I have a heart murmur. I have to see a cardiologist before football season so he can clear me. It runs in my family.

I just had about 3 tests cause my heart started racing when I take antibiotics or supplements and I was really scared I thought I was sick cause my stomach started hurting and I didn't want to eat much and felt like faintnig so the doctor said I had a MUR-MUR but said it was ok ? past the treadmill / cardio test and my blood is fine just too high on pottasium and too low on good cholesterol. but in 3 weeks I will see the doctor again and we will see...I can still workout the doctor said.

Heart Murmur is just the name of the weird sound that the doctor can hear in your heart. What cuse the heart murmur is the hole inside your heart name "ATRIAL SEPTAL DEFECT". Is what I have and I gonna have surgery soon.

i have one the doc says it will go away when it needs to but some times it hurts really bad is that good? and yes it can kill you i play baseball soccer football all of that sorta bothers me but not that much

ive got a heart murmur and did have a few holes in my heart too and had em since i was born and i know its there but it hasnt killed me yet and the type that ive got is supposed to be quite rare

Sometimes I get this fluttering feeling in my chest that lasts for half a second or so. I get it once in a while at rest and sometimes when exercising. Is this a murmur?

I get that a lot. It's most likely a heart palpitation. An irregular heartbeat. Best check with your doctor to be safe.

I have serious heart murmur, sinca I was born i have but my parents never took me for check up due to the doctor said it won't affect at all when I were born, but now that I grown, I have serious breath problem and anormal heartbeats, I made a echocardiography and doctor said my murmur is too big, 2.5cm, and I must have operation, otherwise it will affect me more when I get old. (now Im 28) and I will be operated within this year.

not affect your life span.

what you want to know is if your heart murmur will affect your life span.

the only answer is you must find out through testing.

I am 17 and have a heart murmur. I was a child and having my hearing tested and they picked up the heart murmur,they said that there was absolutely nothing to worry about. It doesn't effect me at all, i even forget i have it at times. A murmur is just the timing of the heartbeat, it may be a little different, that's about it really.

My dad has a heart mur mur, i know hes a bit older but i think the same princaples apply, you wont die if its not that seriouse (To my exsperience with my dad) He kinda has pains when it happens but it doesnt really effect him, hes had it sence he was a kid, now hes 43, going on 44.
