  • Wolfgang Puck is a hypocrite. :(

The very concept of killing in itself is not humane, and there is nothing humane about taking dead animals into a kitchen.

    Lookup GoVeganRadio!

  • You tell em wolfgang! That's right..... It's all about organic and we and the animals will be happier in the long run, I support all organic restaurants, snacks, grocerie stores and farms :-)

  • I eat organic vegetables and I purchase at the farmer's market fresh vegetables. I eat chemical free turkeys you can order generally through your health food stores and wild fish and seafood, not farm-raised. If you do purchased vegetables that are not pesticide free then clean them with a pesticide solution in water to wash the fruits and vegetables before eating...This carries over into my catering for my own customers who aren't aware they are EATING HEALTHY!....Eat clean, eat healthy..:)

  • amen,...preach it !!!

  • @elqgroupltd Sadly, you are sitting at a neutral 0 "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" because you don't seem to realize that the precious "chemical free" food you eat is still grown in farms. What kind of fantasy world do you live in? Do you think the people that advertise these 'chemical-free' solutions to food aren't growing them in controlled enviornments? If they were, would you really prefer eating the uncleaned garbage that plagued mankind with diseases for decades?

  • Wolfgang Puck is one of my favorite mentors in cooking and I am so glad to see that he has a healthy standard of cooking as I do. I am former vegetarian (purist) meaning I ate no meat whatsoever, no poultry, no fish or seafood as some people think they are vegetarians if they eat vegetables, poultry & seafood. You are not a vegetarian, you just don't eat pork or beef. I myself am no longer a vegtarian but I eat poultry, fish & seafood only...But I eat organic & clean poultry & fish.

  • If Wolgang wishes to hide nothing, the animals to be featured on the menu should be slaughtered right there in his 'open' kitchen!

  • ban foie gras

  • Eat. Love. Live. Go vegan.

  • I pay 15 euro's for a free range chicken, and I don't mind. =)

  • Excellent video! Kudos to Wolfgang and The HSUS! You rock! May all chefs follow your lead!

  • Anyone associated with HSUS is a domestic terrorist just like HSUS. No human should be harmed because they do not subscribe to the HSUS "complete animal liberation" campaign. Please HSUS, no more hate mongering, no more violence. Please seek goals that no longer hurts Americans!

  • Wayne is SUCH a tool! Tired of him getting rich on donations. Get the facts people!

  • O MY FREAKIN GOD! HE IS MY BF! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG NO ONE LIKED HIM BETTER THEN MEE! UR JELLY!!!!!! comment my pg.

  • This is what all the chefs of the world should be aiming for, this concept of cuisuine, not the gordon ramsey's trash. Thumbs up for this video.

  • It's easy for Wolfgang, he can rasie his prices to compensate for high food cost. Can you?

Thats not the real issue though. The truth is that there are some practices in farming that should be changed. But there are trade offs. for example if you take a sow out of the crate and put her with others, they fight violently for food resources and can injure each other. The way we farm was designed to minimize injury and disease and maximize health and growth. Wayne Pacelle never talks about that.

  • @Myhomeranch well maybe the sows were not meant to be confined to small spaces with other sows in the first place, ever think about that? why do you think it is the best method to confine them to crates? surely it is not in their best interest but the best interest of the farmer to cut down on vet costs! the best solution is to cut meat out of the human diet completly! there s plenty of proof out thee that a plant based diet is better for us, the environment and the animals.

  • The more industrialization and chemistry involved, the more health problems we have.

Mad cow is a product of industrialization-not nature!

There is huge difference not only in nutritional value, but in taste when the meat you eat is farmed organically.

    Huge difference!

I personally do not want to eat any kind of food that is injected with hormones and forced to live in an unnatural way ,and I am NOT rich or even priveledged, but my health depends on it.

    Yours does too.

  • Splendid

  • What a douche. How can food even taste good unless its meat and chemically enhanced. Delicious. Fuck the earth we were put here to take full advantage.

  • shut the fuck up

  • Happy Meat. Paul, you have sold your soul.

  • I ♥ his clam chowder

  • HE ROCKS!!!!!!!! !!!!!!

  • He's so crazy! What an interesting eater! I love the no cage animal and the no hiding under Wolfdance puNCH! THis is the crazieet movie Ever!

