lol 2 dislikes?? dont click on a nin song if u dont like nin der! they couldn't of been nin fans cause any fan would appreciate this footage regardless the quality...thx for the video, made my night hearing this song done a lil differentially than any other live version ive heard
I'd like to know how anybody on this blog know excatly what Trent (micheal) did or didn't do and I highly doubt he let any bimbo rip his world to pieces( he just used his experiences to make great music). All his songs are about feelings.
In case anyone is wondering.... PHM in its entirety is about some bimbo that totaly ripped his world to pieces.... Listen to each song and you'll get the whole picture...
This album is a lot different from everything Nine Inch Nails did after it...
Maybe u are limiting yourself to that electronic essence found in the overall sound of the album...or maybe you just haven't listened to all the other Halos...
I strongly recommend you to listen to The Fragile in it's entirety...Nonstop...
ppl are stupid drugs dont make the music the ppl do, if it was drugs that did it then they would be constantly singing about them in every single song they would do its the emotions that have an effect on the music( love hate confusion pain depression).
Obviously you're very smart hellchild65, so I'll explain myself. Drugs exacerbate things, like emotions. I'm not advocating the the use of them, but I am stating what is nearly fact. If you want a laundry list of artists who use/used drugs, I'd be happy to write one up for you. At which point it would be apparent as to the relationship of drugs, music, and emotions. I'm not saying that musicians have to be high, but the great ones do a lot better when they are.
@hellchild65 almost all of my own music was written under the influence of drugs, i wouldnt have written nearly as good of songs w/o drugs esp weed and shrooms/acid. i dont sing about them in every song that i get creative with due to drugs, or every song would be about drugs lol cuz every song is psychedelic-influenced. im sure trent was on drugs when he wrote this stuff, anyone who does drugs can tell from the way it sounds
In regard to sickasamoo, I don't think there was a time before the drug abuse. I mean, it did get worse, but the drugs have always been used and abused in NiN. And, it makes for incredible music! Best sound of any band anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!
not gunna lie i think this is the gayest NIN song...and im a huge fan...seen them twice and i loved everything about it...but pretty hate machine had some pretty flamboyant songs on it lol.... lots os sweet songs...but this tune what i get is pretty gay but i like how they play ringfinger live in this clip pretty sweet actually
It's nice to see NIN live before a lot of the drug abuse, before all the political stuff. It's just four guys on stage playing a bunch of songs - no theatrical stuff, a basic light show.
Another reason why I like these shows is that I imagine this is not unlike how it would have sounded when Trent was recording it all, it helps give an idea of how the songs themselves came together.
ps the drug abuse is what made NIN lol... the aggression on stage...the songs straight from trents heroine days came the best shit... downard spiral- the fragile.
@Superman7575 Let's be happy he pulled out of it before it completely destroyed him. His new stuff may not be as powerful as the old, but it's still amazing compared to the current music scene. If it had destroyed him I would've never seen them live.
Grow THIS! He was at his most raw, most profound, and most deepest during the "Pretty Hate Machine" and "Broken" years. As for the debate over "Ringfinger" or "Twist", hmmm...the emotional sentimentalist NIN fan in me loves "Ringfinger". But the sadistic pervy NIN fan in me cannot respect the band without "Twist"!!
Nine Inch Nails sounds better live.

janbillian, this was in 1989, the year they formed, its not their best I've seen, but for it being one of their first live performances, its awesome.
