  • I'll give the paleo diet a shot, but ain't no way in giving up milk. Stuff is too damn good.

  • @tatsumakisempyukaku meat has hormones...from animals.

  • @tatsumakisempyukaku Modified Paleo diet is perfectly all right, unless you have a known allergy or other issue that makes consuming cheese or other milk products impractical. Just remember to drink whole milk, and preferably milk or milk products that are locally made and are whole foods.

  • Hey all... Have you ever used DietOramy food plan (find it on Google)? I have found a handful of jaw dropping matters concerning it plus my father dropped lots of body fat by using it.

  • I'm keen to grasp a little more about diet plan programs - I am making use of a considerable amount of DietOramy eating plan (identified it on Google) for a number of time now and I am truly shedding fat and am excited regarding this!

  • Why is grain problematic?

  • @workh4rd The phytates in grains bind tightly onto minerals like calcium, magnesium, copper, and zinc,

keeping you from absorbing them. They also leach minerals from your reserves. Their lectins

poke holes in your intestinal lining. And the grains that contain gluten—which accounts for

almost all of them—are a health hazard to those with sensitivities to gluten, which accounts for

    seven out of ten people.

  • @boob72 oh, thanks!

  • no beeeeeerrrrr ???????????????????

  • why not legumes? I think are very healthy

  • you'll have less energy is because you're cutting carbs (your body's natural source of energy)

    carbs don't make you fat.

excessive portion sizes with a sedentary lifestyle makes you fat and causes all the diseases mentioned above.

sufficient portions 6 times a day with regular exercise...

our ancestors were so healthy because they never had cars, tv, pc, etc and they had to work for their life.

    don't be fooled. be healthy.

excessive protein without carbs can cause ketosis.

  • @mrgalvinable Fat is better source of energy and these days it is overlooked. Cut carbs and eat more good fats.More energy and better health;)

  • has anyone gone paleo and NOT cut out quinoa and say, lentils? I'm considering trying this diet as opposed to going more raw.

  • When you switch to Paleo expect to have less energy at first but don't give up! It will pass. Your body is switching to fat burning mode after being spoiled on instant blood sugar from carbs. Also if you workout a lot you will lose the puffy bigger look at first also. Once you see your true muscle definition you can work on real muscle density over bloated and inflamed muscle. You can run without losing breath, lift more and recover faster. Have faith, it works.

  • DON'T ELIMINATE LEGUMES!!

  • Very informative, but blimey, that music needs changing!

  • Thanks for posting this video. Out of interest, why are legumes removed? Eg. Chickpeas are a good source of natural protein, etc, etc.....

  • The music made my ears bleed.

  • @BulldozerJack what do you mean? like your brain got its monthly period?

  • 2:50 Omega-3s are anti-inflammatory! ....I popped in a fish oil when i saw that LOL

3 people that dislike this are friends with Jenny Craig :D

  • Great diet, great video. Shit music.

  • Sounds like the Atkins diet to me. Guess you can market anything if you give it a new name.

  • @thefoundation4pi

There is nothing new about the word Paleo. Maybe you should go back in time and tell the Cro-Magnon cavemen they were eating a fad diet.

  • @totally8bit And where are the Cro-Mags now?

  • @thefoundation4pi

    Sarcasm?

  • I am vegetarian. Can I still eat brown bread as my only grain and milk as my only dairy? What about chocolate? This diet is very boring.

  • @sunnyastronaut Obviously a diet that focuses on a meat isn't for you...

  • @bonetaylor1620 Yeah I guess youre right.

  • Now I know why all of those rice eating asians are morbidly obese, and same with the irish eating potatoes :P I had imagined we evolved from underground storage organ energy source but I don't know. Nutrition seems so confusing. Why do we drink so many calories today, so much empty fructose. OTOH, whole foods heal, probably of any type, but beyond that which is best- starch based, fruit based or paleo type? All I know, I don't wanna end up like fat rice eating asians

  • @peacewalker7

Did you consider that maybe they just don't eat enough of it to get fat?

