  • Digging....

  • unerreicht.....Hammer Bass.....beste Interpretation dieses Stückes

  • Amazing performance; voice, guitar, hair and clothes!

  • @terrybriody I was around then, from '69 onwards, I was 19 and this was a slow dance number in the disco, getting close, chilling with the words and the smoke filled dance floor. Always good to hear these again......

  • They say Whiskey it's the best thing Scotland has produced ever, they're wong, it's NAZARETH.

  • Great track. Can it really be about 40 years since I went to see them. Man,so scary,

  • E o Manoel toca muito.

  • I saw them live twice in my teens and managed to get in their dressing room and they all signed my ticket, I still have it today ~ happy memories!! I wish I could go back to those times.

  • I like this.

  • anyone knows when this was broadcasted?

  • @Murdoch2008 Hi. This video is from the Beat Club. Chek their channel, its a realy good one. I dont know how to write in English, sorry if there is any mistake. Good luck

  • an interesting take on this song. Not bad but IMHO Gregg and Duane pretty much set a standard no one else can match. Jerry and the boys came close but Gregg's the greatest white blues vocals ever and Duane-well Duane was in a league of his own

  • I could listen to this one over, and over and....well, you know :) !!! Rock On !!!!

  • Bin 56 Lenze jung, dieses Stück von Nazareth ist.... oberaffengeil, sorry! Viele alte Erinnerungen werden wach....einfach nur...der Hammer !!!

  • This video is worth watching for Dan's hair alone!......not to mention one of the best voices in Rock-N-Roll......

  • Virtuosos all. The talent in this band is mind boggling. They sound just as good today as when I first puffed a couple back in '78 sitting in Mikey's attic.........

Talent-wise, this is the most under-rated band in musical history.

  • You have just witneesed the begining of heavy meatal

  • where the f did u get that LP with a Bigsby? reissue please.

  • fantastic bass line! great!

  • This is the best version I've ever heard !!!!!

  • @YankeeRhoad Me too!! <3

  • i like it !!!!!

  • This has always been my favorite Nazareth song and I have all their albums on vinyl. I had 'Close Enough for Rock and Roll' in the 8-track player of my '64 Fairlane when I got busted for smoking pot in '77 ;))

  • @EDSHAM my fav song also, I to had the 8-track Close Enough,I had a 71 Chevelle but never got caught smokin pot, thank god DUI wasn;t a big thing back than.

  • @EDSHAM LOL.I did windowpane acid in73,wait,I mean I looked through a windowpane,just in case Fatherland,I mean Homeland security is watching.What a relief.NOT.

  • @EDSHAM Dude, listen to Devo's deconstructed version from Smooth Noodle Maps - it is the best version - it is from 1988 or 89.

  • parabenens pelo video original todos os dias so obrigado a ouvir este video

    a banda e de ++++++++++++++

  • Rock DAN roll

  • the dead took this in a whole other direction, but i dig this.

  • Sorry but I like the original best, believe it or not there was only one record sold at the time and I bought it.

  • More whammy Manny :-)

  • WTF man a picture of Che in the background.

  • Manny's playing and Pete's Bass made this the best version the song. Jeff Beck's version was sloppy Nazareth was tight

  • amo nazareth es lo mejor gracias

  • that one guy REALY likes pink aparently

  • best version.. i think..

  • Immer wieder betöhrend-spährisch gefällt mir

  • First saw them play this live at Victoria Hall, Stoke-on-Trent in the early 70s. They were support to Mungo Jerry and were amazing then and still are. Last time i saw them was in Stafford on tour with Thin Lizzy about 1978. Keep on rockin guys you are always value for money....

  • I'm lucky!

    I have this on DVD!

  • @ambromeli what´s the dvd´s name,please?thanx

  • @semanray Rock Classics(bought in Brazil)

  • Always loved Mannys tone..especially this version.

  • gimmme a break, robert plants version doesn't come close to this not on any level

  • This is great, however, nothing beats the original by Bonnie Dobson or Robert Plant's version.

  • @XenaPeel Bonnie wrote it but this is the bomb

  • Yur rite best version i've heard of the song, but then nazareth always was a excellent band

  • la raja wn!!!!

  • geile Stimme geile Mucke coole Typen

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

  • Guitar sounds great !

