  • Awww...now I have a tear in my eyes. I just want to make her feel better. Animals are amazing if one just stops long enough to appreciate them as living beings. They feel separation anxiety, fear, loneliness, joy, happiness & contentment. I read in a national magazine that primates can die of a broken heart if they lose a baby to death and dogs have long term memories of their littermates. Awesome...THANK YOU for sharing!

  • @CosmicSchemeofThings Thanks so much for your kind words. It is said that foxes bond for life as well.

  • didnt know animals could cry in emotion. i wouldnt think anything could irritate the eye in a situation like this...

  • its so tear jerking for me that i turned off the video 2 seconds in

  • All living things...things with hearts...no hearts do not trigger emotion, lol...if you get the point then ill go on XD, any animal can tell if it's being treated badly of course whimpering can signal that, it's rare for an animal to cry though even though they have tear glands, of course they dont have the same emotions as humans except for the snugglebugs x3 sorry nerding ._.

  • I know that if an animal (especially in dogs) licks his mouth like that it means they are emotionally unsettled/distraught. This is a pretty amazing video.

  • aww... *sniffles*

  • I dunno.. ive caught my cat tearing up after an intense moment like this.. She looked pitiful, hung her ears down, sulked.. eyes watered up. Looked like crying to me.

  • why is she crying?

  • aww its so sad kevies sad...i like briggets white fur wat breed is she of fox?(plz answer at my channel,i dont retern to the vids)

  • oh whoa...I thought I seen an actual tear drop in the beginning! =0

  • More than likely you did. Kevie is a very emotionally sensitive girl.

  • both of the foxes you have a soo beautiful!

  • Aww, hope ya hugged her after that.

  • I had no clue foxes could cry! That's so cool yet sad D:

  • Let's see..first of all Bridgette & Kevie are inspected and up to date on their shots by a vet who is specially licensed to treat foxes. Second don't you realize that by desensitizing a 'wild' fox towards humans you're only asking for trouble for the fox? Third neither Bridgette nor Kevie are 'wild'..gosh I wish people would learn to read the profile page. Lastly I am licensed with the Ohio state DNR and have annual inspections..will gladly provide all the necessary info for 'reporting' me.

  • Try bothering watching the rest of the videos before you make wild and ignorant accusations Dr. Do-little,

  • if i was you i wouldn't feed a wild fox because first off it mite have worms, secound your just getting it into a bad habbit that every time it sees humans that means there is going to be food.

    :(

  • OWNED

  • come here sweety i'll give u a hug

  • I had no clue foxes could shed real tears. She's probably thinking "No, not physically injured, but my pried hurts!-sob-"

  • Aww, I didn't think foxes could cry. She was even sniffling :(

  • im not exactly convinced. i think she's tearing due to irritations in her eyes.

  • Isn't that a little cynical?

  • Well, I'm not about to intentionally traumatize Kevie just to prove the fact that foxes do have feelings.

  • Just so you know, I was actually replying to JukoDDT, who wasn't convinced that Kevie was crying because of emotional reasons. Trust me, I would NEVER want you or anybody to hurt Kevie. :)

  • un effing believable! it made me tear up, seriously. love your videos, keep posting!

  • what happened to her though?

  • aww :(

  • Fascinating. Sure, my dogs have feelings, but I have NEVER seen them shed tears for emotional reasons (they have many other ways to express themselves). I didn't know tears could be a sign of emotion in a fox. Wow!

(And yeah, I won't tell, but thx for cuddling her anyways lol)

  • i think its because of the sun... because i heard that humans are the only animal that shed tears because of emotion or pain.

  • That's crule. Not only humans will shed tears of pain.

  • yes, i know the comment is 3 moths old...but like comehome14, i think i should reply :]

Any animal can cry at any point, including my cat, and a dog that i know....When my elderly cat , Tigger, died, Shadow wouldnt stop shedding tears of hurt and greif, and he wouldnt leave a certain spot. Even though it seems irrelivent, its the same because he too is an animal. ^____^ so animals are emotional too, including foxes. :3

  • shes so beautiful even when crying, its kinda amazing...

  • Aww, that made me cry, too! She's such a sweetie.

  • poor baby hope she is gonna be okay

  • I showed this video, along with several others to my mother, and it nearly brought her to the point of tears as well.

I don't think most of us realize just how sensitive animals are.

  • Poor darlin'! ='[.]'=

  • what happened to her? or what happened to make her feel that way?

  • This was right after the "Fox ettiquette 101" series.

  • I did not know that these animals shed tears through emotions. *cries*

  • Omg..I Gonna Cry Myself!! arghh!!!! nooOO!!

