  • Good job buddy!!

  • My Dad and Brother were both truck drivers for alot of years,Irregardless of what people say TRUCK DRIVERS ARE THE BACK BONE OF THE COUNTRY! Almost if not everything that people have in their homes was delivered by a truck,SO GODBLESS ALL YOU TRUCKERS OUT THERE!

  • @MrDave4464 100 % agreement to that ! People who talk about trains should maybe check out the percentage of transport destinations that do not have railway tracks nearby. friggin morons......

  • My Dad was a trucker and i didn't really know much about him as a kid, but I did know this, he loved my sister and me dearly. When I see this movie it reminds me of him and the crazy shit I used to hear he would do, naturally I became a driver, and DAM PROUD of it. I have 2 kids 1 of them is a boy,and I hope 1 day if he does decide to follow my dads and my footsteps we can both HAMMER DOWN side by side. Thank you for a wonderful tribute to truckers, they have supplied so much more than we know.

    Daddy-Doo I love you.

  • I might be a trucker when I grow older, driving an 18 wheeler around the country sounds great. And I practically never sleep, so that wouldn't bother me.

  • @coopercrue I am a truck driver and have been for 10 years, I don't know where you heard that we don't sleep but if you do start driving a truck you'll soon realize that there is no load that is worth falling asleep at the wheel for.

  • @doboy340 its, i am on the road over20 years..bye the way great job with this video..

  • @doboy340 its right what you say, i am on the road over20 years..hay from europ to all truckers, theyr kids, and all truck fans..bye the way great job with this video..

  • when i was a kid growing up, the two movies that were my favourites are, CONVOY and of course, SMOKEY & THE BANDIT. These two movies are still great even today. I have both of them on DVD. R.I.P JERRY REED.

  • Yes very cool, great to hear again.

  • Would it be too much to ask for you Truckers to stay the fuck out of the left lane when you're doing 71 mph and your butt buddy is in the right lane doing 70 mph.

  • Fatboy says thanks Chris for this tribute. Not many people appreciate us old road dogs or have any idea what we are about or what we do...

  • @EagleIronClaw well this family here does Fatboy Chris.

  • This was the best 6yrs of my life driving them rigs watching this makes me miss the road. I remembered watching Smokey and The Bandit and Always wanted to be Snow Man. R.i.P Snow Man Hammer Down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome job Chris. You should do one for Convoy next that would be excellent. Good work my friend.

  • @01kreepmortis is it fun bein a trucker??

  • Really nice piece, here Chris. My dad used to drive a tractor-trailer back when my grandpa toured his show cars back...well, around the same time when Smokey and the Bandit first came out. The fire for the open highway still burns within him.

  • what can i say, smokey and the bandit the best.

  • I would like to thank all the truckers everywhere for all the stuff that I own.

  • Love this movie. Im in on I and II out on III. ALABAMA is hands down the greatest music group of all time!! and i listen to a variety of music. NO one else comes close.

  • i dont know if it is the same trailer or not but i passed it coming across I 80 last spring right close to the buckeye

  • Nice touch with this movie footage & ALABAMA 18-WHEELER song! Real tribute to those truck-driving dudes! Keep America rolling on! Btw., I watched this film as a kid, in an Yugoslav small-town nicklodeon, was real fun & LOL!

  • loved that painting on the side of the trailer. and that's a kw allright.

  • one of my favorite movies, and songs all in one nice!

  • where is that georgous KW & Trailer now?

  • Would luv to know, but if u notice - later in the movie, it's a White GMC, not a KW.

Had some great shots tho' of the true kings of the hwy - those who had to drive the pieces o' stuff and who got beat to their bones to bring all of us what we depended on.....

  • what are you smoking? it was a kenworth threw the whole movie. in part 2 it was a gmc general the part 3 snowman was driving a 359

  • That would be a 359 extended hood PETERCAR. Not quite the modern day hotrod but it damn sure could be!!!!

  • @Bigdaddyshideout yea probably only watched part 3 twice i didnt like it at all, it was a discase to the 1st smokey and the bandit. 2nd one was about as bad other than the begining that was the coolest part, never see big rig races in america other than drag races

Like crap I should have passed that house a half hour ago! • I am very proud of all the truckers out there on the road,I have family who are truckers, and family friends of mine who are truckers. I know how hard it is for them to be gone from family all the time.Thank you truckers for doing such a winderful job out on the road, and keep your spirits up. I used to go trucking with family a few times, and I know it is hard work. God Bless you all Truckers.

  • Being the son of a trucker, it always annoys me when I see a commercial for a lawyer who says that "you're never at fault when a truck's involved." People like that piss me off. Another thing is ignorant people who say that America doesn't need trucks anymore or that they cause too much pollution and everything should be hauled by trains.

As the proud son of a trucker, I feel that all truckers - regardless of race - are my kin.

As the song says... Roll On!

  • @AmericanPride42 ahmen this nation depends on trucks yet every one wants to blame them

  • @AmericanPride42 You are never at fault if you're in a four wheeler and you hit a truck. Don't you know that big truck with a 53' trailer on the back of it and weighing 80,000 pounds on 5 axles is invisible? They never saw the truck therefore is the trucks fault for being there. Hit someone in a CMV and that's the first thing they'll scream is "i didn't see him". Oh lets not forget were insured and not for a piddily couple thousand like most in a four wheeler. Lawyers love that shit.

  • @N5VAG i was hauling a crane afew years ago, police escorts, discos dancin and all that. escort went through the light, car that was sittin there turned right in front of me, like she didn't know i was comin despite the light show comin down the road. i was in a 379. got so so close to her, i couldn't even see her in front of of me. i know what you're talkin bout.

  • @AmericanPride42 trucks are a legitimate business, lawyers know that. they tell people how much money they can get and after hearin this so long, it's embedded in peoples brains, ( wanna get payed, get stupid with a driver ).

  • @AmericanPride42 I agree with you totally.

  • @AmericanPride42 i agree i hate when im on the road and i see these lil four wheelers cutin off trucks they havent got a clue where the blind spots are one these trucks i dont drive em much as im a technician for Cummins but i definatly have more respect for drivers than the others on the road

  • @AmericanPride42 I was a trucker for 15 years and because of the population size in the US trucks are not going anywhere. If there was a National Strike tomorrow America would stop in it's tracks, and anyone that doesn't believe that is beyond ignorant. As far as Lawyers are concerned, they have done nothing but damage to the US with their distortion of facts and the Constitution, and so consider most of them douche Bags !!! Look at the one in the White House now and many others.

  • @Back2Dixie The ntsb did a study some 30yrs ago, if one third of the trucks stopped due to the lack of diesel fuel, we would have 10 days until the entire nation shut down , the first was GAS, then Hospital supplies....get the point, then canned goods, fresh meats and veggies, rubber tires(of all things) , what we do is important, i"ve been behind the wheel of (something) since 1978, I'm still driving today, because this nation still matters ,and you as "truckers" still make it happen for us all

  • @oldrumer4u Bless ya'll hearts! Big thanks to all for our "good life"

  • proud wife of a trucker here and people only knew how hard it was on the truckers and their families ... thank you for the tribute ...this is also mine and dear husbands song for when he is gone ROLL ON @AmericanPride42
