Yet no other first world country requires guns to keep their government working for them. The guns in the US clearly cause a higher homicide rate. @gopalakartik Also, by that logic, people have been suppressing adequate sex education which has certainly not lowered the STD rate nor the rate of teen pregnancy nor the number of abortions. Stopping people from having access to something (in this case sex ed, condoms, etc...) has done nothing to actually solve the problem. What we need is a better education system, a higher minimum wage and benefits/work schedules more in line with Western Europe's model which is far superior.
@starofinanna Your example of sex ed and condoms are not analogous to gun control; one compares the negative aspect of access and the other is the negative aspect of lack of access. There is no effort to directly PREVENT sex as they would PREVENT guns in the analogous situation. If they were directly stopping people from having sex and there was no change in STD rate, then you would have a point, albeit a weak one. You cannot centre an argument on a false analogy and expect it to hold water.

Everyone interprets things differently but there are people who believe that it is not only their right but their duty to band together in case they are needed by their country (for various reasons). Stopping people from having access to something (in this case sex ed, condoms, etc...) has done nothing to actually solve the problem. What we need is a better education system, a higher minimum wage and benefits/work schedules more in line with Western Europe's model which is far superior.

There is no effort to directly PREVENT sex as they would PREVENT guns in the analogous situation. If they were directly stopping people from having sex and there was no change in STD rate, then you would have a point, albeit a weak one. You cannot centre an argument on a false analogy and expect it to hold water.

We need theories like this to keep our rights, especially our gun rights. True or not, Belief in these theories isnt gonna do anything but help to preserve our rights as american citizens. Thing are never as bad or as good as we think. I follow alot of this stuff and most of it is speculations. They could never disarm the people. The constitution is a way of thinking and The Bill of Rights is a life style. Freedom is like the air we breath. A drowning person will drown anyone who is in arms reach. Fear goes both ways. Sense we are all Americans, Tyranny would weld us together with a welding fury, second to none. I dont worry much about that stuff anymore. I'm watching though.

If you watch Beck you might recall that a few days after he said that, he did debunk the FEMA camps, so this video is a deliberate lie to take his words out of context. This leads me to believe the rest of it was out of context as well.

Fox News websites have also posted information and publicity material for protests. Fox News hosts have repeatedly encouraged viewers to join them at several April 15 protests that they are attending and covering.

Its about rating. Each of these large media outlets have very large departments that employ sociologist and physiologist and their job is to track data and spin the news. This includes the copy, right down to the music that is used to create the rubber necking effect.
