@pyro999maniac idk what that other guy is talking about, but I'm in California and nearly every house is made of wood, I actually can't recall ever seeing a brick house here. But the main thing that causes houses to catch on fire is because they have thatch and wooden roofs, but most are converting to slate and tiles nowadays.
is USA the answer in no because the houses are rubbish build. In Britain yes because we use decent materials that doesn't give way so easily or burn so easily!
@misslavey quite simple. in britain we build using bricks.....rarely wood. our structures are much more sturdy. This would not happen. In the USA a lot of properties are wooden......which is why this happened and which is why they burn so easily.
@pyro999maniac this video isn't from the USA. this video is from Norway. now since i'm actually from america, i can assure you that just like the UK, we have building types of every kind. i realize you're just a dolt who's trying to take a pot shot at the US, but it didn't work since you are incorrect.
@misslavey my mistake. and i'm not a 'dolt' nor do i try and take pot shots at the USA...i have a fair few american friends. @TowerClimber81 Wtf does you climbing a tower have to do with this video? I can put two totally unrelated topics together too and make a point.... "I sometimes eat cupcakes with my coffee. You're totally jelly over this video, Told you."
In case anyone cares: If that room was 12' x 12' (which is wasn't quite) and if the water made it to 2' deep than the water in that room would have weighed just shy of 18,000 lbs (about 8155 kg). I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did! (Water is 1 gram per cubic centimeter. The room is probably closer to 10' x 8' but you get the idea. Feel free to check my math, I did it rather quick.)
@ch19972011 Chuck Norris has excellent bladder control, which is a good thing, because the last time Chuck Norris wet himself we got Hurricane Katrina!
@RizBurnin how selfish of you saying that? what about 3rd world countries??? but forget it..since you replied to me like that i dont expect you to have sensitivity! =/
@BrendaEsposito The water will evaporate and come back down as rain and we will be able to reuse it. Water wastage is a problem in places like nevada, India, Africa. But in many places in the world the water usage/water supply ratio is close to zero. Thus water wastage is almost impossible
@BrendaEsposito lol, I love it when people talk about wasting water. Do you honestly believe that once it leaves the tap it's gone forever? stoopid environmentalists
@fireraisr No. But sometimes it takes a very long time and a lot of effort and expense to get it back again. Talk to anyone who's lived with water restrictions for years at a time to know just how bad it can be.
@Tamaresque I have personal experience with water restrictions since I live in a town where they have been in place for the last 7 years. That's the main reason I think the term "wasting water" is so ridiculous, especially in places where it's so obviously abundant like in this video.
@BrendaEsposito It would be nice if also punctuated properly and used capitalization where needed. I'm sure you've taken an English class before (Though it's clear you haven't taken any science classes, as you don't understand how water works).
Think of it this way. Was anyone going to send that furniture or water to a 3rd world country? No. So stop complaining. In many places water isn't scarce, therefor it can be "wasted" (to some extent).
as long as this water wasn't typhoid infested is IS USEFUL. this is a waste no matter how much you want to see it otherwise. its not about this specific amount of water-its the attitude we have towards it globally that makes the difference in the long term.
Is it only Us Scandinavians that understand that this is old house, that were going to be demolished? But before they do that, they make a TV show named ''Don't do this at home''
So relax people, no water that could be used in another way was spilled, and the house could not be given to homeless people, couse it was in way to bad shape. And they were going to bould a new one.
shut the fuck up about wasting furniture and 3rd world countries and shit. this video would be boring with an empty house and they can do whatever they want with their own stuff.
@teriipiticult Those people without water wouldn't be able to get that water anyway.
and it was probably something wrong with the house, so they were going to tear it apart anyway. And it was not like anyone would give their house away for someone without a house.
This house could have been condemned for health reasons. Maybe it was full of lead paint or asbestos? Maybe the last tenants used it as a grow house or a drug lab? Before you comment on how they didn't consider giving it to the homeless, you should ask yourself "In what situations would it endanger more lives by not demolishing it?"
There are health codes and laws in place to PROTECT the lives of their citizens, and nobody deserves to live in a house that's deemed unfit for human tenants.
