  • so this is what Jesus listens to!

  • @MrUlquiorraCifer1 could be. After all, He hung out with whores, thieves and tax collectors. And He was know to occassionally converse with Satan. I'd be more concerned if He listened to the The Rolling Stones.

  • Old School disciple still awesome

  • this is my fav song right now. This, and laura story Blessings. not much in common, huh? Or is there?! This is a great song to lift weights to.

  • AWESOME video!!! Love the song too!!! These guys are truly blessed:))) Keep ROCKIN' for the ROCK, Christ Jesus+++

  • LOL no hotel furniture was damaged during the making of this video...i can see why your worried about it!!

  • @greivous45 We really messed up the room but nothing got broke & we put it back together when we were done. The president of their record label at the time left a very nice tip for the house keeper.

  • Kevin = Jesus Freak

  • @bmttiger09 I think Kevin would take it as a compliment. Is that how you meant it?

  • @Jakeman3 Yes it is. God has blessed Kevin and his band members so much. I saw them perform this past summer and it was epic!

  • So Disciple came to play a show @ our church in Oct. 2009 and it was off the hook. they wanted to go see cage fighting in town that night so I got to haul them around and hang out with them.very humble, down to earth guys.too bad that Kevin is the only founding member in the band

  • @billyjustice1 "Cage fighting" you say? If that's true it appears the guys are more of this world then they should be. Attending a cage fight seems very much like a rock star thing to do. Beating up another person & bragging about it isn't the kind of behavior to encourage or support. WWJD?

  • @Jakeman3 It's a sport man, even football players get hurt, along with basketball players.

  • @tnpbass22 It's not about getting hurt. It's about intentionally hurting someone. Beating them until they can't defend themselves or even stand up is not sport. That's unadulterated violence. Just because it's legal doesn't make it all right. You'd be arrested & procecuted if you did it in the streets.

Once again I remind readers...we are to live in the world not of the world. I hope you're never beaten to the point your brain doesn't function correctly. Also, do unto others. You know the rest.

  • @Jakeman3 They dont get beaten till their brains don't function, there are rules and regulations that protect the fighter. Even with football, what's the point of tackling? You're seeking to nullify the opposition totally, it's a professional sport, just like MMA bro. I totally get not wanting to support violence, but it's a sport, the competetors don't seek to "kill" each other man.

  • @tnpbass22 NASCAR is a sport (of sorts). It's also professional with lots of rules, regulations & safety gear. No one intends to kill or hurt other drivers but it happens all the time. Football players have helmets to protect their heads & brains. Fighters got nothin'. One good slug (however unintentional) to the temple & a person could be hurt for life or dead. It happens to pro boxer. I have to ask....what are you trying to prove or who are you trying to impress?

  • @Jakeman3 Proving that MMA isn't bad lol. And yea you made the same point I did, and by the way cage fighters have protection too. There is the ref for one, mouth guard, hand protection, foot and knee protection(which is optional) I'm proving that it's a legitimate sport lol

  • Not right? Something is off? Perverseness? Please explian.

  • Something seems not right about this, something is off. There is a perverseness in this.

  • @sk8productions1000 im with ya dude

  • I know right. Some people say christian music is so boring and not "fun". Well christian music is the best music ever. It actually has a message more than just random lyrics on a sheet of paper. Christian music I think is more than just lyrics.

  • This has to be the one of the most humble songs I've heard

  • @sk8productions1000 How true little Bro, how true. If one can't (or won't) control what comes OUT of their mouth you have to wonder what they allow IN their eyes & ears. Do 4 letter words & a foul disposition add to ones "street cred"? If so, maybe you should question that life style & those choices. "Low class" behavior comes in all colors, education & income levels. I know we're not all strong enought to be leaders but don't be so weak you allow others to drag you in their filth.

  • Would love to play a show with these guys someday just because they seem so ridiculously funny. xD Plus their music is pretty good too... y'know... that might be part of it.