  • why do people say animals dont have souls HOW DO YOU KNOW we cant understand them!HOW can we know they dont have souls!

  • i think anyone who says that needs to adopt a dog. my grandmom STILL says stuff like that. but she stopped saying it about my dog when she baby-sat her for a week!

  • Well, imafurryhusky, even though your comment is about 8 months old, I guess I should answer.

If they are Christians, they should read Numbers 31:28. I know, I once believed that animals lacked souls because of the apparent lack of evidence (Which is a logical fallacy, but anyway...)

It is mentioned in Ecclesiastes however that an animal's SPIRIT goes down into the earth, while God takes a person's.

The Bible is silent as far as animal afterlife is concerned. That much I know.

  • Well, I am Christian and here are my thoughts on that:

As far as what I know, I heard animal don't have souls, but they have spirits. Souls are unique to mankind because it allows them to choose right or wrong. Animals have spirits but they do not carry the same burden as mankind in making those decisions.

Aside from all that, I do believe we all go to the same place. Remember, "The lion lies down with the lamb." But that's of course if you believe that. Anyway, I love Kevie. Kevie is cute. :)

  • @comehome14 This is a video of a beautifull fox please take your religious junk elswhere. I came here to see this pretty fox. not to get preached at.

  • @greytimberwolfpup

Yes, because explaining something is so obviously the exact same thing as preaching! Thank you for your enlightening and insightful response.

  • Foxes, all animals, have emotions. When you yell at say, your cat, you can see signs that its frightened, and when stroked its purring because its feeling deep joy. And to me foxes have emotions completely the same as humans, people.

  • My God that breaks my heart. How can anyone say animals don't have a soul?

I have seen my little dog cry, he is a 7 and 1/2 y/o dachsie.

    He is so sensitive,

    Sweet Kevie

  • Yeah Kevie is a very sensitive, emotional girl. Oh how I hated filming her when I really wanted to cuddle her instead...she got plenty of snuggling after the camera stopped rolling though.

  • My friend has a mated pair of foxes (though for some reason they seem not to be able to get Kits going on, not for lack of trying) and her Todd tends to be a happy go lucky nutball who is oblivious to the world most of the time but her Vixen can get rather moody like this. She usually only cries like that if she has been verbally scolded by my friend.

It is somewhat interesting that a verbal scolding works for her better than any sort of physical one.

  • Although it breaks my heart seeing my little girl crying, I felt this video would help others to see that foxes can be emotional sometimes.

  • :_(

  • Poor baby... :_(

  • Makes you kinda think how the foxes in the fur farms feel like...

Sorry for bringing nasty thoughts here. But I think it just might be worth thinking about.

  • No need to apologize at all...thank you for your compassion and yeah we need to speak for the foxes who can not speak for themselves in words that humans understand. Foxes are sensitive and they do have feelings, both physical and emotional.

  • Yeah, well somebody just tell me, what's the difference between the fur farming industry and an industry that flays dog puppies for money? The latter idea sounds pretty horrible to anybody, but the previous one somehow doesn't. Why? Because foxes are 'pests'?

P.S. I'm deeply sorry for my horrible comment. But has anyone ever thought about that?

And by the way, it's good you speak. :)

  • aww, I want to cuddle her!

  • Aww poor Kevie!

  • Aww... Poor Kevie...

  • Kevie is very emotional...wait EXTREMELY emotional. She cries over even the slightest thing. It breaks my heart.

  • *hugs Kevie*

  • Takes Kevie away from you. She has to shed a few tears in order to prevent bodily injury to either herself or to Bridgette. Which would have eventually happened had her unacceptable behavior been allowed to escalate. It breaks my heart seeing any of the girls upset but it's better this way, for a short time, than to see them physically injured or worse. :o)

  • I understand. =/

  • LOL but don't tell anybody I cuddled her a little while later k? ;o)

  • I won't. ^^

  • Poor Kevie. Maybe she feels usurped by the kitten.

  • Just amazing to see how even animals show emotions. People think animals dont have a soul but indeed they do. You see people kicking animals thinking it teaches them but you are just torturing them physically and emotionally. And they wonder why animals get so mean towards other people after being beat countless times. I know Kevie wasnt physically harmed but again it shows animals are just like us. Full of emotion and full of spirit.

  • The emotional lives of animals. Just further proof. Amazing, Beanie. Truly amazing!!

  • Thanks so much! There is SO much more to caring for a fox, both physically and emotionally, than just "I WANT ONE"! They are SO complex!

  • Indeed they are. And there is so much to learn from the fuzzies. I can't begin to tell people how much we learned from Sasha. And I know you are learning from Bridgette and Kevie! You are a good fox mom!!
