  • Im from the netherlands almost everyone in my country is skinng.

  • Europe as a whole has a lot more activities for people to do and it simply has more "walkability" whereas in America you almost MUST drive anywhere to see anything.

  • Tom Cruise is obese!

  • DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • @duckbabe12 even the healthiest of people need to get check ups at least once a year. unless you're a conspiracy theorist or jesus christ scientist..

  • @duckbabe12 you work at a hospital and you don't go to the doctor? What? So all thin people are secretly hiding from doctors in the United States?

  • @duckbabe12 from the CDC Percent of adults age 20 years and over who are obese: 34% (2007-2008) Percent of adults age 20 years and over who are overweight (and not obese): 34% (2007-2008)

    From Web M.D.

Feb. 10, 2010 -- More Americans are becoming overweight or obese, exercising less, and eating unhealthy foods.

That’s the finding of the latest Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index, which shows that 63.1% of adults in the U.S. were either overweight or obese in 2009.

  • If all the women in america get fat I'm fucking moving.

  • right now iam 5ft 7in weigh 126 pounds with a body fat of 9.81% and I live in America

  • right now iam 5ft 7in weigh 126 pounds with a body fat of 9.81%

  • @MELLAD4 You do know that were over weight because food prices are too high, right? Or did you just assume we all eat fast food and let readily available fruits and vegetables rot because you heard it on the tely. And Europeans accuse us of being unaware of their politics when their just as blind to ours.

  • im from america and im underweigh by 10 pounds

  • @meg99zimsbestbud and you are in the minority :)

  • @meg99zimsbestbud What happened did your moma eat all your food?

  • rofl your cat is clearly american

  • It's because their food is so cheap and 2 times more than anywhere else :P

  • @999124999

is it true that in macdonnels of america, they give you 50 macnuggets? o.O

  • @rangel550 I think I don't know for sure though :p

  • eeww. America is so fat, strange the continent doesn't sink to the core of the earth... They eat and eat and eat and fart and eat and eat and eat and eat and fart and shit and eat and eat and eat and eat and eat and eat and eat and eat and eat and eat and fart and fart and fart and fart and eat and eat and eat and eat and eat and eat....

  • @Aenigmo well lets not go into hyperbole..

  • @Aenigmo you mean you think that your country is more and more more and more more and more more and more more and more more and more more and more more and more more and more more and more more and more more and more more and more more and more superior. I'm sick of you rich fucks picking on the lower class, xenophobe. Do you also look at poor africans and say...good thing i'm not african, or i'll have aids

  • @Aenigmo hmm. i find That offensive since im 10 pounds underweight and there are people at my school who are fat, the rest are perfectly skinny and fit. mostly it is the teachers, not the students. i geuss they are being bad role models and thats why the nation has obesity problems with some people.they "grow" into it. see what i did there?

  • @Aenigmo Eat and fart...I like that.

  • Why does everyone think that americans are so fat? People in the UK, and Germany have aprox. the same percentage of obease/overweight people as each other. You also have to realize that all of the top 3 richest people in the world are american.

  • @cheatmasterbw Actually the richest is a Mexican guy. And Germany and UK don't even make the top 15 fattest, America is 8th fattest with 79% of the population overweight or obese. While Nauru is the fattest with 95%.

  • @cheatmasterbw it's a xenophobic thing. These ppl HAVE to belittle others to feel better about themselves, they are ethnocentric. True america has more fantastically wealthy ppl than most other places, but the average european is the equivalent of our upper middle class/moderately wealthy, while the major percentage of americans are really poor, especially by comparison. You know how the whole class warfare thing is here right? well a big part of the upper class are euro entrepreneurs.

  • @cheatmasterbw bullshit in america is every second person a FAT person while in europe every 5th! there's a huge gap between poor and rich since you have 200 million people some are eating their own shit due to poorness

  • @erwillrockn You see, thats what bothers me. Only 3-4 people in each of my classes (in school) are over weight, maybe only one person in my whole school that is obese. Only some parts of america are obese/overweight.

for example, city areas have most of the obese people, probably because all of the fast food.

In farm land (making up most of america), people have to actually grow food. (about 60%)

i guarantee you that most of the videos showing fat americans are in city areas, not in farm land.

  • @cheatmasterbw And yet, America is still the fattest country in the world, meaning that despite 60% of the country making it's own food and being fit, the other 40% is so immensely obese it tips it over.

  • @MyFaceBurns North america is stereotyped to be the most obease. The actual most obease is a place known as American Samoa.

  • @MyFaceBurns North America is only stereotyped to be the most obease country. The actual most obease is American Samoa, which is nowhere near (location wise) the rest of amerca.

  • Americans are gross.

  • @tropical481 well thats a bit of a hyperbole dont you think..

  • @astrolabe1976 lol yeah I guess the statement was a bit one sided but it's still kinda funny to say. :)

  • @astrolabe1976 no he's right americans are fat asses! you can not deny any of his accusions that you have a high obese ratio

  • I got a bit chubby a few years back, 29 BMI (Close to obese), i completly stopped fast food, sweets, crisp's and kept fizzy drinks to an absolute minimum and walked a bit more than usual, i took my neighbors dog for lots of walks lol. Before i knew it i was back down to a normal weight. Diets alone do not work.

I also dont believe fatness is genetic, i believe some are born with a slow metabolism in which you are more likely to be fat, but regular exercise will change your metabolism.

  • If everyone in this country was fit, healthy and ate whole foods there would be no health care system as we know it. Surgeons would exist to repair broken bodies due to accidents. Remember. Doctors don't cure anything. They never have. The body heals itself. Doctors treat symptoms. Thats what keeps the whole machine going. It's all a big racket.