  • wow! This song is A-MA-ZING

  • inside scoop... We stopped for lunch at a sandwich shop. While there a cop car pulled in with 2 officers. Kevin knew them & talked them into doing the "arrested" scene. I grabbed the camera & we all headed to the back of the shop near the trash cans. After 10 minutes of impromptu shooting we had what we needed. Gotta love the cops in small towns. Thank you for your service gentlemen.

  • They had WAY to much fun making this vid. XD Love it all! Song, vid, and meaning! Amen!

  • if you say so. I haven't seen them for almost 10 years. Regardless of how their music may have changed, the important thing is the message. If they're still trying to introduce their audience to Jesus then their still on point.

  • man this band was great, they rule but now...

believe or not ,now they are other emo core band ,no joke

  • @MetallicAwwf316 sorry but that not true whats so ever you apparently dont know what emo really is

  • great video and an even greater song/band

  • Kevin's hair is soooo long. I've never seen a guy with hair that long before. He looks so different then compared to now.

But they are still playing great Christian rock music.

  • @CarterAbbyLove there was a time that long hair was a manditory requirement for rock music. Especially Metal. You were considered out of uniform if it wasn't at least shoulder length. Now-a-days, any length, any color or any shape is an exceptable part of the uniform.

  • @Jakeman3 ya, true. even baldy Ian Scott had hair on his head then. lol

  • @BoundInChains You mean Scott Ian?

  • @bagelguy520 sorry, ya, scott ian LOL

  • @CarterAbbyLove

    lol

check out the thrash metal bands of the 80's and 90's.. the dudes of that time had longer hair :D

  • These christians may not be rock stars but they sure play like it.

  • @18Dmar1 they can rock with the best of them but they're really quite humble. At least they were the last time I worked with them.

  • first time ever seeing christian metal

  • @TangerineGroovin Where have you been, TG?

R U one of those home schooled Christain kids whos parents didn't allow to watch TV or listen to the radio?

  • @Jakeman3 HAHA!!! I was one of those home-schooled kids... Growing up the "hardest" stuff my brother & I could listen to was Carman. LUCKLY that all changed at 17 when I saw SKILLET live.

  • @Matie83 skillet is so awesome they really know how to praise god

  • @SKILLETisAWESOME100 Skillet was awesome until the sold out into the mainstream their music is still awesome but they are not praising the Lord the way they use to

  • Love it!

  • Super oold school Disciple! I love it, though, Back Again is their best CD. :p

  • *** "NOT OF THIS WORLD"...NEITHER AM I...THNX FOR THE MUSIC & ENERGY & HOPE....FROM "EARTHALIEN 77"

  • i like songs like these but always the stuff about god and shit? its getting bored and old

  • @sk8te182 Hello Belgium. Welcome to American Christian rock. Theses guys love God & Jesus & share that with their fans, just as Gangster Rap artist do. It appears you're not yet open to Disciple's message. It's all about choices & consequences. Disciple's message won't lead you to jail, drugs, violence, dead friends or family in the streets, self destruction. Their message DOES contain milleniums of wisdom. I hope you're not open to the message of gangster rap & its pain. Choose well friend.

  • @Jakeman3 and now you're being a stereotypical piece of shit, referring to all rap as "gangster rap" and how bad its messages are. i swear to the god that's not there, all christians are the same

  • @nadesNspades Not at all. I know not all rap is Gangster. I'm only pointing out that Gangster rap romances & encourages all those negative issues. Bragging about killing cops & beating bitches can't be good for anyone. Let's take God out of the argument and assume your sister or daughter was one of the women being screwed & beat by any guy who thinks she's" just asking for it". How would you feel? Would you care? Or are you fine with it? The Gangster life ain't good for civilized people.

  • @nadesNspades when did he say all rap is Gangster rap?