  • Umm.. I like veal and cornish game hens. I like vegetables also, as a side dish.

    Vegans suck gas!

  • I am glad Puck changed his mind about Fois Gras. He ridiculed Charlie Trotter for banning Fois Gras not too long ago. I wonder what made him change his mind?

  • Why would anyone defend developers of Foie Gras. It is so cruel. These animals are tortured. I would prefer a world that did not eat animals, but if we can not have that the animals should be treated humanely.

  • raising animals 'humanely' doesnt eliminate cruelty, it merely reduces it. vegan is the only way to go if you really give a sh*t about the well being of animals...

  • vedge-ey-taybel

  • vegan is the way

  • (continued...)

That isn't the only thing that bothers me about the HSUS either. The disclaimer that they don't have any animal shelters is kind of weird. For a humane society, they should have shelters to help find loving homes for abandoned/abused animals. But that is just my opinion. I just think there is something fishy about the HSUS...but I do love Wolfgang Puck! (Another opinion of mine.)

  • (continued) Eventually, there won't be any food for other herbivores. Fewer herbivores = Fewer carnivores. And soon, no animals left at all. I believe hunting is a good way to ensure a future for all animals.

  • SaturdayNightLiveFan: "Eventually, there won't be any food for other herbivores. Fewer herbivores = Fewer carnivores. And soon, no animals left at all." I don't think you understand what goes into bringing meat onto the table. There are vast amounts of food grown to feed these farmed animals, not to mention great amounts of fresh water wasted on them.

  • @ SaturdayNightLiveFan (cont.) Food wasted in the process of conversion from-- Animal Feedcrop-> Farmed Animal-> Meat on the table is at best 6 calories wasted for every calorie the meat contains.

  • OMG!!! i know him....or new him....my aunt is his ex wife's personal assistant (she's been since they were married) and i used to go to work with her and i played with their son Byran.

  • It is good to see a chef take the stand against factory farming and I do appreciate it - but as a vegan and a healthy one at that - I would like to see Chef promote a totally cruelty free way of life - because at the end of the day - free ranged animals at the end do suffer in the process of transportation and slaughter.

  • vegetable..."veah-jeah-deah-bow" love this guy

  • Scary Movie 2 Gross dinner scene has the real Wolfgang Puck's way of cooking. With his extra-special touch!

  • wolfgang puck is disgusting. He sticks his fingers in the food he is cooking and then licks them. Then he proceeds to touch the food he is cooking with the same contaminated fingers. I am sure his saliva is organic.

  • Wayne's right! Wolfgang's philosophy is innovative, precident setting and path breaking! I live in the Dallas area and am so excited to be able to use this video to show to other chefs so they will hopefully change sides and go 'cruelty free'! :)

  • Getting information from HSUS are Farm Sanctuary is accurate -- fact based. Comparing that to the mass distraction/distortion of the Bush admin is utter crap. The Bush admin's utterances are not based in fact, they're based on a lie repeated over and over again. HSUS has scientists and veterinarians, many at major universities, researching the treatment of farmed animals in factory farms. It's systemic evil and it's destroying our environment.

  • Just because the mass distraction/distortion's coming from the animal rights groups are what you want to hear doesn't make them true. The Bush admin. has plenty of scientists too, so does the tobacco lobby. Have you ever taken into account the enviromental harm caused by a unnatural vegan lifestyle? How much fossil-fuel is spent bringing you leafy greens in winter? And what is "the new humanity"? Seems to me that we're on a backslide.

  • Have you been to a factory farm lately here in the US? Smelled the stench of the chicken warehouse ruining the environment in the south? Tested the arsenic levelsin the chicken, the ecoli in the cow meat? Since you're in Belize, why are you even commenting? In the US 1/4 of all college students are now requesting vegan food -- more and more will follow. To me, the new humanity are people who don't want to eat beings. Simple.

  • @veganoflight there would not be any beings had it not been for our terrible monster like behavior of eating other animals. We are omnivores, we eat anything eatable, that's our nature scientifically and if you spiritual the way god created us. To deny this is like saying I think I'll act like a bumble bee to today and do what bumble bees do. That's what vegans sound like to me. A goofy loony toon! Unconformtable with being human and with earth. Your space ship has landed go and get on itLOL

  • @jmitterii2 there is something called evolution, the first humans were barbarians, they raped and pillaged to get where we are today, does that mean that to be "Human" we must continue to rape and pillage?

