Not abusive, she only killed them, even after they begged for mercy. She was given medicine to treat her mental illness but chose not to take it. But it's everyone else's fault. That's laughable. She is the most dangerous piece of shit alive and she didn't deserve those kids. She was the one who didn't develope right. That stupid violent piece of shit.
That psychologist didn't know Yates' case. Andrea Yates didn't simply have post-partum depression, she had major psychosis. She is probably schizophrenic or has bipolar I disorder. She'd brought up this "her bad parenting will doom her kids" several times over a few years. Her shrink wanted her in the hospital, but her husband said no. I believe she should stay incarcerated for life tho. Because there is no way to ensure that she will remain on her meds.
Her husband was forcing her to have more children cuz of his religion he was making her go crazy my neighbor has 5 kids and I go over every day cuz her husband is gone 24/7

Leave shrinks out of the criminal justice system altogether. The notion, that a psychiatrist can divin the criminal mind, sometimes months after a crime is committed, is a perversion of medicine and the system of justice. Western culture did away with witch pricking, so why the insistence on the insanity defense in any circumstance?