  • @Jakeman3 great insight and message brother it is sad we have to share this message to those who dont believe and seem to hate us so.Maybeyour style of reply will win a soul for THE ROCK God Bless you brother

  • @ogmetalhead Thanks ogmetalhead. I learned a LONG time ago you can't change a mind or open a heart with an argument. Have you ever heard anyone after a screaming match say, "You know, he's right. What an idiot I've been". Most of the time the best I can hope for is to plant a seed & hope it takes root. Sharing the message with them isn't sad. It's our duty. Aren't we supposed to share "the Word"? The sad part is they don't get it. Most people fear & hate what they don't understand.

  • @sk8te182 open your mind freind

  • @sk8te182 God is about as far away from boring as you can get, my friend!!! Open your mind and your heart and you'll see just how amazing He truly is! That He would send His only son to die for us is astounding in and of itself, but to also show us such mercy and grace and beauty when we, the depraved and sinful murderous, salacious fiends, don't deserve it...it leaves me speechless...the "reckless, raging fury that they call the love of God!" Praise Adonai, Praise God, Thank You Jesus Christ!

  • I'm gonna see these guys on Friday!!! CAN'T WAIT!!! Of course I'll prob'ly wear my Chargers Jersey in case they're wearin' Raiders gear...We can't have one without the other!!

Keep up the good work guy!! Great camera work and video BTW.

  • O clipe do dia!

  • i wish Disciple made their new songs with lyrics like this

  • awesome awesome awesome awesome!

  • @drakgrotta I thank you for my part (cameraman & editor) and I'm sure Disciple thanks you too.

  • epics.

  • They look like they have so much fun.

  • @healersayain13 it WAS a lot of fun but a lot of hard work too and a fair bit of traveling (Knoxville, TN, Nashville, TN, Phoenix, AZ, and somewhere in Georgia (I think Atlanta -it all gets blurry after a while.). Oh yeah...... it was fun.

  • Sweet..... this says it all..... thanks!!!

  • GOD BLESS THIS AWESOME BAND!!!!

    Best video!

  • omgoodness! I LOVE THIS SONG!! It's hard drivin music with it's strong message!

  • @evangelist777 I disagree, but that's just my opinion. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'm not judging, they are awesome. I just simply don't like their look anymore.

  • This is a pivotal song. I hope their newest album coming out on the 27th will have a pivotal song on it. I love the music, but darn it why do they have to look so weird now? They looked cool back in the day. Now they look like they're trying to look like today's emo rock bands... it's kind of messed up. Ever since they released their self titled album they've had a weird look about them. They need to go back to how they looked on Back Again, or find something new that isn't emo-ish.

  • @eyeoftheram Have you let them know what you think?

Try posting your message on FaceBook . facebook.com/home.php?#!/disciplerocks

  • @Jakeman3 You really think they'll respond?

  • @eyeoftheram Ya never know unless you try. I know they read everything.

The worst that can happen is they ignore you & delete your comment.

Who knows, maybe a whole lot of people will agree with you.

Don't expect them to change they're appearence but maybe you can plant seed.

I would suggest you be very positive. No one likes to be called weird or messed up.

  • @Jakeman3 I agree and I took your advice. But no reply yet, chances are they are too busy right now.

  • i love this band!

  • dude i went and saw these guys about a monthago and i promise if your into the heavy stuff they did, then you will not be disapointed in their new C/D coming out this summer

  • This ROCK

    2 GOD B The GLORY....

  • i love this video

  • great band!

  • lol at 3:01

  • God gives people talent, and people have the choice to use it right or wrong. These guys have been using for God, prasing the Lord and speading his word, every chance they get. People have gotten saved at there shows. Now tell me theres no God in that.

  • Their fall? What are you saying?

  • hahaha fall ??!!! YA RIGHT!!!! haaa they only get more awesome every single day.....God is BLESSING these guys for sho!

  • @armortron HATER!!!!

  • All i was saying was that they shoulda stuck with the hard and heavy stuff instead of going all ballady and goth and grunge and what ever else.

  • Nah..armorton is no hater. I dig what he says. I like their old stuff. But they've been thru a lot of changes the past few years. They changed record labels, Joey took over on bass, Kevin moved to frontman/vocals, Brad left & 2 guitarist replaced him. If you've ever been in a band you'd know all those new people are going to influence the music. The new music will reflect it. I'd say the fact they're still togehter is a testament to their strength. They've grown, try to grow with them.