  • @wildchildpt Your philosophical view is the same as me telling you to stop raping and pilleging plants. You evil person who rapes them straberries with your cannine teeth and grind them with your molars. And for god sake don't pick carrots you're eating the entire plant now! And the lettuce and cucumbers you slice and dice, torcher! And did you know some plants are still living just before you eat or cook them? Yeah evolution didn't change the fact we're still omnivores.

  • @jmitterii2 I am sorry if you see a carrot or strawberry as the same as a rabbit, cat, dog, cow etc there is a big difference between a sentient being and non sentient beings, and not being able to see this just shows that some people are more evolved than others.

If eating meat is so natural then why are there so many health problems related to eating animals? when somebody is diagnosed with diabetes, heart problems, cancers etc, not many doctors will recomend to eat more meats... just saying

  • @veganoflight Yeah... you're sure to go far with your opinion when you side with "vegans." Must be why you've been rated up 5 times in the past 4 years. Your ways, as well as "1/4 of all college students" is sure catching on. Who gives a fuck what college students are doing? Are you that blinded by your own beliefs that you're willing to try and grasp whatever you can, even if it's the whims of such flakes as 20-something year old college under-graduates? Pathetic.

  • @veganoflight Btw, you aren't even 'responding' to anyone. Try learning how to use a fucking computer before you even attempt at understanding something as complex as 'natural phenomenon.' This is why people look down on 'Vegans,' because 99% of you are condescending, ignorant bullshitters who try to talk down to everyone imaginable because you feel that "YOUR" way is 'right.' You're all pricks, and you'll never get anywhere in the real world with your approach.

  • Also, getting your information on farming from HSUS, Farm Sanctuary, or PETA is intellectually equal to getting Iraq info from Dick Cheney.

  • I get my information first hand. Factory farms are filthy hellholes that make you sick from just breathing the air. And you're a fool to think otherwise.

  • Organic food and free range meat are great, but demonising American foie gras producers for cheap publicity is not cool. The real issue here is Wolfie's crappy pizza joints haven't been hot since the 80's and by throwing some of the most humane family farmers in the country under the bus he can keep selling his nasty, processed, nitrate filled canned soups and frozen pizza.

  • They demonize themselves.

  • Bravo for your outreach, Wolfgang! The more folks that address these inhumane actions, the quicker those without voices reap the benes!

  • Dear Wayne and Wolfgang,

If you were vegan you'd know this:

The fork is most powerful when applied to vegetables.

  • Wayne is vegan.

  • Yes, I know. He is friend of mine, but he did say that Wolfgang's philosophy is innovative, precident setting and path breaking.

  • Good! I am happy. This is very important for the new humanity to put a face on the plate and to support this type of action.

  • I found this video on the HSUS website. This was their intiative. Check out the site for some very good info on this topic. Kick, scream, whine and cry foul if you will, all those of you who prefer to remain ignorant on the horrors of factory farming and slaughterhouse operations.

Thank you Mr. Puck, this is wonderful news.

  • His restaurants were always the best-- and now they're even better! Thank you Wolfgang Puck!

  • This is soooo much the right thing. If people still feel like this is too PC then let them get their own animals and torture them themselves instead of hiring corporations to torture them for them.

  • Oh boy, menu by PETA! Tell me I'm cruel for owning a dog! Legislate my lunch! Bourdain, please have something to say about this.

  • PETA would not tell you that you're cruel for having a campanion animal such as a dog. If you mistreat that dog then theres a problem. Otherwise it is an excellent example of a wonderful human- animal relationship. My question to you is what makes it alright to treat certain animals, such as the clips shown in this post, so horribly while you nurture and love your pet? What you eat is up to you but it is surely not too much to ask for you to consider how your food reached your plate.

  • PETA had NOTHING to do with this. This was accomplished by education provided by Farm Sanctuary-- an organization that only partakes in LEGAL practices. Farm Sanctuary is just fighting for more humane treatment of farm animals, which is something any human being with a soul should want.

  • This is not PETA. It's The Humane Society of the United States.
