  • Most unwanted or destructive behavior from dogs comes because of boredom or lack of excersize. Treadmills are a great way to give dogs the excersize they need in modern society where we don't always have the time to take our dogs on hour-long walks daily. Cesar Millan, the best dog handler in the world encourages the use of treadmills.

To the people who post ignorant/negative comments: just because you think dogs are "cute" doesn't mean you know what is best for them.

  • ilove staffiess !!

  • @trigot33 exactly right!...have you ever tried to get a Staffie to do something it doesn't want to do??

  • I was thinking of getting a treadmill for my Staffy...only because I can't exercise him like he really needs.

I should imagine he'd need some training ... was it very difficult to get him to accept it?

  • hahah he loves that, good vid, nice dog, i got 5 of them lol ;)

  • or should that be - insinuating.

  • or incubating lmao :D

  • im sorry i dont understand what your implicating

  • ha ha quality i could do with 1 of these for my staffy.

  • Am so sure that pitbull rescues can generate their own electricity by simply putting the dogs

on treadmills that are hooked up to a power generator or something along those lines, am not very educaded but I think is something worth looking into.

  • nice vid mate do you get same bad responses that i have watch mine on treadmill he loves it same as yours

  • i think this is fine as long as they aren't tied onto it, or is that how you train them to do it?

    i love staffies, though.

  • At first I straddle the treadmill with the dog on a lead and run the mill slowly until the dog gets used to it. My dogs have all loved it once they got used to it and ran it without being tied on.

  • @PhilJamesTaylor The 'real' dog treadmill has no motor and the dog runs his own speed, so he needs to be tied on to prevent him either running off the front or falling off the back.

  • yeah, my only concern would be my baby getting treadmil burn from slipping and nowhere to fall as the treadmill is against the wall.

kudos for inovative dog walking these suckers need to get their energy out so they dont become distructive! and those idiots who think this is cruel its not.. A people pay to run on treadmills themselves.. lol.. and B high class horse trainers put their horses on tredmills its a good idea. just remember loads of breaks and water, staffies dont know their limits.

  • Great vid. My staffie does this n loves it. She jumps off whenever she wants. People that say this is cruel r idiots who r the type of people to moan bout everything as theyve nothin better to do.

  • lol thats so kool wish i could get mt 2 staffies to do that..

  • good video check out my staffy on his treadmill

  • much better than letting it get obese, and live miserably

  • omg some people have no respect here and odviously have no idea about dogs nice vid mate he looks well happy lol

  • cruelty my ARSE***** does this dog look like hes being abused or even look like hes not enjoying this? anyone who owns or even knows about a dog would no this dogs enjoying himself! gorgeous lookin staff by the way!

  • some proper no knowledge idiots commenting here, ive been advised by my vet to run my english bull 3x30 mins at a fast trot as therapy for a dodgy knee, ITS GOOD FOR THEM.

  • Very dog whisperer!!

Dogs luv it, if they didn't they would jump off. I would have to run my staffie for at least 2 hours outside to tire him out, he has arthritis so the treadmill is better for him!!

  • Whats with all you moaners he would jump off if he didnt like it. Its not like hes running fast thats about the speed of you or i jogging.

  • Stallone Staffie lol

  • why are people taking offence to this video i find it cute if it didnt want to run

it could just jump off jezz every1 should lighten up

  • jump off? have you seen how fast its goin!!

  • its a vigorous trot for gods sake, hes not going full speed!!!!!!!!!!

  • well spotted!! you dont think theres anything wrong with his back legs hitting the wall then????????

  • when a staff runs they have all 4 legs off the ground and bend their back, he's just trotting there. if he wanted to stop he'd jump off or just stop running and break the treadmill!! lovely dog who looks in very good health.

  • I assume you suck a LOT of cock.

  • Comment removed

  • THis is good for the dog. Maybe you are a fat lazy couch potatoe that think working our of any kind is cruel. This is Good for the dogs health. The dog does not seem in any discomfort at all. YOur just mad that the dog has more stamina than ur lazy ass does.

  • thats not abuse you idiot, and if he stopped he wouldnt get wedged between the wall and the treadmill he can just jump off, staffies are pretty fast little dogs, you can obviously see the dog is enjoyiong it,its also good exersise!

  • lol if they get wedged its called dumb dog... my one would probably fall in that category

  • Hey Budlyons, got a few questions for you? im looking for a dog to keep me company when i go for runs, how long does your pup go for, what speed does he go at? what was he like when he first started? would really love a Pit, Dogo Argentino or a staffy but because 2 of these are illegal so looks like im staffy bound, just need to know if they can run or not. cheers mate

  • if he hates it he'd jump off or try and sit down. he's obviously loving it. go staffy go.

  • how exactly is he hateing it?

  • Nice dog...big head....nice colour...:)

  • lol i shud do the same me and my dog lol

  • thank god u moved the mill i was just thinking "wat if the dog falls" but ye cool dog i have one just like it

  • aww love the video but i think tht u were a bit cruel by nt given the dog a break or somthing he didnt even have any space at the back of the mill but it waz good

  • Yes, Exercice that monster

  • i'm in Scotland, they banned pits in 1992 along with some other breeds. Some people still have dogs taken from them if they're suspected apbt's.

  • This isn't a pit bull though it is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. We also lived in Scotland and Liverpool in England and had a Staffordshire from the RSPCA and she wasn't banned. Best dog ever.

  • wow that sucks, where are you located? I hate BSL. Its like, saying we're gonna ban all Mexican or Spanish from the US. Its totally not possible. Oh well, I wonder if you get ridiculed for having a Amstaff though, due to ppls ignorance and not being able to tell the diff. Them ppl Suck. lol... Hopefully soon I'll be able to post some vids and stuff of my Kids.

  • hahahahaha

  • lol i luv this if i had a a tredmill again i wud do it to my dog lol

  • your sick!

  • i hope you dont figth your dog

  • do you do this exercise him a lot? how long does he usually run for? how much exercise do SBT's need?

  • he will gladly run the mill for 30 minutes a day and loves it. i run him at 7kph. staffies need a lot of exercise

  • 30 mins a day on a treadmill, cant you just put a lead on him and take him out!!!!!

  • baha how long does he do this for hilarious

  • Come On Rocky You Can Do It!!!

I love your dog, i had a staffie but he went missing, we have put up posters but nothing yet :(.

  • I hope you get your dog back. If you do, get it microchipped.

  • yeah we already had him chipped so we think someones stolen him

  • all our dogs would be happier running outisde but that isnt always possible. treadmill helps.

  • what are you trying to do? build endurance? if so, yea, thats good. If your trying to cut up you should reduce the speed and increase the incline a bit

  • like the rocky theme tune in the back! nice dog.

  • actually hes having fun or he wouldnt be on it u prob dont own a staff so u dnt know wht ur talking bou

  • A tired bully is a happy bully ^_^

  • brilliant idea for those rainy days, my staffy doesnt even go near the front door if its raining. lol...

  • cool wow awsome

  • i love it i have tried to get my staffie to do this but he will stand on it but as soon as it starts moving he jumps straight off..any hints

  • use a collar and lead at first, or a harness if he's used to one. Sraddle him so he has no choice but to do it. soon he will like it and you can remove the collar/harness. it's only because he is scared at first, he will get used to it.

  • thanks i will try that.. hopefully soon you will see my boy on the tready...let you know : )

  • awesome, does zebo look forward to the treadmill?

I've tried so hard to get my staffie on a treadmill but she just sits and stares at it lol