  • @Jakeman3 Yeah i know what you mean, i like all their albums except their new one.. it just seems like they lost all the energy they had :s

  • The painted faces at 3:13 are so lovely...

Disciple are rock stars- but I think every disciple of Jesus Christ is sort of a rock star...

  • They wanted to "mock" Kiss. That scene should have been shot before they worked up a sweat. But it was the last scene we shot & we had trouble getting the make up to stick or stay where we put it. It took longer to get them in make up then it took to shoot. One take was all we could get before their faces slid down to their chest.

  • the "kick butt" poster in the background. epic

  • it just happened to be there.

  • "Not of this world" they sing, but why does it seem like they are of this world? I find that a compelling argument for all the folks trying to attract the lost. The Word is sufficient Alone. That's not of this world.

  • I don't mean to speak for the band but I'm pretty sure "Not of this world" means they don't get involved with the worldly crap (drugs, & other intoxicants, sex out of marriage ect) that is ungodly & often times ruins lives. They also work at staying humble in spite of their talent & popularity. I spent time on the road with them. There were no demands for the best motels or gormet food. They drove a funky van & ate at Subway. The Word IS sufficient but so many have turned away from it.

  • not of this world is what Jesus said. he wasn't of this world he was of heaven. he tells us not to store up treasure on this earth because our lives are so short, and that we should store up treasure in heaven because thats where eternity is and moth and rust don't destroy anything like it does here on earth.

  • @ Jackman3 - Well said.

@ jimfly2 - Disciple plays rock music (unless u think rock music is of this world), and ppl r attracted to the style of music they play. They go out into the world and meet ppl (the concert goers) where they r and spread the news of the gospel (thru their music). Isnt that what we r called to do as disciple of Christ? Didnt Jesus did just that, met the ppl where they were? These guys have ministered to me more than some pastors have!

  • I LOVE THIS BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this was like 2 or 3 years before ff5's first cd

  • Ok no joke, I don't think they did it intentially but the guitar part in Family Force 5's song 'Earthquake' sounds ALOT like this song

  • this song was made before so its the other way around at least even if it was the same

  • Is this christian music

  • It is different then traditional Christian music. But just like traditional Christian music the stories & lyrics are about the power & love of Jesus. In my opinion, musicians work with the style of music that moves & motivates them. I have no doubt that Disciple has influenced millions of people. I've been to their concerts. I've seen lots of kids accept Christ. I'd say YES, this is Christian music for people who are moved by hard rock music.

  • all types of music can be christian u gotta know about the members, lyrics, band and then you would know

  • it's worship

  • Jes it is

  • Is this THE christian disciple

  • Hello from Los Angeles, California, USA.

I'm not exactly sure what your question means.

  • They trully are annonted with the Holy Spirit, and I wish that more bands would have this kind of thinking!

  • yea i agree i feel great after listening to them , cant get that with every bad :o

  • i agree to!

  • How long have they been around?

  • Since 1992. Check their Bio

    disciplerocks(dot) com

  • servants of the most high, not rock stars!!! great mission and great band!!! metal blessings and god bless!!!

  • Seen these guys a few years ago with another cool band called the 7 method.

    BOTH were great live!

  • Wow, I loovveee this song! What album is it off of?? xD

    I must get it

  • You'll find it on their "By God" CD

  • Ohh ok! Thanks!

    This is awesome

  • check out their website

    disciplerocks(dot) com

  • I LUV DISCIPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is the singer still the same now? or was his hair just longer back then

  • Yep. Same guy. Kevin Young.

His hair used to be almost waist length.

  • His hair was just longer

  • dude, disciple is the best all time band ever, but they are NOT metal thet are hard rock....

  • Comment removed

  • yes

  • Based on the fact that none of your videos are band related and that you are bragging about your band before you're even signed, I'd say no.

