and not India.

Dont know what's going to happen to my Beloved India

  • sorry, i don't understand what you means with the term Italian. Do u mean Sonia Gandhi?

I love this song so much, it's very catchy and beautiful. India is really "sare jahan se accha"

  • certainly, thta itailian slut who was sent as an emissary by the vatican to Destroy India.

  • hes talking about Indira Gandhi dude.. dude, don't make us look bad..

  • Yes this is our Hindusthan!. Allama iqbal's great poem.

    Thanks Alirizvi

  • Hi: I don't think so. Music is love. it has no boundaries. One can find satisfaction in all forms of music. Probably, if you knew the language, it could be better understood.

    I hope you'd try...

    best

    Ali

  • very good collection....keep up the good work...thanks..

  • I checked u r profile ..How long ago u visited India sitting in U.K.?Do expat have more nationality than people within it?

  • Thanks. It was on the 12th August 2007, on the 60th Independance day celebrations at the HAtchshell in Boston downtown, by the Charles River.

    ali

  • Who cares who sings this?! This is India! We don't judge by religion!

  • Total Agree =]

  • siddhuw, you think it's a big deal that...'Muslims singing this?', I believe a muslim wrote it in the first place, so can we conclude that Indian muslims are also Indian like all other Indians? :-)

  • Brother sidhu, let me tell u something as Ali said India is not for hindu, muslim, sikh or all other religon it is for us Indians, unity is the beauty of our country. Moreover this beautifull song was written by a muslim poet itself Mr Mohhamad Iqbal, and he first sung this song at government college in lahore, now in pakistan. so respect all. jai hind

  • I cant agree more with you Ali..Well said..

  • India is not for hindus or muslims. It is for all of us. we will preserve its integrity till we die.

    An Indian Muslim in USa

  • " Jo abr yahaan se utthega Wo saare jahan par barsega"

    Thanks for the upload Ali!

  • yes.true. thank you

  • Hey Siddhu...Grow up Buddy .. Don't generalize the entire community based on handful of fanatics..I am a Muslim living abroad however I am and will be always an Indian and Hindi till I die..I get into fights and arguments here with anyone who uses any derogatory words for my Desh..

  • I'm ashamed to say this; but I like this video even more cuz its Muslims singing this. It's not often we get to see you lot feel patriotic. Not bein patronising or anything. Cheers, guys.

  • 'Muslims singing this?', I believe a muslim wrote it in the first place, so can we conclude that Indian muslims are also Indian like all other Indians? :-)
