here is a really good thing to do as a spy IDENTITY THEFT! after killing an enemy take their identity works a lot

@I3lackelite Used the internal "demo recorder" that is included with all Half-Life 2 engine products, extracted raw video from that, and snipped it together with VirtualDub.

when using dead ringer i use spy disguise or pyro but when im using cload and dagger i use pyro

@laurynasman Yeah, I do that sometimes also. But during this specific round there was only one demo on the enemy team, so I had the opportunity.

the stupid thing of the dead ringer is that you scream the same way than the enemy you are disguised as when you get killed.

that instantly tells that you are wearing the dead ringer

It depends on the context, I suppose.. but you have to make sure it's out (right mouse button) when you're being attacked. It's not on-demand like the other two watches.

Only a minute in, but I do want to make a comment. The "always check behind yourself" can be a good and bad thing to do. When I notice a "teammate" looking back constantly, I instantly spycheck him. Yes, I am that paranoid, but mainly because I major as a Spy. Only reason a teammate should check behind himself is if he is dying from a Spy constantly.

Not to toot my own horn, but I did do a fairly decent job of making the enemy team paranoid.. whenever I play any class, I am -constantly- looking behind myself while moving to the front line. I guess it's a personal thing. P:

I do it too. But being a Spy as my main, I guess that has made me paranoid to the point that I think a Spy is after me all the time.

you should seriously think about changing your disguise every once and awhile. You know. Mix things up a bit. Make it less obvious who's a spy.

I can't tell whether you were good or bad, but the other players in that server were idiots. How many snipers were there? Why did nobody look behind them to check for a DR spy?

Also, if you're going to comment, use proper comments, not those horrible youtube annotations.

I find the youtube annotations are easy to edit and add on to when the urge comes up, rather than having to reupload the entire video.

Additionally, this is just me uploading my very first video.. I was just trying out an idea. The commentary is optional.

Also, this section of pl_Hoodoo is very apt for a spy, as there are many underused travel routes that you can take in order to not bump into enemies.

Don't forget about disguising yourself as a friendly team member. The dead ringer makes this extra useful. Make yourself look like a pyro and then the enemy team will get all excited when they kill you and drop their guard :D

Enemies drop their guard almost immediately when combat starts with other enemies. I find it's not worth the effort of disguising as a friendly player, personally speaking.