  • One of the BEST metal bands EVER!

  • Skillet... These guys... TFK... amazing choice for the comatose tour :)

  • they're playing at my school soon! I'm pregaming in my dorm right now!

  • wow lucky!

  • noooooooo wayyyyyyy T.T

  • I wish they would play at my school...

  • this is old...but so ROCKIN!!! Disciple Rocks!

  • 2 in a row call it "old".

How 'bout we call it vintage?

  • yeah. it is more cool and more proper to call it vintage because disciple never gets old. :D

  • this is sooo old

  • Dude, Disciple ROCK!!! LOVE there Sound..

    Keep Rockin for GOD!!!!

  • Haha the part withe the corpse paint!

  • That's not corpse paint.

    They're spoofing KISS

  • Yeah but technically KISS wore corpse paint. I mean thats what it is. Anyways thanks for all this footage its great man!

  • I don't know where KISS gets their make-up but we got ours from a theater make-up supplier. Unfortunately, the guys were all sweaty when we tried to apply it. We didn't have time to wait for them to cool down so we did the best we could. You'll notice there are no close up shots of them in make-up. We should have shot the KISS spoof before they worked up a sweat. Also, take LOTS of paper towels & cold cream when you plan to use heavy make-up. Live & learn, right?

  • Great job on this video! Love the older footage of Disciple back in the day...the band is great now, but I loved them as a 3 piece.

  • What with the dog at 1:27 ? LOLOLOLOL

  • I can't recall the dog's name but he belongs to Brad (guitarist).

Pause the video at 1:25 (band members at the top of stairs) . The dog is next to Brad. Then again at 2:30. The dog is sitting at Brad's left side. We just thought it would be cool to stick the dog in the video.

  • LOL That is AMAZING!!!! I have been a fan of these guys ever since I started listening to music and the dog just makes it that much better!!!!

  • disciple rockt!

  • Thanks

  • LOL! kevin looks SOOO different! when was this made?

  • I shot & edited "Not Rock Stars" in 2001. They had just released their CD, "My God".

Footage was shot in Knoxville and Nashville, TN, Atlanta, GA, Phoenix, AZ and on the road for "72 Hours With Disciple".

  • love the song, the video.. disciple is my favorite band

  • Yeah mine 2

  • great song, great video and awesome band!! 5 stars! :D

  • wow ke buena

  • dude are you retarded to post this on here?

  • Classic Disciple!

  • The new guys names are Micah, Andrew and Israel. I saw them in concert last week and they still rock hard without brad even tho it's sad to see him gone.

  • OOPS! Knoxville, Tennessee. I guess I assumed everyone would connect Knoxville with TN.

Maybe that's a kin to the Simpsons living in Springfield. There's a Springfield in each of the lower 48 states and the writers have never said which one the Simpsons are from.

Seems the moral here is to never assume.

  • You know what they say to assuming....lol. Awesome video man.

  • wow that was really funny..

the best part was at 1:29 ... I was laughing so hard.. and then 3:14 was rather funny as well..... nice video..

    I love Disciple

  • I shot & edited that one. We had a lot of fun.

The pool scene was shot at a friend of a friend of a friend's house. The "Kiss" shot was after a hot & sweaty concert. The make up wouldn't stick to their wet faces. Glad you enjoyed it.

All the bands (except Spark & Everybody Duck) were from the Knoxville area. Spark was from the Dayton, OH. area and Everybody Duck was from Phoenix, AZ.

  • knoxville, Illinois? (I'm guessing not.. but if it is that's cool.. I know people from that town)

  • Amazing band. So straightforward and rockin. Makes me proud to be a metalhead. :D

  • What CD is this off of?

  • BY GOD released in 2000 on Rugged Records

  • omg

    they have changed sooo much

    lol

they look funny i this video

  • Brad left the band. Joey was the bassist but he left to. Now it is Kevin Young, Tim Barrett, and now some guitarist named Micah. He is good. he played at the concert I went to. I got all their signatures
