I dont think the checkers to chess thing is THAT accurate. In 40k, sure you can just shoot stuff, but there are maneuvers and whatnot. In fantasy you can just charge right into cc. not THAT much of a difference. Admittedly there is more magic, but otherwise, i think its more like checkers vs. chinese checkers. kettle and the pot
Dude I really want to start Fantasy (as Orcs and Goblins) and I plan on watching this whole series to git a grip on stuff so I can plan on what to buy.
P.S. The next Fantasy army review you should do Orcs and Goblins
no offence but u got 1 thing rong when talking bout magic its not a support element but a VITAL INDISCRIBABLY NEEDED element for the Vampire Counts (as well as fear and vampires of corse) i understad that ur statment was outlining magic in general but as a former counts play (dark elves now) i know how important it can be so sorry if this has just confused people
in my opinion thay all as good its just if you feel you whant to play (in my opinion Vampire counts have the largest learing curve and a bit tricky to start with)
ya i agree with ya but i dont think its that much harder than 40k i mean it is but not that much. i mean i picked it up quick but i usually pick things up quick. but i agree about the learning curve i picked up the game but my army took a few to get down completely. then i played with my boys army and had another curve to get and ur right about the army being urs. i've seen my army done by three diff people and each did it diff than i did and thats cool. i cant wait to watch the rest of these
just one question is the rulebook supplied in the skull pass set, is that a complete rulebook? With all the special rules and such, or is it an abridged version?(missing some of the rules, so then I would have to buy the fifty dollar one anyway)
after watching all 7 videos i can honestly say: really great job dude, i can see a lot of people giving fantasy a shot :) i find it is a lot more involving and i personally find the miniatures more easy to paint but that may just be me.
some rules in fantasy is a bit odd tho. field of view for one. =)i left fantasy for 40k not that i really ever got into fantasy to say i know the game

I beg to differ, the chance of Teclis miscasting TWICE in one magic phase isnt very big, because he ignores the first miscast :P
You did say "CAN" tough....
