Indeed it is fine to make fun of another cultures, but do you have any idea how much they know of English or other languages (they do Italians and Asians too)? I think it's very difficult to make comedy that laughs at other cultures because they must understand pretty much about those cultures, otherwise it cannot be professional... It can be funny when viewers can find realities in the exaggerated descriptions.
Hmm, I think it can't be helped that many people in the world misunderstand other cultures. One of my Canadian friends showed me one " funny commedy" clip which is like Chinese Kungfu and Japanese Karate mixed and the commedian was screaming.
Karate is totally different from Jackey Chen style Kungfu though.
It's sad but I think it will take long time for people to understand other cultures.

Well, I don't think it's racist either, but I can see how someone would find it to be racist. Though not targeting a pacific ethnic groups in America it does show a lack of learning of Japanese within the US. For many Japanese they think that Americans are unable to learn Japanese language skills or culture in the US. That our teaching methods are flawed. Plus that they say curse words constantly in the sketch might be taken as a stereotype.