  • I'm not saying I disagree with this diet because I am going to go by it when I begin crossfit, but you keep saying that early humans on this diet were healthier but we live so much longer nowadays. Why is this better?

  • @BlakeMcMurrayMusic

watch this one then and skip to 3 mins

Paleo in a Nutshell Part 1: Food

  • @cbasie2856 we ate a lot if carrion. As in animals that had been killed by a big predator or died from an injury or old age. Whatever bits and pieces were left, we would scavenge. As if Paleolithic man would turn down a bison head that was left over after the lion or whatever predator had taken the 'lion's share' (haha a pun). Also, we were endurance hunters. Tracking our prey over several days till it dropped from exhaustion. We would have eaten at least a bit of meat several times a week.

  • The problem with this diet is that how much meat are we supposed to eat? How much fruits, vegetables are we supposed to eat?

We wouldn't be able to hunt during ice age that much because most of the animals are way too fast for us to catch and they can outrun us, when we could just pluck fruits, vegetables, nuts off the ground easily. We needed some major technology to capture bison like a gun, but we didn't have that back then. All we had was a carved out piece of stone that couldn't do much.

  • @CBasie2856 That's not true. We were hunting Mammoths long before we had guns. Hunting is a highly speciallized skill and so is flint knapping, the making of stone points for your arrowhead or spear. Consider obsidian, a stone that is sharper than any steel blade. This stone was used as scalpels by doctors just ten years ago. If anything, the modern gun, used for hunting, has removed a lot of us further away from our natural state. Natives and modern hunters still use the bow to hunt deer.

  • This is an excellent diet for someone who wishes to live the average lifespan of a paleolithic hunter- about 33 yrs or so. Your brain survives on carbohydrates alone and its hard to get all your B vitamins from veggies/meat/etc. The conversion of amines>carbs (what energy is stored in) produces toxic nitrogen waste (this is why people have B.O) and is taxing on your liver. Beta oxidation of triglycerides > carbs which creates a highly acidic environment. Plus theres biomagnification.

  • @shihaku What do you propose...I don't think I want to be a rat or a bird, which are specialized to eat grains. I only want to be a 'human', which we are specialized to eat meat, fruits, and veggies. To support that, we been eating the paleo-diet for 99.6% of our evolution. Did you know? Fats is actually used for energy, and carbs is instead use as body-fat. Why do you think they continue to grow grains? Its fast, easy, cheap, and ready to process.

  • @shihaku To tell you the truth. Cavemans, mostly died of germs, viruses, and trauma(caused by severe wounds). Unlike today, where our society revolves around sewers, and an advance in healthcare.

Another thing. Carbohydrates is needed to process the brain, the problem is, too much carbohydrates deprives the the brain of glucose, and yet today it is the largest part of our diet. Do you actually think a grain can actually beat any fruit or vegetable out there?

  • hate the music

  • Drinking the water from fresh cut coconuts (green coconut) is the best medicine, when it comes to athletic exersion. Makes me glad I live in the tropics, fruit and vegetable markets litter the streets and best of all its cheap as hell!

  • Nuts and seeds contain gluten and lectins. ""If it doesn't swim, run, or fly, or isn't green and grow in the ground, don't eat it." - John Beradi

  • @AbsoluteMonarchist

Nuts contain gluten? Are you crazy?

  • @totally8bit - Hydrolyzed vegetable protein contains gluten and is found in many processed nuts. Perhaps I should have said processed nuts.

  • @AbsoluteMonarchist

You scared me for a second there...

  • As part of my training regimen (completed 15-mile and 20-mile hiking circuits), I switched to the paleo diet. Can't believe the difference!

  • Hi

Thanks for the info about the paleo diet on this posting, its very interesting.

I love the music you put with it too...who is the artist/band?

    cheers

    james.