  • i like the way manny sticks his middle finger up whilst frettin lol

  • this is a far better version than all the others in my opinion, and manny charlton is a brilliant guitar player just like all the others mentioned before here his ability as a guitarist has no bounds he can play all types of guitar and styles and is very creative, nazareth albums are full of various guitar sounds all thanks to the very underated manny charlton.

  • @MrOctagon20 i still like long john baldry s bettr but this is pretty damn good as well

  • One of the best Naz songs

  • I bought the album when it came out just for this track. Good idea. I lost the actual album years ago, but replaced it with a CD and now I have it ripped to MP3 and will never lose it again.

Nazareth, when they were good, they were very, very good. Shame this version is a bit short, but it is still superb.

  • Am I the only one who thinks this very young Manny Chalreton looks like Malcolm Young??

  • Great archival footage, the band looks so young. What a cool cover!! What year was this shot? Thanks for the posting, superb.

  • Nazareth were always very good at cover versions. And they're Scottish so that's a plus.

  • Big dan Mac & Manny magic, all the other versions might be good, but Naz No 1

  • Manny looks cool without the moustache, but he's wearing the ugliest shirt I've ever seen. Thanks for showing off your farmer tan Manny! Anyway, agreed that this is the definitive version of this song.

  • I agree, the best version of this song. I heard Robert Plant's version, but it is not that good, in my opinion.

  • Yea, i dig big...........

  • this is the dogs man , what a bass groove

  • THANKS FOR THIS BRO,WAY COOL.

  • Moah is das gut ey...

  • has ANYBODY got accurate bass tabs for this song? IF so, please write me- I'd really love to play this song!!!

  • "the best guitarist of all time ? Don't be so bloody stupid. Better than Hendrix ? Satriani ? Vai ? Gilmour ? Blackmore ? Van Halen ? Schenker ? Lifeson ? Marino ? Clapton ? Gallacher ? Zappa ? etc etc" Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, etc., etc. Evebody are humans, Manny is a god. Only the stupids men don't know this truth: Manny is the best!

  • I love this song.

  • what the fuck is this shit? i want morning dew

  • @disasterpiece112 ur dead

  • his guitar tone....comments?

  • Agnew's bass is cool, and he has great playing style.

  • Aah...I love this song :)

  • foda foda foda

  • triple hum les paul...sweet

  • @sattek5 ohhell....midd is soap single....nice sustain anywho

  • Excellent !

  • I know Jeff Beck and Rod Stewart covered this track before, but Nazareth have a way of taking a track like this and creating a masterpiece.

  • Yet another so so track given extra umph via the Beat Club treatment.

  • I simply love it

  • excellent bass guitar

    thanks!

  • @qwertyqwertyatbehigh short scale Mustang bass

  • BEAT CLUB! \o

  • Thank YOU for sharing. This is a great song. My wife and kids love it too on roadtrips.

  • Absolutely, without a doubt, THE BEST version EVER made!!! Love, love, love this. Listen to it every day. Thanks Buzz 834 for posting this for our listening pleasure.

  • @2l6rko really best version ever? Have you heard Jerry do it?

  • That les paul black beauty sounds amazing. Think the pickup have been changed ,dimarzio super distortion?. Thanks lads, wonderful band.

  • Great

  • the best guitar player of all time

  • Manny Charlton was/is good yes, but the best guitarist of all time ? Don't be so bloody stupid. Better than Hendrix ? Satriani ? Vai ? Gilmour ? Blackmore ? Van Halen ? Schenker ? Lifeson ? Marino ? Clapton ? Gallacher ? Zappa ? etc etc.

  • @ScotRanger1960: Manny Charlton looks like he had a big time Jeff Beck fetish going on here. But I do like the first Nazareth album. It's not one of my major favorites from the period, but it's good, save for maybe "Red Light Lady." I absolutely love "I Had A Dream." Very touching song.

  • Can't say I'm fimiliar with the first Nazareth album. My Naz collection runs from 'Razamanaz' to 'Malice In Wonderland'. Don't have 'Nazareth' or 'Exercises'.

  • @MattHatter Red Light Lady was fantastic until it went into the symphonic mess towards the end..

  • @sirlordwhitman: I love Manny's bend on the strings at the end of each verse on that song. The lyrics are pretty trite though. And yeah, the Pt. II section was a huge mistake. Who the hell thought that was good?! Like no one in the studio or the band said, "You know....it's a little over the top isn't it?"

  • talking about a great footage and a great band , thanks BUZZ 834

  • Wow! my friend you got some brilliant footage, and Nazareth too :-)) awesome!!