  • 1 in 3 kids in America are obese...............that is fucked up

  • Most of the cities in America are not bike friendly at all. I think San Francisco and Portland are the best cities for bicycling. If I'm wrong than give me another city that is.

  • good video....excellent topic

    you look like Derek Fisher!

  • 90% are fat in USA and even army has this problem

  • Americans let themselves go because they fork out a $100 a month on health insurance that will save their fat-asses from dying of diet/food related factors. Even if they dont have private insurance or work benefits, they get it for free for doing jack-sh*t their whole life. If they start having health problems because of their diet, the doctor can fix it quick! So why go to the store, buy food, cook it, wash dishes?...Just go get freakin McDonalds every day! May as well use ur insurance, right?

  • Hi , good vid. I'm new to America (from scotland) and one big difference - people don't walk much. Everyone has a car. People drive to work , people drive to the mall then they go home. Many many people live like this. In Europe which is less dominated bty the car and there are real downtowns , people walk more between shops and to people watch. The downtowns here largely suck. Just my thoughts. I dont know how to fix this. :)

  • wow u talk so slow and are boring! other than that good video

  • It's their own fault for being fat...the same with people who are addicted to alcohol or cigarettes, ect. Poor self control. I used to work 2 jobs and went to school full time and still found time to lift weights and exercise between 2am-4am and was desperately tired but still made it happen. Had a fat friend who works 1 full time job and still won't exercise cause of excuses...bottom line, there is no excuse!!!

  • Only 37% of adults in modern day American are over-weight, only 17% of children ages 12-17 are.

  • @USAForLife2057 the CDC disagrees with you * Percent of noninstitutionalized adults age 20 years and over who are overweight or obese: 67% (2005-2006) * Percent of noninstitutionalized adults age 20 years and over who are obese: 34% (2005-2006) * Percent of adolescents age 12-19 years who are overweight: 18% (2005-2006) * Percent of children age 6-11 years who are overweight: 15% (2005-2006) * Percent of children age 2-5 years who are overweight: 11% (2005-2006)

  • @astrolabe1976 Yes and my CDC was from THIS YEAR

  • @USAForLife2057 Feb. 10, 2010 -- More Americans are becoming overweight or obese, exercising less, and eating unhealthy foods.

That’s the finding of the latest Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index, which shows that 63.1% of adults in the U.S. were either overweight or obese in 2009.

That was a small but measurable increase from 62.2% the previous year. The survey finds that 36.6% of Americans are overweight and 26.5% obese.

    ----

you left out the obesity number..

  • @astrolabe1976 I beleive the recent numbers as of Nov 2010 79% of Americans are overweight or obese.

  • @USAForLife2057 *cough* ahem, "only"?

  • @dimax997 I'm not continuing a fight from 5 months ago, about a video made so people feel better about themselves by belittling others. Feel free to keep showcasing how immature you are though I won't be answering back.

  • @USAForLife2057 Over a third of all adults in America are overweight according to them statistics. That is terrible.

  • @MyFaceBurns I would go back to your high school and demand a refund if you can't even do percentages right.

  • @MyFaceBurns 36.6% of Americans are overweight according to your statistics, and 33.33r% is a third, meaning that over a third of America is overweight, which is exactly what I said before.

  • well there are things good about fat people. They are very nice and kind.

  • So what if there fat? Whats so wrong with being fat? it didnt cause any trouble, it didnt make obama president, it didnt get people fired from there jobs, and it most certainly didnt make people bankrupt. So tell me WHATS WRONG WITH FAT PEOPLE!

  • @0XxSuzakuchanxX0 It's a fucking disgrace thats whats wrong with it!, its a FUCKING ABOMINATION. When you see children who are so fat they can't even climb a tree or run because there ass is so massive. It's disgusting and shows a lack of respect for your own body. SO FUCK YOU ASSHOLE ! You must be a blind retard to think there is nothing wrong with it.

  • @0XxSuzakuchanxX0 I used to know a nurse who suffered a back injury from trying to lift an obese, overweight, fat ass person from gurney to a bed. So now can you tell me there's nothing wrong with fat people? I just feel sorry for nurses to has to wash and clean the body of some ugly, fat ass person.

  • @MegaZerotohero What's porshans??? Did you mean portions?

  • Tehehe you could see a cat in the backround

  • all i can judge is restaurant eating...and living in Croatia, and visiting Spain several times...portion sizes are the same! The only thing smaller is the size of your drink/beverage

  • haha, its true u lot r over weight.

I went to America for a holiday and this American Security guard in the airport, had is fat belly down to his knees!!!

(and he was eating a burger)

    but really nice place,

    2 warm tho!!!

  • @mazimoomoo we do need to make amarica (not sure if spelled right!) a better place by starting by makeing us a helthy wegiht

  • @bigzeb123 dude that is impossible if we try to make them eat a salad they will but tones of salt on it XD

  • I've actually been told that I over exercise... but that's due to other issues. I jog, run, dvd work outs, stair stepper etc. I also watch what I eat very closely. I can tell when I am messing up on my diet or exercise...

I think getting rid of soft drinks and some juices even would be a good start. They are awful!

  • I agree on the sedentary lifestyle being a major factor.

Exercise does not require equipment, a specific place, or anything other than your body, so how can cost be a factor? Time and energy are more likely reasons this is dropped. The later can be remedied to some point by diet.

It has been found that eating more often but less at a time helps increase our metabolism (up to five small meals rather than three large ones) Also getting rid of processed food makes a huge difference.

  • im thinking soft drink/candy tax

  • I would tax HFCS, MSG, tobacco (more) and alcohol (more)

  • That's not fair to me. I'm a 5' 8" 130 pound male. Why should I have to pay more for junk food?
