@ all baby boomers,Awesome song, the only thing wrong with the song is reading all the comments about how this was the greatest time for the boomers, when truthfully you are just old now, and too boring to know there's a lot of awesome shit going on today, and acid never dissappeared you just got lame
it,s the who what more do you want oh a second rate version bye lb well go for it .opinion is allowed in this world still so i will go with the who and some will go with lb nomater how wrong thay are
Great show but man the summits air was on the fritz that night shuttin off & on...mustve been 125 degrees but WELL worth seeing the ORIGINAL WHO!!!!!!
the who, sabath, and all those bands in the 70's cleared the way for the best band of all time......... METALLICA. ..... this coming from someone who enjoys all types of music. metal, rock, thrash, whatever, u have to admit this song sends chills down spine. great vocals!!!
Not as crisp as some other versions I´ve seen or heard but as powerful as any BBE I´ve run into. Great post! Daltry´s vocals are always superb on this song and John´s backing adds more than it subtracts, Pete has some beautiful rhythm fills before the big break, and Keith.... Well is there any comment I can make regarding his performance here which would tell you anything your ears haven´t made abundantly clear for you already. On a good night they had no equal in ANY artistic medium..
@Sharkpredator hahha facts are facts huh.....limp bizkit did this song better then The Who??........Maybe opinions are opinions....and YOUR opinion is most likely not the opinion of most, as limp bizkit is not even good enough to be the crap on the bottom of The Whos shoes. But you ARE entitled to it.
Great video, particlularly since this is now 34 years old! The who were way ahead of their time. Imagine, Led Zeppelin, the Who, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and the Stones were all at their peak at this time. Great time for music
Yeah, that's true defintly the 70' were the best years for rock'n roll, don't forget queen, the beatles, paulmccartney, harrison, lennon, whitesnake, rainbow, SO PERFECT!!!
@FRocker93 the beatles?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! dont deserve to be mentioned among the who led zeppelin deep purple etc.. i mean this is rock n roll not sillypop
@FRocker93 i've been saying that for years, the 70's had it all, elton john, heart, styx, billy joel, kansas, frampton, foreigner, stones, who ,led zep, rod stewart, grand funk, bowie, csn&y,doobie bros,
steely dan, eagles,procol harem, van halen,jefferson airplane/starship,moody blues,allman bros,
grateful dead, bad co.,queen, quiet riot, bee gees, chicago, do i need to go on? many many others, just watch midnight special, all the motown bands j-5,temptations,5 tops, supremes, etc...70's rule !!
@pjmcdono Elvis entertainer 50's. Beatles band of 60's. Led Zep band of 70's. Michael Jackson entertainer 80's. Garth Brookes entertainer 90's. Beatles most successful and influential. Stones deserve title greatest rock n roll band, (I prefer The Who). Greatest live band The Who. Most popular Led Zep.
@utuber1789, just saying that all those bands were at their peak at this time in history

one listen of the original, and you can see why limp bizkit didn't kick in - no person alive would be able to drum like this again.

@aidyspady999 Too bad LB's version is better. Much respect to The Who, but facts are facts. LB plays it better live than this.
