    [Psalms 31:3 - KJV]

  • I am a hindu, buy I feel like crying whenever I hear it.

  • @akimf This is the hymn of Martin Luther, who established Lutheranism, one of the major protestant Christian churches in the West.

  • @Nonie46 Not really. It dates to the 19th century, some 400 years after Luther. In fact, it's the anthem of the Salavtion Army. I'm a Lutheran myself, and this is one of my favorite hymns, but you messed up on a little historical fact.

  • looks like my school

  • Dad wanted this played at his wedding......Mum was having none of it! I wanted it played at his funeral....It wasn't allowed. Dad this is for you....... Love you foreverXXXXXX

  • im having this played at my nan's funeral next week was one of her favourite songs that and abba. sorry about the loss of you father. xxxxxx

  • How about turning the other cheeck like Jesus?

  • Jesus was not literal when he said that.

  • We used to sing this back when I was in grade school, late 70's-early 80's. Man I miss singing classics like this one; my church just has us sing along with the youth pastor's 'originals', and nothing has ever been terribly classic.

  • Well i have to say, i am mormon. I absolutly love this song even though it isn't even really a mormon song, I LOVE HOW PEACEFUL AND HAPPY ALL THE KIDS LOOK WHEN THEY SING....GOD BLESS YOU ALL

  • The best song ever made. The beauty and grandeur of the song is only paralleled by the angelic voices of the choir.

  • That was excellent

  • love it !!

  • They played the hymn at my paw-paw's funeral when me and my cousins were carrying the casket.

  • I really like the hymn.

Except for the percussion (it needs a little work) I love the arrangement.

Better yet, the hymn was originally written for boys, so it being sung by a boy's choir is particularly appropriate.
