  • very nice! but focus more on turning the body, realy show off the chopping motion, maybe even exagerate it by leaning in

  • A talented boy, you show such grace in your swings, you show the enemy your not scared, but you lack that agression

  • Thanks for posting this! Er, how did you figure out sizing for your kwan dao if you don't mind me asking? I really want to learn this weapon but I haven't been able to find any sort of sizing charts like they have for straight and broadswords :X I'm about 4' 6" so it's not exactly an issue of it being too short for me... XD

  • Looks good. That was a particularly crisp low cat stance you paused in around 0:42.

  • I thought your moves were very clean and you had excellent blade control (big probably with people doing kwandao---myself included--is bad blade control where you stop cutting and start paddling lol)

Keep up the good work =)

  • awesome !!!!

I wish my xiebu would be like yours, at 0:41 ...

  • thanks! ^_^

  • ohh sorry I mean xu bu

  • NICE SHIBU! JIA YO!

  • Beautiful weapon and nice performance.

    Thank you very much.

  • oh your form looks very nice..

  • Nice performance!

  • such an impressive weapon.

    well done!

  • That was very beautiful and let me tell you, you definitely do alot better than I do. You really do. Love the uniform, by the way. You were awesome.

  • cool upload !!

    what style is this?

  • Nice clean performance. What I think can add to it if you focus more on the cutting and slicing instead of just turning the weapon around.

  • thx for the tip, olaf168! i'll definitely work on that =P

  • What style do you use?

  • Hey, I remember you! that was the East Coast Collegiates...I did my traditional Kwan Dao after you...actually, I'm the girl in the ugly banana yellow silks at the end of your video :-P

That was an excellent form - we have to exchange ideas next time we see each other! Kudos :-)

  • I already wondered why there was a big banana standing in the background :P

  • Do people perform Guan Dao with a solid blade ever?

  • Mmm...you won't with a performance Wushu form. If you want to see heavier steel find a traditional form.

  • Wow. 9setionwhip? Do you know how to use one? I have only read about it in martial arts novels.

  • Not yet--I studied JKD and Shotokan a while ago. I've had several health issues and just started training again about a year ago. When I started I was limited to doing Taiji from a chair. Now I'm doing internal/external Kung Fu, a bit of Bagua, and just starting some introductory Wushu forms. A whip chain is something that I look forward to being able to train with when I am further in my journey=)
