  • Has this something to do with Amiga's B.C. KID? The heroe looks exactly the same, and the same goes to the dinosaur-like monster in the background.

Althouh this is the first time I hear about Super Bonk, I can tell B.C. Kid had some great music there! Take note SupraDarky :P

  • @MrSolracvstheWorld Bonk's adventure was ported to the Amiga where it was called BC Kid. But it was originally a Turbo grafix 16 game.

  • @andyukmonkey I didn't have any idea about this...! Thank's for the information! Credits to you!

  • "Twilight Spa--"

    TWILIGHT SPARKLE!

    "...ce"

Oh. ...Damn it, the ponies are possessing meeeeee!

  • Woooooooooo! It's Bonk bitches!

  • Seriously YouTube? Reactions? What the fuck?

I would rant more but I'm blinded by the nostalgia.

  • Everyone is just foaming at the mouth for HD, Orchestrated tracks, etc.

People bitch at me for watching videos in 240p-360p. I honestly DON'T understand this modern craze.

Orchestrated tracks are cool for games that would match the intended aesthetics, and I don't blatantly ''hate'' orchestrated music, I just don't get why a lot of my friends want every game coming out now to have it.

''this game is crisp on my new monitor'' I really don't give a damn, CRT's are fine with me.

    Just my opinion

  • @EturnusFrost I can agree. Maybe RPG music it can sound beautiful orchestrated but honestly for say Sonic and Mario remixes, I prefer the classic 16 bit sounds over the orchestrals. Not to say they're bad, just, you don't have to have them.

At the same time we have the whole classic 8 bit retro thing but it's being done so often it's not all that retro anymore. If we really want to revive classic style, try N64, PS1 style. NOBODY has yet to emulate that classic look and vibe.

  • i remember a time where video game OSTs were innovative, like this, and stuck with you. today, video games have their own orchestra team, same team Michael Bay uses for all his movies. a time where video games used to be video games, and not action movies.

video games should really revisit this method of gaming sometime.

  • @outlawstarr417 Play Super Meat Boy.

  • @outlawstarr417 Not every modern game has its own orchestra and not all of them are trying to be action movies. Stop generalizing.

  • @outlawstarr417

That is a terrible point. You really should listen to some Super Mario Galaxy music, having an orchestra takes nothing away from the OST of a video game.

  • killa!

  • Again Supra, you invite me to tunes I haven't heard before. I did play this, though on emulator, because I never saw this when I was a kid.

This song I find to be rather interesting. It's starts a little empty and gradually gets into this full blown tune that keeps getting better as the song progresses. Sigh, I really do miss these days. I will always love the improved full musical scores with today's games but I still love listening to the old, but great and simplistic tracks of yesteryear. :)

  • About time you posted this awesome song. I love it. :D

  • AwEsOmE SaUcE DuDe!

  • Super Bonk Galaxy?

  • SNES games have the best music in my opinion.

  • 0:37 is when it gets really good.

  • this one is great :)

  • This guy could kick Milon's ass! XD

  • @TuxedoRay Ha-ha! I'm sure that if Bonk and Milon were paired up in a 'Who's Better' dispute, Bonk would definitely win.

  • @JeterSwisherFan88 Indeed. same goes with the music as well. XD

  • Am I hearing some chiptune stuff thrown in there? I didn't know that SNES games ever really did that.

  • @VGKing It's just a square wave or two, the SNES is definitely capable of 8-bit samples (or at least emulating them). I'm not too sure how it works though since the SNES's sound engine is sample based unlike the NES or Genesis

  • This takes me back to the latter half of 3rd grade (1995-96) and I used to play this game on Friday nights quite a lot :D

  • I was really hoping for this, awesome. There's also a pretty decent mix featuring the scout from Team Fortress 2.

  • @Sephiko link?

  • @DethFan333

    watch?v=1WXi-IZSZqc

  • This song is legit

  • The music in this game was all over the place and random. Kinda like the game itself. They must have had a lot of fun making it.

  • how the hell do you know SO many games??

  • 'Co

  • FIRST.... to say that this is an awesome song. :)

Love your list Darky, keep up the good work. :D

  • My favorite theme in this game, which plays during the last stage if my memory serves me right. The game itself was your usual SNES platformer, I know it's on the Wii VC. When I saw the boxart as a kid I thought the hero was Krillin from Dragon Ball Z!

  • @SupraDarky

It was actually the beginning of Stage 5 (there were six stages in the game).

  • @SupraDarky Yeah, me and my brother thought that was Krillin too ^^. Through the game we never call'd him bonk, always Krillin!

  • @SupraDarky lol that reminds me of how my friend thought there was a Yoshi game on PS1 when I was little. We had this big argument and it turns out it was actually Croc! There was also the time where my cousin thought Batman was in F-Zero GX but it was just Black Shadow :P

  • @SupraDarky As soon as I saw this, I thought the hero looked just like Krillin too.