  • yes, because our ancestors had access to a wide variety of slaughtered animals and exotic fruits.

  • Is this some kind of new hysterical symptom?Exactly how long back in history must we go?Bread exists for about 30000 years and lentils have prehistoric evidence. You advice to consume without restriction all these kinds of meat, but do you have any idea what's the real percentage of the grass-fed or naturally raised beefs, pork ,etc?I agree to a healthy and natural way of life, but I don't believe I should become a Cro-Manion to achieve it.

  • im a teenage what can i drink instead of milk?

  • @091647100 If you worry about calcium, you can consume sesame pulp (mostly known as"tahini") and dry figs(they contain 120 times more calcium than milk)

  • @091647100 drink coconut milk or almond milk

  • @wicks589 : Both are good but water should be your go-to drink.

  • @091647100 water

  • @091647100 I like to drink vanilla coconut milk, it's a little strange at first but you get used to it quickly. I like to just sip on a small glass, it's like drinking candy. You can get it pretty much anywhere, walmart carries it.

  • @091647100 I do NOT mean this sarcastically: There is an amazing substance called water. Look into it.

  • @091647100 Drink water, what for do you need milk? You had to drink it when an infant, you're not an infant any more... Coconut milk - drink it ONLY from the coconuts , god forbid drinking the commercial canned one.

  • @091647100 What do you think?---Water...

  • @091647100 almond milk or coconut milk

  • @091647100

Coconut milk is amazing! So Delicious is all organic. You might also want to try almond milk :)

  • @091647100

    milk is good for you.

paleo diet is dumb, since when was legumes problematic?

  • @091647100 fuckin g water for starters who in hell had you drinking milk, thats for baby cows.

  • @091647100 eat lots of fruits that have calcium in them. for instance, blueberries and oranges have more calcium in them than other friuits.

  • damn it! what's wrong with chickpeas?! they aren't THAT bad lol!! and i love fava beans!! full of protein and hardly any fat.. whats wrong with that stuff?!! and i work out and instead of drinking one of those toxic death "protein shakes" i eat a can of tuna and a hand full of chickpeas or fava beans.. washed down with water.. then a couple pieces of fruit to put sugar in my body to push the protein into the muscle..so what the hell is wrong with legumes, huh?!

  • The Massai eat barely anything but blood and milk. So, I think for people who have the capability to digest it, it's fine.

I shall do some more research on the various claims put forth by this diet. It looks as though it has potential.

  • @anglaismoyen Also, our ancestors ate starchy tubers. Therefore, potatoes should be okay.

  • @anglaismoyen : I'd favour sweet potatoes and yams over white potatoes.

  • You spelled "were" wrong at the bottom of the video at 2:10 it bugs me.

  • Grains and lentils aren't bad. Don't believe the Paleo hype. Processed food, sugar and other junk is bad. If you eat only natural foods, including whole grains and legumes you can live a long and healthy life.

  • @Anarki23x

    no fuck you

  • The problem is the fats are not from grass fed animals and are most meats from obese animal? You have to becareful of omega 3's because too much can lower your immune system, NK cells.

  • why eliminate chikpeas and lentils??? they dont cause high blood sugar?

  • @Inflamsx

yes they do ive just been diagnosed with pre diabtes and i stopped all carbs rice wheat lentils barley sugar etc and its all gone. Grains are killers and diabtetes production lines. i dont know about fruit though they also have sugar carbs so ive stopped them also. I eat only vegatbles meats fish chicken and nuts seems to do tthe trick

  • @TerryNoble

sorry to blow your bubble but vegetables are carbs too. If you don't eat fruit you don't know anything about Paleo.

  • @TerryNoble omg please eat some fruit, or at least a multivitamin.

  • @TerryNoble fruits have natural sugars youll be fine!

  • @Inflamsx Because they were not readily available to our ancestors. They were introduced when agriculture started.
